  1. Once again, I'm dying. From laughter. We've got loops. Without OD from a h[5B] starter in the corner: Here. With level 3 OD from a w[5C] starter in the corner: Here. This is absolutely hilarious. We seem to have these nonsensical looking highly wolf meter intensive loops that seem to do solid damage. If this ends up being practical+doesn't get patched I will be quite pleased (that would be quite funny). It really doesn't look all that hard in comparison to our other stuff and it seems as though we can incorporate it in our midscreen combo's as well. "Wolf Sweep Loops", hah. And lastly, our first 7k+ damaging combo. Sure, it's from a 6B FC starter in the corner and uses 75 heat+OD, but I'm just happy that we can actually do 7k+: Here.

  3. It's quite obvious that this "Michiru" fellow is merely poking fun at "Moy" for a past debate that related to uninformed Jin knowledge and Platinum main's somehow having an irregular brain size. I have a hard time believing that he wasn't aware of the rules as they were just pointed out to him moment's ago. Ah well, it's not really any of my business regardless (which directly contradicts me making this post, but oh well). Anyways, this is a relatively interesting tournament idea Hellknight; I'll be sure to tune in to the stream if I happen to be free on Sunday (thankfully 4:30 EST sounds like a good time for me). Hopefully more Valkenhayn players sign up by then, but who knows. I wholeheartedly agree. I'd like to partially blame her soothing and comforting voice for the love that has been bestowed upon her.
  4. 6B is now un-blockable? Ragna had to wake-up ID in order to escape the pressure. Damn.
  5. I guess some people just don't enjoy the sheer experience of being put into blockstun for 5 minutes at a time. Ah well, it's only netplay after all.

  9. I was rooting for the Valkenhayn players, joeboy185+AkihikoSanada-. Nice job you two. Congratulations to AkihikoSanada- for winning though. Shoutouts to raw Nacht Jager's for making me laugh. Shoutouts to myself for getting too hype over Valkenhayn play. Shoutouts to netplay for being netplay. That was a funny watch.
  10. Yes, that's why I stated that it's only "kinda" like a tick throw set-up.
  11. Valkenhayn's human 2A is wolf cancellable. Thus, 2A > 5D > 236C is possible. In no way, shape, or form is Valkenhayn ever in the air during this string. It's kinda like a tick throw set-up, but it shouldn't turn pink if done properly.
  12. The new input for our wolf exclusive command grab.
  13. Is this event being streamed by xTrueGunnerShadow or someone else? If so, I may tune in for a bit.
  14. Might as well add on a little bit to what Kiba had said, there is definitely more to consider; but here is the gist of it: Midscreen, you should almost always be blocking low against human mode (unless he's in the air obviously). Even if he does hit you with 6C he can't actually get a combo off of it unless he's in or close to the corner, plus it's rather slow so you should be able to block it on reaction a good amount of the time. However, new to CP, he can actually cancel 5C, 3C, and 2C into geschwind wolf, 5C being the most useful one in my opinion. Corner, you should be blocking low against human mode for a good amount of the time. However, there are definitely exceptions to this case. If he has 50 meter, watch out for j.C > RC > j.C fuzzy set-ups, and his 6C plays a more prevalent role in the corner as well. Also, watch out for 5B > Jump Cancel > j.D oriented set-ups. 2A > 5D > w[236C] set-ups are also relatively ambiguous. Midscreen and the Corner both work relatively the same with wolf mode, and you'll have to do some guessing. Even though he lost his fast 6 frame low that chains into itself 3 times, he still has many ways to open you up with lows. You'll always have to be weary of his command grab. Here are 2 basic CP exclusive blockstrings off of the top of my head: w[5A > 5B > 5C > 6D > j.A > j.C] or w[5A > 5B > 5C > 6D > j.A > Land > 5C] w[5A x N > 5C] or w[5A x N > 6D > j.C] In short, yes, you'll have to worry less about wolf mode lows. But be weary of his w[5C] and w[j.C], as they are both great normals that lead into solid damage.
  15. Did we not lose the 9D > w[j.B > j.A] > 5D > 2C > 6C, etc link from a grounded 236C confirm? That link entailed some of our most damaging mid-screen to corner combo's. Not to mention the fact that it had great corner carry for such little wolf meter usage (aside from the initial 9D). Obviously now we can do things such as 6B FC > 2C > 5C > 236C > 2C > 6C, etc in the corner and 5C CH > 236C > 6D > 5D > 2C > 6C when we're relatively close to the corner. The whole 6D > w[j.C > dj.C] combo route is more so related to us gaining new wolf normals, and less related to the actual Nacht Rosen changes. We lost a bit, and gained a bit. I'll personally miss the 9D > w[j.B > j.A] > 5D > 2C > 6C, etc combo's, other's might not. I do like the 236C > 2C > 6C, etc combo's in the corner though, as we actually get to omit the w[j.B > j.A] in places that we don't need/want it. Regardless, we'll still be doing less damage then in Extend. Aside from some of the new wolf normal starters. A cornered 5B confirm leading into 3857 damage is probably the closest thing that we currently have to Extend damage from a human starter, which is pretty great in my opinion. It'll be interesting to see how Valkenhayn progresses, though. I hadn't considered it. I'd unquestionably put Hima as 1st, and it would be a toss up between Masashi and Zekuso for 2nd and 3rd. They both excel in different area's, but I'd probably settle on Masashi for 2nd since he seems to be more comfortable with CP thus far. Zekuso is still amazing, though.
  16. Nice idea, it looks good. Our buffs are awkward. Wolf command grab damage buff barely matters since we're still doing less damage off of the follow-up combo then what we were doing in Extend. It's kinda nice for when we use it mid-screen/grounded/meterless though. At this point, I'm convinced that our grounded throw has better proration. We should not be getting these damage values in CP off of cornered grounded throws: Forward Throw > 2C > 6C > 2C > 6B > 5B > 2C > j.B > dj.B > j.C [2969 DMG, 22 HG] or Forward Throw > 2C > 6C > 2C > tk.214B > 2D > w[236B > j.236A > j.236B > j.214A] [2912 DMG, 21 HG] If you compare the damage values to our Extend counter-part, they are eerily similar. Not quite sure if the Nacht Rosen floating lower change was a buff, it's just a change really. We lost combo routes, and gained new ones. Same thing with the Nacht Jager blowback change. I do, however, believe that Mondlicht got buffed. From what I can tell regarding Mondlicht, we didn't really lose anything and we seemed to have gained a few new combo routes. Who knows how things will progress moving forward, though. Yeah, it seemed like a pretty solid list at the time. Glad you agree.
  17. I think that Uma no Hone is relatively solid, just not as good as the aforementioned 3. He's in the same tier as NAOO, in my opinion. It would go: S: Hima, Masashi, Zekuso A: Uma no Hone, NAOO B: People like Suuya and Jamuwo, the list goes on C: A select few such as Lolicon and Gagaga Give or take a few more in each tier (aside from S) since I merely named a few off of the top of my head. I'm sure that quite a few players will improve, though.
  18. Well, when you're losing to a Tager player in a tournament setting with Valkenhayn it's kinda hard to call the play "great", but alas. That astral was kinda funny against the Ragna player though. Also, I found out who the Ragna player was that Jamuwo played against; his name is "Akizuki". Feel free to edit the OP when you get the chance. I still maintain the notion that the 3 best Japanese Valkenhayn's are Zekuso, Hima, and Masashi.
  19. Figured that I'd reserve one more post just to be sure. I'm going to be expanding this thread quite some bit and because of the new OD system I'm not exactly sure as to how in-depth this thread is going to be. I may change the layout a few times until I finalize on one that suits our collective needs.

  21. New CH exception. 2B CH > 6B now works.
  22. Well, yeah, that's a given. However, if the Valk is turtling he will most likely be using quite a bit of wolf meter when trying to escape a Tager (w[j.236B > 6C]) for example. He'll also be walking back and forth via wolf mode. There will most definitely be times where he has to revert back to human mode, thus 2D becomes a semi-useful tool. Of course, it still does have quite a bit of recovery; so I'd suggest using it sparingly. Those Valkenhayn players might not be the best example, take a look at this match. Yes.
  23. Oh well, then I guess you may be out of luck. The only tools that come to mind in relation to chasing to down a Valkenhayn who is running away are 2D, spark bolt, and j.C. Perhaps you could taunt them while they are running away and pray that they become irritated and do something irrational? Just a thought.
  24. How pessimistic of you. Specifically, what are you having trouble with in relation to Valkenhayn? Perhaps I can alleviate a few of your issues. Aside from his ability to run away from you if he/she chooses to do so, of course.
  25. Yes, he does. Since w.5A no longer hits low they had to give him a new low hitting wolf normal, which is w.5C. It's much slower (in comparison to w.5A's start-up of 6 frames) and it doesn't chain into itself 3 times. However, the proration is evidently much better. He's essentially compensated some of his mix-up for a bit more damage in this regard. He also has a new wolf overhead which is wj.C. Blocking Valkenhayn is still not easy (which makes sense since he is pure rushdown character) but it is somewhat easier.
