  1. This page was made I think before the game's announcement. If so, it's probably simply concerning the anniversary in general, rather than DFC particularly.
  2. I can report this as well. I think it was the same error page that Ama posted. It only occured once, and the page was available after a repeat attempt, so I decided not to report. If other users are viewing this, however, I'll add that I have as well.
  3. Nope. I'll admit most of my impressions are vicarious and remain so until I acquire a PS3 (LESS THAN A WEEK LESS THAN A WEEK), but from them, I will say I have no idea what they were thinking. She's seems to still be enjoyable from the small amount I played, but nerfing her of all people While Haz Tao and Valk get ridiculous things to add to their existing ridiculous things is pretty bullshit.
  4. But they still knock down. Which is an even larger reward in Guilty than it is in most other fighting games, and concerning BB, at least oki is generally better than within SF etc. .
  5. I didn't say the mechanics are similar to Melty: Just that people who have visited the loketests have reported the game somewhat playing like it (I remember Xie describing it as seeming somewhat of a mix between Aquapazza and MB). They could change that statement later in the game's life, but that's what they're saying now. To be honest, if we're going to make a connection to Bread through the systems, we could sort of make comparisons to their various titles being influenced noticeably from differing ArcSys games (Guilty for Melty, BB for In Birth, P4A for DFC). Also, disregarding that I'm not entirely sure why the stages exempt French Bread's involvement beyond sprite work (if you mean the Valkyria stage, that would be because the game itself is published by Sega, making sense for FB to have licence for it's use), if French Bread aren't doing the development work, who are? You could say Sega, but considering that French Bread have far more experience in 2D fighting games, I doubt they didn't at least have some influence on gameplay decisions. And if it was mainly created through an unrevealed party, why haven't they been announced yet? And, furthermore, if Sega already have FB's involvement, unless they have ArcSys developing (really unlikely), why would they give the game to somebody else when French Bread, as aforementioned, are probably the most experienced people they have in the field?
  6. I don't think it was ever specified what variety of development they were doing: They were just provided the title "developer", which I would say indicates development in general, not just a specific portion. That, and apparently people were taking Melty - ish impressions from loketests, so that would be expected if they did indeed have influence in gameplay. Also, seeing as this is backed by two major companies, I would agree it wouldn't be surprising if third parties had some part in the process.
  7. Well, they involve the same developers, and they're not exactly huge, so it's probable that they would be moving staff from one game to the other. Although considering they recently released a trailer, they seem to at least still be working on Late somewhat.
  8. It isn't sarcasm. QUALITY is basically a meme denoting animation being inconsistent/hilariously strange. Is used a lot in the Anime community.
  9. Even if I didn't care for P4A 1 that much. I'm just looking at how Aigis gets away almost entirely free while other people, top or nay keep getting nerfed and I am laughing so much. It's like I'm a Haz player and it's amazing.
  10. Concerning buying a copy of CP, it is being offered as a downloadable title, so obtaining Yen cards from PlayAsia/JapanCodes is an option. It would be less costly than a physical import if you have the code emailed to you. You could also, it being a PS3 title, try splitting the price with someone you find who has interest and gamesharing the copy. As towards EU netplay, I've been trying it recently for getting a general feel for Rachel as to help when I obtain a PS3 and CP (soooooon). It's... Well, dead. There are a small amount of players who seem to appear semi - regularly, but aside from that I'd doubt you'd have much competition (also netplay sucks, but that's an entirely different topic I guess ). Also, seeing as you originate from there, I'm going to take now to advertise the EU Skype group: It's where the vast majority of the U.K. and a large portion of the other E.U. users of Dustloop are active, rather than the forums. My Skype name is the same as my forum tag, so contact me if you want to be added in. See ya around!
  11. I know ya didn't. <3~
  12. It is the most productive thing we have had since episode 2. It's beautiful.
  13. Your Ragna V. Lambda requests are satiated in this week's gallery (no Jin v. Bang GIFs unfortunately, but you do get to see the former of the two engaging in some light reading)! Also including FAME, Tager's magical hair and some of the most utterly strange faces we've seen since the new opening's Bang shots.
  14. Basically, a frame trap is a sequence of moves with a small gap in them in which nothing aside from a DP (which is obviously unsafe) can interrupt them. Therefore, if somebody is trying to, say, mash a jab to get out of pressure, a frame trap will catch them and allow you to gain damage from it, thus dissuading them from doing so.
  15. IB may have actually been what happened: Like I said, he only performed it once, so I wasn't entirely sure as to whether it was correct. I would still like somebody to test, but it's understandable if nobody wants to considering the frame data doesn't match it. Concerning using 3C to end pressure, I know it's minus, but if used at the end of a string, the result is that the opponent can be pushed too far to connect with anything, especially within the case of somebody like Azrael with short range (although maybe this is less an effective option and more just an unfavourable habit of mine). Still, looking back at it, he could just 236A toward you after wards(5 frames where you're able to act), although not having possession of the game I'm not sure if it would travel enough to reach you after the end of a string.
  16. Props to DLZ for making that Tager GIF.
  17. Alright, so I have some notes on this matchup due towards a large set of offline games played with a local Az. However, do consider my circumstances of both not having access to a stick and not having ownership of the game at the time, and therefore only having 45 minutes or so of training mode to work out some (suboptimal) BnBs: * In neutral, 5B range seems to be where to place yourself: I don't think he has anything faster than it that also reaches as long. Thankfully, you move quicker and more freely than he does, so actually getting to this range from a longer distance doesn't really look to be hard. Missiles can also be helpful despite Growler: Even if he absorbs them and thus gains the guardpoint until he recovers, he has in doing so given you a large amount of time to place yourself wherever you want, which is always helpful~ * When on the defence, best thing to do is just exercise caution: He has lots of things that are +, coupled with some efficient frame traps, meaning mashing really isn't that fine an option. considering the damage he can gain from it. However, his actual mixup isn't really that strong: Both dash cross up > 2A and his fastest standing overhead (5D) are relatively quick, but still perfectly reactable (perhaps not with crossup > 5A, but that misses on crouching) unless you're on netplay/a lagging setup, and any overhead attempt attempt is negative on block and uncancellable without meter, meaning that you can safely try to escape afterwards (jumping back and out seems to work a lot, considering his anti air seems rather ineffective). Of course, there is still a chance that you'll get caught out, so it's not as if it's nothing to be scared of, but if you're confident in your blocking, it seems helpful to stay put. * Missile/bomb oki is basically a no because of growler (unless you can time them as to make them hit before the absorption activates), but bubble oki can still work: Partly because it seems more likely to hit him before the guardpoint activates and therefore allowing you to punish, but also that, although I'm not entirely sure if this is a gimmick or legitimate tactic, you can switch between A bubble and B bubble to bait it: With A bubble, it can simply float diagonally above him without touching his hitbox, gaining you a free combo, while B bubble obviously initiates the oki. * Unfortunate news: I think he can react to 3C on block with BHS and punish. The Az only discovered this late into the set, and I don't think was presented with the opportunity to do so again, so I'm not entirely sure if 3C is reactable enough, but 3C's startup + blockstun seems to be long enough for him to do so. I'm not going to give a verdict on who is advantageous in this matchup, not only because it was only one day's playing, but because of the aforementioned conditions: It seems like slightly favourable for him, if only because he generally does excessive damage when he gets a hit compared to you, but it could easily be something different.
  18. It's fine if you had things to do, just making the offer to do them myself if you did.
  19. So, we're one week into release and we still don't have matchup threads for almost everybody. Honestly, wouldn't it be fine if I just make them? I can format them well enough myself, and I already have some notes on the Az matchup. I really don't see the problem with me just making the threads myself.
  20. Even if what you said was the case, my referral towards things that "actually happened" indicated things that were actually shown within the episode. Whether it's explainable or not, the point still remains that there is no account, or even hint of how he regained his weapon, and with such a lack of indication of what you said being correct, the entire incident can even more likely be seen as a mistake on the writer's part.
  21. Are you saying that's what actually happened, or was that a joke. Because I'm pretty sure that's not what actually happened .
  22. Presenting this week's gallery. Special attention goes to Litchi's distressingly interested face, EYES, CG furniture, inconsistent statue designs, inconsistent food appearances, inconsistent road lines, spaghetti whirlpools, decapitating whirlpools, Tao's magical bikini top shading effects gone wrong, TWILIGHT CROSSEYED, and members of the cast pretending to be Superman. Also can somebody make a GIF of Tager sliding motionlessly throughout the air, that was amazing.
  23. I'm not sure about Persia XX 5C, but concerning 3C to Persia, from the small amount I played it did seem available only when very close to the opponent. I haven't had much opportunity to experiment though, so I could be wrong.
  24. Things I'd like to know: Faust item additions (or maybe subtractions), and the existence J.2K if that didn't exist post - Reload, although I'm almost sure you'd test every inch of him. As Amadeous mentioned, backdash cancels. The effects (or maybe lack of such) of BS on projectiles.
