  1. Anyone feel like playing, I'm thinking about starting a room.
  2. Not that I know of... GET YOUR CRAP TOGETHER ARCSYS!
  3. I agree, Millia doesn't simply rush the opponent. From the video's I watched, Millia tends to fair better by coming from the air with Silent Force or one of her air normals, her ground normals are also great for punishing moves that whiff or have a long start up. Millia just needs to be careful with how she gets around the opponents own gimmicks, such as Dizzy's summons, Testament's Traps, Ky's Projectiles, etc. Oh, another question. Is anyone going to post a discussion thread for Millia in +R? Along with a combo thread to go with it that contains up to date combos for +R?
  4. For you requirements. Yukiko could be a great choice considering her Zoning style is fairly keep away based like that of Nu, and she focuses on hurling fans from a distance, while working in tandem with her Persona more then most characters. Yukiko has strong Oki, but her health is fairly low, and she's reliant on instant blocking. Finally, a Persona Break is much more devastating for her since she's dependent on it for Oki and all of her specials. If your willing to sacrifice Oki for a strong rushdown game, you might wanna go with Naoto Shirogane. Naoto zones somewhat like Rachel. Naoto uses her Persona's speed, gun shots, and mine like traps to make it hard for the opponent get in, and once there hit, Naoto can go in for a great rushdown game. Naoto has the highest damage output potential in game thanks to her SMP loop, but her weaknesses include having the 2nd lowest health in the game (Only being beat by Elizabeth), slightly subpar pokes when compared to the rest of the cast, and she's reliant on meter for damage and defensive options Yu and Chie use a lot of Oki, but they don't excel at zoning, (Chie's actually a strong rushdown character whose like beefed up version of Makoto in P4A) Aigis could also fit to, considering in her normal mode, she mostly focuses zoning with a set amount of bullets, but she can go into whats called Orgia mode to go in for a devastating rushdown game. The downsides to Aigis though are her lack of Oki options, a lack of versatility with her Persona, and she has to play keep away when not in Orgia Mode/when Orgia mode's cooling down. Finally, because of her set amount of bullet's Aigis has to be very careful with her Zoning, and not waste a single bullet. Hopefully that helps!
  5. I guess everyone's right! CP's sort of Makoto rebirthed! I'm going to try and have fun with my favorite squirrel girl, and I'm not going to give a damn about the buffs other characters received, because it'll be even more rewarding to stick to your guns and knock out a top tier character with our underdog squirrel.
  6. I'm bored... Anyone wanna play?
  7. So in other words, if you chose to use Makoto, your throwing away almost every sense of the word "Gimmick" mostly relying on your natural movement and normals to get around and start combos. Thanks a lot ArcSys! We hit a wall in Extend, and you don't much to actually fix some of the handicaps we were given! Oh well... I guess we can only play with the cards we were dealt so far, so lets make the best of em.
  8. Makoto still has a few pros this time arounds that make her a lot more viable though. Including some decent defensive options (Characters like Nu and Valkenhayn were hit by a bus with the new defensive and burst mechanics), one of the better damage outputs (Her damage output didn't get as nearly nerfed as some of the other characters) and her corner Okizeme in her corner Bnb's (Because her 5D has more untechable frames durring ground slide). I guess what really cripples her is her specials tend to only get used in combos, she's very dependent on a strong fundamental skill for her neutral game, and her pokes short range and lack of priority when compared to characters like Haku-Men and Ragna.
  9. This reassures me greatly! Thank you for posting this!
  10. I think since it's a major update, they'll probably release smaller updates to fix major bugs as they pop up. This may include anything involving net play, glitches, etc.
  11. Great for Goro! It's time people know Makoto is a dire threat in the right hands!
  12. Considering that it's a download patch over the internet, it was just released in japan, and they don't use English VA's, the patch should come within the next few days. I'll be surprised if it takes longer then a week.
  13. Yeah, I noticed they'd beat pokes from a character like Dizzy.
  14. Looks like they didn't break Millia at all, so that's good. I'm excited to start using her new Force Breaks in +R!
  15. Okay, so what I understand is. Millia isn't really a difficult character to execute or anything, she just requires some match experience to deal with other characters toys, along with how to properly air combo them. Finally, the main challenge is to hit the foe and knock them down, using Millia's slightly sub par pokes without getting hit yourself. But this is usually made up by her ground to air game, along with her Silent Force special to break in. Finally, the next challenge is to keep up the momentum by building off of every knock down with strong Oki through Tandem Top and Secret Garden, and either mix the foe up, or rush em, depending if they block it or not. Sound right?
  16. The fact that Rachel's IOH hits everyone is a very strong buff to her already extremely great Mix Ups. Rachel's looking really good, and it's getting me even more motivated to try and learn her before CP comes out. (Although, I'm being a party pooper and waiting for the US release...)
  17. It's possible they haven't wired out all the kinks yet, or the data's becoming corrupted from so many people downloading the patch all at once.
  18. So it would be like a system update for Accent Core Plus?
  19. DAMN IT! I CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG!!!!
  20. Since the Patch is available on JP PSN, wouldn't it follow that the American release will be available soon as well?
  21. I'm trying to learn Millia, and I'm just curious. How high is Millia's learning curve when compared to other characters. Finally, what are the hardest aspects of Millia to learn as well.
  22. I wouldn't mind if they made Valentine playable, she's so adorable in a sinister kinda way.
  23. I think the characters most likely to not to come back are Order Sol, Robo Ky, Justice, and Kliff. I can see ABA in that list, but I'm not completely sure given how her gameplay offers a lot of variety in the player roster. Their also probably to keep the game's prominent zoners. (Axl, Dizzy, Testament, and Venom of course) because Guilty Gear doesn't offer a huge variety of Zoners then the one's listed above. (Their are characters with Zoning options, but they can't zone to the same degree as the above listed can.) I guess the best predictions are based on what they bring to the roster through their play style, and how involved they are in the main plot.
  24. Anyone feel like playing right now?
