  1. Well, im only telling you what people feel, it is not the same for them to have to download the compatibility patch that having the chars on the disc. (I personally don't really care) Maybe, maybe not, but the fact that many people feel (myself included) that they started this whole Free DLC characters propaganda after the backlash with capcom started is ineteresting to say it in a way If his propaganda was only about him talking that he doesnt want to charge for the characters, then no problem, but is the fact that he attacks the practice and implies that is wrong and that companies that do it are bad for doing it is why many people feel that they are doing it to capitalize and gain some sort of benefit from the backlash with the incident with capcom.
  2. Yeah, harada, my bad :/ People feel robbed knowing that the DLC chars are not DLC in reality and that they are sitting there complete, at least on MK, and on MVC3 they weren't complete and you had to download the rest of the data. Many people feel that if is in the disc, they don't have to pay twice for the content on it.

  4. Niitsuma Harada (thanks soba) is taking advantage of the backlash of the dlc chars of sfxt by giving those dlc chars for free, so he can be seen as a hero to the ignorant masses

  6. And those are the idiots that i am referring for, well part of them (We have many supposed not casual fg players moaning about this as well here and on srk). Those motherfuckers don't even know what they want, they don't want revisions, and they don't want dlc charcters. So what the fuck a company has to do to please them, or more importantly, why in the flying fuck should they bother on plese them, yes they are the ones that inflate the sales at the begining, but they are also the first to bitch and moan because if a company tries to make a revenue from their products, because god forbid that a company to try to make money, that is something that only greedy bastard do and shit like that. The best part is that those illiterate chimps complaint about fg's in general have sequelities problems, but they are very happy to buy that damn garbage of COD every year, LMAO I come from a video game football soccer competitive scene, and i find funny that we have never had this kind of problems with those games while at the FG's since 2009 has become one of the issues that the casualfags moan every single time.
  7. Bitch please, read the whole fucking discussion before jumping on it. Like I already said, the reason why they put Relius and CSEX as a disc is because no one outside a few hand of people bought the dlc chars, the major part of the people were saying stuff like they would wait for the next revision of the game that it would have them anyway, and when the next revision comes, this same people start complaining that relius and csex should be a free patch. There is no argument here, the major part of the fools want the revisions for free, and at the same time they dont want to expend money on DLC chars or Revisions. People bitch about BBCSEX like if its something done because they are a greedy company that want money, no shit sherlock, they are not making games to give them for free, what kind of stupid logic is that? Fighting games are like sport games, they build a foundation and then start growing from it, having periodically revisions or now that the technology allows it, DLC characters and balance patches is something that is expected, and should be done gladly, because it allows for the games to get better. But with the new influx of idiots that we had those last years, we have to deal with backlash for the game companies do what they are expected to do, put a product on the market for those who are interested on it. The worst part, is that we have to deal with a lot of crap of people who has shit on their head that expect that those companies should work for free, and that see releasing new DLC characters/patches or revisions as a bad thing. The market already spoke, the majority see DLC as a bad practice (for whatever stupid reason, and it doesn't help that capcom has done a lot of really moronic stuff, just see what harada is doing with tekken, and their dlc characters, they are taking advantage of the ignorance of the masses and their hate from what capcom did with the dlc chars on sfxt), but at the same time, they are not interested on buying new revisions of the game, because for some idiotic train of thought they believe that is a bitch move. I would have loved to get BBCSEX as a patch and had the option to buy relius as a DLC char, belive me, but i understand (because im not an ignorant fucker) why they weren't able to do that, it would have been a suicide for a businesses point of view
  8. Believe me that i know it, but in order to work, asw would need to change their approach of making the balance patch free while charging for the character. Making the balance free while is a nice touch done only for their fans, it doesn't put an incentive on getting the DLC characters for those who are not interested on them, and that is a huge lose monetarily speaking. Imo in order to work they could do something like retail, balance patch plus all the dlc characters, one balance patch grouped with one of each dlc char. I would also like a free dlc patch, but they aren't charity, they need to make a revenue for their work (plus putting those patches cost money) and sadly the way that they did it didn't work (without counting that many idiots felt robbed for them releasing BBCSEX when they got BBCSII for free)
  9. Every time that i see an idiot post shit like this i want to be able to go trough my pc to theirs just to slap the stupidity out of them, seriously. They made BBCSEX specifically because if they release the new chars as DLC the major part of you fuckers whine because they are charging for dlc characters, so you start saying stuff like you will wait for the next revision that would have all of them. If they release a new revision with all the dlc characters, you fuckers start complaining about why they should have released it as a DLC patch and a DLC character. Is a lose lose situation. It needs to be truly stupid to not understand of why as a bussinnes perspective not releasing BBCSEX as a retail game would have been a suicide.
  10. Yes it is i recognize very well the melody
  11. New character
  12. What the people need to understand is that just because is a comeback mechanic, it doesn't necessarily means that is automatically bad, also many people likes to forget that many of their beloved old games made on the good old days also happen to have comeback mechanics in them. Just because one company or one game has a bad implementation, it doesn't make it a bad idea. Another thing, i recommend to anyone to have their own opinion, is not a bad thing to see what other people think, but in the end try to have one of your own, and not just follow what other thinks., plus, just because someone that has some notoriety on his/her side says something, it not necessarily means that he is right. More importantly, try to inform yourself the more you know, the better chances for you to make an educated opinion.
  13. Suddenly the though of the Tager mirror becoming more silly makes me man moist >:3
  14. Comeback mechanics don't need to be like the X-Factor, you have stuff like the Guts System on GG for example, or the Heat gauge gain on BB, those are also comeback mechanics, then you have other stuff that can be used as comeback mechanics aswell, like the burst (including gold burst) on GG, the red heatl regen on mvc2, umvc3 & SG, the super bar gain while comboed on SG, etc, etc Comeback mechanics aren't new, and as has been shown on previous games, they can fulfill more than a single goal on the game
  15. I know that there have been cases where some characters got the axe very hard than others (specially true for top tiers), but as you see, with every iteration, the nerfs seem to be less severe, plus the balance on the games have been getting better with each revision, so i have faith in them. Not every character needs to do long combos or big damage on them to be viable, that is also part of the balance on the variety of the characters, Hakumen can do a good chunk of damage on single hits (and lets be honest, if he did something along the lines of a Tager buster it would be silly) he also gains his resources passively contrary to the rest of the cast, his normals have good range, and give him good options for a keep away game, his resources give him options to capitalize stray hits by making hit confirms, or shift the strategy and simply going in, and changing the momentum, his drive while risky is still a good answer for different situations that depending on the counter gives him different types of rewards. It is only natural imo that they want to tone down some aspects of his current game, and keeping others while staying true to the idea behind of the design of the character. BTW, as i said previously i, in any way, consider myself as an expert on Hakumen, or BB in general, i just pointing my impressions based on what i have seen so far and in a general way, mostly on a design perspective and on the balance of risk reward ratio, so if say some fallacies on my post, my bad, i don't mind to be corrected, on the contrary i would appreciate it I still feel that they are not as bad as other companies, yes they can fuck up sometimes, but at least have a better idea of what they are trying to do, imo. Pretty much what i think is what they are trying to do, also, keep in mind that there is the OD, and there are some changes that they are planning to do to it, so there are still stuff that we don't know that can potentially change our perception on how the characters are being handled.
  16. It is natural to have concerns specially when the changes seem to be very drastic, but it was the 1st local test, they usually do this kind of extreme changes to test different ideas. BTW i don't' know enough about of Hakumen to throw a valid opinion, but for what i have seen they are trying to balance him by allowing him to keep his great normals, and damage on single hits, while reducing his combo abilities and adding a risk on his counters, i am not going to say if it's a good change or not (only time will tell), and i don't know if all those changes would stay in the final release. Balancing characters is not easy, specially because adding stuff while it can improve the viability of a character it can change the general idea of its design, right now Hakumen is a strong character (Nothing wrong with that), and for the current changes i feel that they are trying to tone him down in the line of the original design a slow defensive type character that relies on his resources to make damaging combos, but that can do good damage using his normals. Like i said, if is good or not, only time will tell, plus the changes wouldn't necessarily please a lot of the players, some players probably like more the new Hakumen compared to the previous one, while others would like to have him returning to his previous gameplan. The other thing is that they are also trying to balance him (and the rest of the cast) by taking the OD in consideration, they are trying to make all the characters viable with their current tools and at the same time they are trying to make the OD a valid option to take in the strategy, but at the same time keeping it balanced and not making a mandatory thing to do. One more thing, it is obvious that there would be things that would need to be changed, pus i am already expecting a revision some time later for new characters and balance changes.
  17. And that is the thing, right now they are trying to balance the problems with the characters while keeping them unique on what they are supposed to do, they still have their weakness and the strong points, but at the same time they are giving them options to help their gameplan and strategy. Tager is still a low mobile grappler, Hakumen is still a slow powerhouse with good defensive capabilities and Ara is still ara. The lack of tools is not a good way to achieve uniqueness, imo, but a clear proportion on weakness and strong points is, all while trying to keep those 2 balanced considering the gameplan and strategy that the character is designed for.
  18. Something that i want to know, what happens when both characters activate their overdrives Isuna, i really appreciate what you have done for us recording the local test, i really do, but i find your opinions about BB losing its uniqueness on the cast truly hilarious to say the least, specially because you complain about stuff that doesn't affect how unique every character is compared to the rest. Like really, do you really believe that Tager not having enough air options was a a good thing? just because he lacked that and made it different from the rest of the cast that didn't mean that it was a good thing, he already has enough weakness because of his archetype not to mention on what kind of game he is, but he also has other weakness due how many options have the rest of the cast compared to him where to add more trouble he is relegated to depend on his gimmick, something that until CSEX was what have keep him on the lowest tier. Giving him air options is something that is needed in order to be able to have an answer to the other characters with great mobility, something that has been one of his problems against characters like tao, val and haz for example, he still has his other attributes like low mobility, huge hitbox, etc. Another thing, if they really want to improve Arakune's curseless game while reducing the stupidity of his curse mode that is an improvement imo, the only reason why Ara has not been considered low is because his curse mode is stupidly good, that has made him practically an one dimensional character when it comes to gameplay, and that is something that is not really good in the long term, improving his options when he is outside the curse mode, and trying to balance the curse mode while not making it useless is a good thing in my book. As for Hakumen, i can't really talk much about it, outside that right now Haku has great normals, great passive game (due his metter gain) and a good options due his drive, right now the character has a lot of good stuff going for him, so it seems to me that they are trying to balance him in a way that he can still keep his good tools but giving him a weakness (one that in theory was the inherent one in his design). Those 3 characters are still unique, because their tools and their gameplan is not the same as the other members of the cast, they still have their own goals (gameplay wise) on the game and their own ways to accomplish them, the difference is that they are trying to even the field addressing the rough points on their design/gameplan. Edit Another thing, i like the idea of the OD since instead of just tacking a x factor with common attributes across the cast, they are trying to add something that can help the gameplan and strategy of each character based on what they already have you need to see them not only as a buff mode, but as also that adds to each strategy, not only that, you also need to weight how to use your resources, do you want to burst or do you want to use the OD. The same goes for the CT, not every character was able to capitalize damaging the primers (not something bad imo, but it is comprehensible that they want to even the field) so even when they all are given a similar option there is a strategy factor to be considered based on your resources, it use meter, something that is very valuable because it grants the character access to other options aswell, like better reversals, better damage options, etc, and different characters have different stuff that they want to do with say meter, so the decisions made around if you want to CT on your blockstring or not still has a different impact based on what each character wants to do. Sorry for the wall of text btw, i have the bad habit on going on lengthy posts when trying to explain my POVs.
  19. The GRD Vorpal can be seen as a comeback mechanic too, since you can be losing but can get access to it, the difference is that it is not 100% free, and you have to at least once do something to get it. The Veil off can be used as one as well. Imo they are pretty much comeback mechanics (not that there are something wrong with that, done right they add more depth to the games).
