  1. I just feel sorry for Ragna... He just has a bad rep. Even Makoto started to get a little apprehensive after she found out from Tao that he was Ikaruga and searching for Noel.
  2. Poor Tsubaki... Just a mere tool of the NOL... And by the time she actually gets a will of her own, she decides not to take revenge on the people who tried to get her kill her two best friends and love of her life, along with just using her for the Izayoi, she wants to go after Ragna... I kinda hope that Rachel and Ragna curb stomp Izayoi/Tsubaki like a Mofo!
  3. I was also doing some research on some of the Characters Arcade story modes. According to Rachel durring her fight with Izayoi, Rachel stated that Saya wanted to use Tsubaki and the Izayoi as a trump card in order to keep her and Kokonoe from intervening and interfering with her plans. It was loosely translated, but I think it stated something that Rachel was glad that Tsubaki was free from the Imperator's control. Tsubaki then stated that she was to follow the same path as Haku-Men, and attempt to kill Ragna. Rachel then asks Tsubaki one final request, if she is to kill Ragna, then she wants Tsubaki to kill her using the Izayoi. Implying that the Izayoi is capable of killing observers as well. This was loosely translated, and I found on Tumbler, so I'm not sure if this is 100% accurite.
  4. I'm actually thinking about getting into P4A, But I'm not sure who I would main. Looking at the Dustloop Wiki section for P4A, the best looking characters to me are Chie, Naoto, and Yukiko, but maybe it could help me narrow it down slightly if I heard what some of the hard core players of Persona thought of these characaters.
  5. I can agree with this, I'm still a flunkie, but it doesn't mean I don't understand terms like Rushdown, Zoning, Okizeme, Tk'ing, etc. I also know the general playstyles of each character, and what their general overall weakpoints are. Basically what I'm saying is, just because someone lacks skill or experience in actual combat, doesn't mean that they are unable to even discuss principles like the one's I listed above, or even the general strategy of characters, or other advanced strategies. It's actually easier to learn about them in theory then to execute them. So as long as People know what their talking about, your not a complete Novice. It means you managed to make a small step to being a decent player.
  6. I'm personally rooting for Goro and N-Otoku! MAKOTO AND RACHEL ALL THE WAY!
  7. Maybe for a topic, it could the personalities of the characters and how it relates to there involvement in the story, and how it affects there general gameplay and tactics!
  8. Welcome Muerto! May Rachel's wind be at you're back, and her frog electrocuting your foes!
  9. Of course! I understand!
  10. OH MY GOD! THIS IS FUCKING HILARIOUS! I'M PRACTICALLY ROLLING OVER LAUGHING! You've not only managed to nail the personalities of each character and what they'd do in that given situation, you've managed to combine BlazBlue and Hell's Kitchen beautifully! My only complaint that's absolutely tiny and petty, and you can completely ignore is the lack of Makoto! Either way! I LOVE IT!
  11. GG's to StarDemon and everyone in his room!
  12. Said I was gonna get curb stomped! I need to practice more, but hey, everyone starts out as a flunkie at some point!
  13. I'll join! (Despite the fact that I'll probably be curb stomped to death and beyond!)
  14. Catching up on some of the episodes! Their great! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! Seeing how laid back this is! It makes me want to appear as a guest! Anyway, Great job!
  15. I don't give much thought to tiers... Tiers mostly measure whose being used most often, and how many people have won with them. And let's face it, with a learning curve like Makoto's to be used properly, Makoto isn't being used very much in official matches outside of Goro. However, Every character, no matter what tier, can pose a threat in the right hands and mindset! There are pros and cons to every character! This means that Makoto will have some drawbacks like the one's mentioned above! Let's face it guys, we didn't exactly win the CP Jackpot in terms of buffs, but we can't just sit here and mope about it! Makoto's still and awesome character with a unique rushdown game! Goro is doing just fine with Makoto this time around, and with a lot practice and Experience! I can't see any reason why we can't someday reach our true potential with our Squirrel Goddess! Even Goro had to take some time and practice to become good with Makoto! Doesn't the fact that we take a character that looks sub-par and make her a deadly threat make us that much stronger to? All I'm saying is lets cut the whining and negativity, and do our best! EGGS HAVE ALREADY BEEN CRACKED! SO LETS MAKE THE BEST OMLET WE CAN ANYWAY!
  16. The only main use of 2A is to interrupt attacks durring pressure, and to rush in.
  17. Doesn't matter, your giving your time and effort to Makoto Players, and asking for nothing in return! On the behalf of the Acorn Goddess, Makoto, I thank you!
  18. Yeah, Rachel's only other defensive option to escape pressure other posting is 2C, and that's even crappier then it was in CSE now. I wish they'd strengthen it up to be DP quality.
  19. So other then the Baden-Baden Lily finish, Rachel's better off saving that Icon for bursting. Makes sense.
  20. Out of curiosity, How useful is Rachel's OD? Does it create a bunch of combo potential? Or is it kinda useless?
  21. Oh, I get it now. You do a normal special like 236K, and depending on the card, you can follow up with either 214K or 623K upon hit. And yeah, I'm interested in Jam. I main Makoto in BB, and I usually use Dizzy in GG. But I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to choose a character who could handle pressure a little better then Dizzy (Like when I'm going up against someone like Sol or Slayer), and Since Jam plays fairly similar to Makoto, I thought I'd give her a try.
  22. This is kinda stupid question, but how exactly do you use the cards Jam uses to power up her kicks after you charge?
  23. I'm a flunkie to, but based on experience. Dizzy can offer a strong zoning game with great Okizeme once you score a knockdown, and can go into an effective rushdown game once the conditions are right! But you're going to need to block effectively since her only reversal is a super that only works on grounded opponents. Jam works really well in rushdown, being really fast and having some decently strong normals and some useful specials (She kinda plays like Makoto Nanaya in BlazBlue) However, her weaknesses are her short range normals and slightly below average defense. Jam has a hard time against Zoners like Testament because of her short range, but it's somewhat offset by the fact that with effective use of her flawless defense and rushing, she can do a lot of damage. Jam also has quite a few defensive options including a reversal, and the only Parry in the game, so she's a strong character to use. Then theirs ABA. Aba is small girl who many people have trouble comboing because of her tiny hitbox and awkward weight. She also has the second highest health in GG. Starting out, she's slow and passive, mostly weighting for the foe to come to her and attack. ABA has accesses to a command throw and bloodpack special that transforms her. In her second mode, she gains the ability to do a run-style dash, her normals become longer reaching and do more damage, and her specials change up. There are draw backs to this second mode's great rushdown potential though. First, she has a bar by her health that gives her a certain amount of time to play in this mode, it goes down by a third every time she's knocked down, and if this bar runs out, she'll stop all pressure and become completely open. (This can be avoided by transforming back to Normal Mode). Second, Every hit, Blocked or not, will damage ABA slightly, but if use a bloodpack or her command grab before time runs out, you'll get some of that life back! Third, If ABA get's knocked down three times, she can be instant killed!) If not for the healthloss and lack luster performance in normal mode though, ABA would probably be overpowered! But hey, every rose has it's thorns!
  24. Makoto just likes nuts (That's what she said!) Doesn't Makoto also have a new special called Lander Blow?
  25. I think Cosmic Ray is Makoto's version of Hell's Fang durring an Astroid Vission follow up.
