  5. Wait..... what? When was Houtenjin a good starter? It's like a 5A or chain a small starter with not so great proration.
  6. The Hazama stocks change is nice but it is only a band aid fix. Here is how hazama's changes should be. -Air backdash moves hazama back further. -Hazama's grounded chains recovery in 24 frames (instead of 26-29) -Hazama's 2D recovers in 22 frames (instead of 24) -Hazama's air chains recovery in 30 frames (instead of 40) -Hazama's backdash has 23 frames of recovery (instead of 25 bring it a tad more in line with other characters that move the same distance.) -Venom sword has 19 frames recovery -venom sword hitbox improved to where it is visually. - Venom sword 2 less frames of hitstun. -venom sword can be canceled into a chain on counter hit. -5C has 20 frames of recovery (instead of 28) -2C now has 30 frames of recovery (instead of 39) -Rising fang pushes further away on block. -Rising fang 2 less frames of recovery on block (instead of 22 and 18.) -Mizuchi now in OD keeps the OD ring through out the duration of the super. -5B jump cancel able on hit. -Hazama's OD now lasts longer at all levels besides the final one. -Hazama has stance now gets a blue tint at level 2 like in extend. -Hazama has increased hitstun untechable time the second last hit of his OD terumi stomp. (he can now rapid taunt again) This would just make hazama more well rounded.
  7. Waldstein is kicking my ass lol. He'a probably like Tager a noob killer where he punishes things really hard until you learn the match up. Also links are not working for me lol.
  8. It's always been better. Harder to follow up though so most people prefer Rising fang for safety. Also j.5C nerfs hit it decently hard since you can't do extra damaging moves like 6C or 6A.
  9. Probably the most optimal 5a corner combo is. 5A-5C-3C-214D-B-d.5A-5C-6C-d.5C-2C-j.5C(x2)-j.5C(x5)-214B. Damage:2900 Heat gain: 20
  10. They forgot to add the biggest nerf to Hazama that now makes him unviable as a choice for BBCP. They lowered the untechable time on his second last hit of the overdrive Terumi stomp so you can no longer rapid on it taunt, dance around then 6B to win :d

This combo is efficent to your heat gauge up to when you hit 93 heat after that you lose up to a total of 7 heat if they live. 5C-3C-houtenjin-j.Zaneiga-6A-d.5C-6C-d.5C-2C-4D-j.8D-Jakou-mizuchi Damage:6861 heat gain:34 (-66) Minimum heat:66 Notes: pretty much the same as the one above. OD:50%health 5C-3C-OD-d.5C-6D-GB-d.5C-6C-d.5C-5D-J.Gashou-5C-2C-4D-jakou-mizuchi Damage:6687 minium heat:43 Heat gain:32 (-43) Notes: I know for 100% fact that this isn't the most optimal combo considering I got 6811 damage while I was auto-piloting staring at the heat gauge while I did the combo for the minimum heat. All I know is it didn't use houtenjin, it gave about 35 heat ( because I ended up gaining more heat than what I normally should have got since it was at the lowest amount of heat I could use to get the combo) ended in mizuchi and used 50% OD. Corner Combo. 5C-3C-Houtenjin-J.Zaneiga-(cross under)5C-6C-Jakou-5C-2C-6DA-d.2DD-j214B Damage:6022 Minimum heat:43 Heatgain:35(-15) 5B-5C-3C-Houtenjin-J.Zaneiga-(cross under) 5C-6C-Jakou-5C-2C-2D-214B (5B-5C-3C-Houtenjin-J.Zaneiga-(Crossunder) 5C-6C--Jakou-5C-2C-214B (slightly less damage but slightly better oki)) Damage:5626 ( minimum heat:41 Heatgain: 33(-17) With both of these above combo's you can end with Gashou for just a tad more damage. This of course gives far far less oki. J.Rassenga-d.5C-3C-236D-(crossunder)5C-6C--5C-4D-Jakou-2B Damage:3199 Heat gain:23 Notes: Amazing for reset. Stay still throw after they tech you got em, 5C,5B as a reset also very very effective. When the throw comes out they will hit the ground and be trapped and for the 5C,5B they will be in the air and would have to barrier guard on tech to not be hit out of it into a reset. ((They are in the corner)Bad against Dp's that can be used in the air like infernal divider or Terumi's Houtenjin) In corner (Still under optimizationfor 1.1) 5C-2C-3C-d.Gashou-5A-5C-Jakou-5C-6C-d.5C-2C-j5C(x5)-214B Damage:4321 Heat gain:31 5A-5C-3C-d.Gashou-5A-5C-Jakou-5C-2C-2D-4D-j.214B Damage:2929 heat gain: 22 notes: one of the more higher damge options not the greatest oki, 5A-5C-3C-d.Gashou-5A-5C-2C-4D-Jakou-5C-2C-tk.214B Damage:2895 Heat gain:22 Notes: Much better oki 5A-5C-3C-d.Gashou-5A-5C-2C-4DA-j.8DA-Jakou-3C-Rassenga. Damage:2865 Heat gain:22 Notes: Better throw/command grab oki. While in the corner and confirming a 5A hit can lead to a lot of different variations that will give different benifits or set ups for example you can just go into 6C after Jakou or 3C venom sword if you chose.
  12. Dreizehn anytime you are going from 5C-2C- jakou- mizuchi you can probably go 5C-2C-4D-jakou-mizuchi just to add a tad more damage. On the 100 heat 5D combo though you can do 5D-j2C-5C-Houtenjin-J.Zaneiga-6C-5C-2C-4D-jakou as an example nets you 5175 instead of 4988 damage.
  13. All I'm doing is a small 6 movement after the 6C before the 4D chain and then you put them in the corner. Also I found out that when you are doing 5C-2C-j214B in combo's you can do 5C-2C-2DD-j214B in combo's it adds damage. For instance that 5.7K jiyaku do 5.9K instead. (slightly worse oki than if you just went 5C-2C into j214B so the trade off is your choice you'll still be able to hit them if they try and roll under you.) Doing a micro dash after the 6C makes you have to wait a second before you make the rest of the connections otherwise you will hit with the short chain making them tech out.

  15. Off of 5C you forgot to add a 4D to make it do 5774 damage and it gives 33 heat. To be honest I haven't played much since the patch I can't do his mid-screen combo's yet but using overdrive you can get 5.5K 5C-3C-OD-d.5C-6D-GB-5C-5D-j.Gasshou-5C-2C-4D-j.8D-j5C(x7) That gives 5.5K, 6460 damage if you use mizuki. It will be awhile before I actually put up optimal combo's got to get used to the new jC timing's and trying other routes positions and theories.
  16. A lot of here insane pressure, godly resets/cross ups and shit comes from here trap. They should just remove the trap from her arsenal and she should be much fairer, a teleport nerf would be enjoyable though. Also her fireball super is kinda of dumb that it doesn't disappear on hit as well as it making it hard as hell to see here pink grabbing you or going for an overhead, this is more a of a personal opinion though. Hazama has 27 frames of recovery for his chains on the ground if they get fully extended while on the ground and 40 while in the air. Considering the games new speed that is ample time to go and punish him since he can't retract it or move when it's at zero.
  17. While checking my combo book I see that the 5B starter in the corner should be 4024 damage not 4010 and gives 28 heat. You probably missed a hit somewhere 5C not hitting twice or missing a j5C. Also for the 5A combo I checked and you should be able to get 2950 in the corner aswell with 22 heat. Both should be in the thread though your optimal corner combo might be under 5C before my optimal 5C corner combo. Though for a 5B, 3C, 2C (non-counterhit) the optimal combo probably is X-5C-3C- 236D d.5C 6C ect. For 2B, 5C,any sort of jump in (j2C j5C j5B) Comand grab their is a more optimal path of swapping sides to complete the combo. (they still end up in the corner because of 623D)
  18. Hey guys it feels like there is a music dlc missing because I don't have gluttony fang endless despair and nightmare fiction (among others) is there going to be a new music dlc added later? Also will the Extra music have a random option?
  19. 5B-5C-3C-236D-d.3C-214D-C-d.5B(sideswap)-5C-j5C(X5)-d.5C-2C-4D-j8D-6323D-d.3C-Mizuki Damage: 4633 Heat gain: 25 net gain: -25 minimum heat: 25 Notes: From what I have found if you have 25-40 heat this is the most damage using 50 heat since you would not be able to use Jayoku, I would recommend it to win the battle if you start the combo with that amount of heat. Unfortunately this already NEAT combo is also character specific to Jin and Izayoi so have fun! (Might work against Kokonoe's increased hitbox after the patch.)
  20. Supernaut26 it really seems like Izayoi would be your character since she shares a lot of different mechanics present with Johnny and Robo ky. Don't worry about her current tier since she is getting massive buffs. Other mentions are Jin kisaragi, litch, Terumi and you could do Hazama since he shares some similarities with Johnny but I don't think he would fit your play style.
  21. The last combo's for today will be overdrive combos, like serpents infernal rapture combo's I don't think I have the most optimal of these combo's but they do well just the same. In corner 5A-5C-3C-OD-d.5D-d.6D-4D-j8D-6323D-3C-mizuki Damage: Max of 5067-4593 Heat gain: 42-32 Minimum heat: 8-12-15-16-18 OD level: works from Zero max damage at 50% Notes: this combo is very volatile safest and highest heat gain and damage is done at 50% life left when using overdrive. Also depending on the spacing of the chain use the damage and heat gain can fluctuate so use of this combo even though it's 5k of a 5A starter caution is advised. This combo can side swap so as long as you're not directly inside the corner or they are you can do it. Midscreen 5A-5C-OD-5C-6D-214D-C-6C-d.5C-2C-4D-D-j5B-j5C(x2)-j5C(x5)-j214B Damage: 3317 Heat gain:26 Notes: Can be done at any level of overdrive is the optimal combo if the 5A is hit while overdrive was already activated and is easy to do for good damage. 5A-5C-3C-OD-d.5D-d.6D-2D-4D-j8D-D-j5C(x1)-j5C(x5)-j214B Damage:3392 Heat gain: 35 Notes: can be done at any heat level, higher damage and heat gain a little harder to do and can only be done if the overdrive activates after the 3C with out the use of a rapid.
  22. This are just minor option while using guard break after 214D-C and can only be done on counter hit level 2. While in the corner 214D-C-GB-d.5C-2C-6323D-d.5C-6C-d.5C-2C-4D-A-d.2D-j5B-j5C(x5)-j5C(x2)-j214B Damage:6320 heat gain: 32 (net of +7) minimum heat: 17 214D-C-GB-d.5C-6C-d.5C-2C-j5C(x5)-5C-j5C(x5)-5C-2C-4D-j5C(x1)-j5C(x5)-j214B Damage: 5749 Heat gain: 23 (net of -2) minimum heat: 17 Notes: You can leave out a 5C on the second rep if you so choose for a bit under 5.7k or you can add a 2C and do the 5 j5C's for 5763 damage and one less heat gain then the one I chose to fully write out the one heat comes off of the fact you can not do 4D in that combo instead just do the 7 j5C's.

If you don't like leaving your opponent outside the corner and care less about the damage you can do, 214D-A-5C-3C-236D-d.5C (do not side swap)-6C-d.5C-2C-4D-A-d.2D-D-j5C(x1)-j5C(x5)- j214B Damage: 3371 Heat gain: 26 Note: I don't think this combo is the best it can be so please try and improve it and post your result. j5B-d.5C-3C-236D-d.5C-3C-5C-2C-4D-214D-d.B-6323D-5C-2C-j5C(x5)-j214B Damage:3609 heat gain: 26
  24. Alright time to post the majority of my combos some might not be optimal but they're all pretty good in my book, I only believe some metered combos and OD combos could use more optimization. First of all since the upcoming patch is pretty big slight against his combos I quickly say I have perfected the use of 5 j5C's in all situations just to make the combo's tighter and less likely to tech out because of the reduced untechable time. Though some of you might already know I will say that it is best if you do 3 j5C's wait far shorter than you would compared to the 2 and 2 j5C's before finishing off on the last 2 into standing 5C and as far as I can tell so far it adds around 40 damage, also useable in the majority of the bnb's I don't know if it fails in some. Alright on to the combos.

With 8 heat starter and in the corner or with side swap you can get an easy 5k (50% od) or 11 and 15 (at 80% life and 100%) you can get around 4.8K if a 5A starter. currently I'm trying to find optimal combo's off of poor starters to win the round starting at max life and no heat. Im still in the process of doing optimal combo's mid screen and corner utilizing side swap when I can but unlike the combo's i posted before I'm not completely happy with these ones yet don't think they're as good as can be so Im not ready to share my findings. I usually have a burst in the final round but can't get a good starter for high damage so i'm trying this out to improve my own game too. So far it's looking pretty good but im missing a lot of tricks to his overdrive so progress still needs to be made. So far progress made Mizuki much better heat sink with small starters. (Kiding about of progress made though.) Also Putin I forgot to add in my 2C combo that the timing is a little tricky on hakumen since he fets really low to the ground though you can save it with a 5B if necessary. thanks for catching my mistake i should update it. I mainly do the j5C(x4) myself. It still ends up being the most optimal BnB though right? Or is there a better one.
