  2. if mastering frcs is an execution barrier then sure, but you're going to have to learn a few for most every character. baiken's just got a bit more than average that you need to be confident with. but once you've got those down, her combos are easy enough, other than the 5s -> j.d frc thing (which still gives me problems occasionally) most definitely. baiken's the character i started with and i spent a lot of years wondering if that was a good choice, so trust me, i definitely agree with you that she's not a good choice for starters.

  4. i think baiken's kinda like anji in that their execution is fairly easy, but actually performing well with them takes a lot more practice.
  5. i don't know if i'd say she's super easy or anything (5s -> jd frc -> ad -> j.s -> j.d is still something im not 100% comfortable with even after 5 years sadly) but she's not particularly execution heavy for sure. but you said you're looking for a rushdown type character and baiken definitely isn't that. i agree with bobman, try jam out!

  7. for approach jump in over and over again while blocking. if she tries to air throw you, air throw her first (im almost not joking) once you're in, enjoy also, whoever said to backdash PB everything pretty much nailed it

  9. honestly i think you pretty much nailed it kaeru, anything more than that we'll just have to see for ourselves when the game comes out on console. this might be the wrong place for this, but i'm curious how (or if) you guys think the match-up against potemkin has changed in +R. that's the one match-up i've always had trouble with, and it's also the one i play the most by far. at the very least i'm really loving the changes slide head's getting.

  12. well tatami isn't jump cancelable anyway, so it's just a matter of super jumping as soon as the move is done / frc'd. i do that corner throw > 5h > tatami frc thing all the time, but only because i still have difficulty consistently doing throw > tatami. just gotta keep at it i guess
  13. very well done stuff, only thing i'd change is the video's title. if that video is supposed to introduce people to eddie, you should probably mention eddie in the title. looking forward to more!
  14. the psn release has a native delay of 3 frames, whiile the xbox has 4, so probably psn. however, it seems to have some bugs that the xbox version might not, though i might be wrong about that. i'd imagine the psn version is a lot more active online... the xbox version online is basically empty this thread has more info

  16. I'd love to try out one of those. Sadly I've got really long fingers, and I can totally see that being cramped. I've been learning how to use a Qanba and even that feels a bit cramped.
