  1. Fuck thank you why am I applying Gurren Lagaan names to Accel World Characters. They don't even sound similar aaargh.
  2. Not quite able to make the Accel assist out, can anybody see who it is? I think it's Simon, not entirely sure.
  3. So I updated the fisrt post: This game actually looks like it could be really fun while also being a well made fighting game. If I do happen to still have that opinion at console release, I would be absolutely willing to put some time into it promoting and gathering information for it. Of course I doubt it's ever really going to get a large scene in the west, and especially not in the U.K., but if it's enjoyable enough I will try to allow it some life.
  4. So apparently N - otoko was playing Plat on stream today. He doesn't know combos (looking at the video, he was probably improvising them mid match), but his fundamentals are strong, so he plays fairly well anyway (although he still loses ;_; ).
  5. Until we somebody with actual Japanese knowledge notices, heres what I can see from google translate: 3 buttons (A, B, C) for moves, with one (S) for support actions. A + B or any special that has A + B as it's button input is something called an "Impact Skill", which is a special with guardpoint that can be used as a reversal. The icons seen above the meter are called "Blitz Icons", and have a maximum stock of two, with both available at the match's starts and being restored by one every round. They can be used via either B + C, a "Blitz Attack" (basically a reversal super), or A + B + C, "Blitz Mode" (It's rather unclear on this, says something about combos so maybe it's like HD mode or something of that variety). There is a feature called "Potential" where Character's have certain skills that become available when a requirement is satisfied, may be a comeback mechanic (;_; ) . The assist cancels and their meter cost seen in the stream clip were included. Meter has five maximum stocks, EX special moves cost one, supers cost two, and pushblock detracts from it. There is an auto combo like P4A, although apparently it doesn't use unique attacks as the second and third sections, just B move > C move. There was no mention of airdashes in the movement options: They weren't seen in the stream footage either. Only the Characters currently revealed are intended to be playable in tomorrow's event. While the article doesn't appear to tell you this, it's almost definite from one of the screenshots that there is a burst system. Kirino's "BLAST OK" icon flashed when she used it, so that probably represents it's availability. There's something called "Extended Action", but GT's explanation of it isn't coherent enough to take much information from it. Here are a portion of images posted on Anime Suki of the event space showing (albeit slightly) the cabinets. Also, since people are, as shown there, playing the game as of now, we can expect information to be shown in BBS ect. as of now
  6. It isn't, but he did ask for Extend advice. Then again, I'm not sure if there's much reason for him to do so when it's only 20 days until Phantasma's release .
  7. Adapting to items isn't really hard. Just treat it has having an extra normal with limited uses. Also, look at what items are more useful in every situation (missiles and bombs are fine in neutral and oki, catsitck is an excellent footsie tool, pan and hammer are offense items, bat is a DP), so you know if it would be better to Momo if you think it's affordable (later, you can get to the slightly more advanced decision of what item is generally better for each matchup). 5A and 2A, as "uninteresting" as it might seem, are your main pressure tools: They're excellent staggers and really safe to throw out. 6B is also useful in that: It sucks as an overhead, but it's your only + move without items. Trying to get people to respect you during her pressure is probably the most important part of it: Once they respect you, you can go for things like TK swallow that would die to disrespect, but can really prove efficient if they don't.
  8. ... Except that she could do all that in a fighting game, at least to some extent. Honestly, Misaka is almost certain. Moe, highly popular Character in Japan within a highly popular series, a lot of potential for her moveset, ect.
  9. You could accuse me of personal bias of a sort because of how much I like it, but I would include Kino's Journey on that list, for a few reasons: It's one of Dengeki's longest running series, with the novels being continued for almost a decade now. It recently was reserialized in Bunko, as well as having a new volume released. Finally, even if it's applicable to most Dengeki properties, Kino in some sense is sort of moe, so if they're going for an "all girl" angle she'd probably be able to fit in that.
  10. I personally care about quite an amount of the potential Dengeki Characters (Kino, Celty, Claire) more than any of Sega's properties, nor do I really think that there's much possibility of there being many of those properties being included. It's probably just Valkyria/Sakura and that's it, seeing as Dengeki published both the manga adaptations of the series.
  11. Some things from the small amount of footage we saw: Assist cancels are available and, as of now, take one bar. The assists themselves also seem to have a unique cooldown, although it may only apply to cancels. There seems to be a rather quick automatic meter gain, which halts for some time after using a metered ability (both Characters have it available to begin, before Asuna uses an assist cancel and it stops on her side). The icons above the meter seem to be used for a form of buff.
  12. My point was that they haven't really advertised such inclusions, at least not yet. Just looking at the title: There's only the Dengeki logo there. It was also made specifically for the publishing company's 20th anniversary, so I really wouldn't be surprised if it was majorly their content. And I may just not be aware of some Japanese video game terminology here, but I don't really see there being any difference between "Dengeki Vs. Sega" and "Dengeki X Sega". Both to me just seem like stating the collaboration, not indicating the content to be included. ... I didn't know. ;_;
  13. There's an article from ANN here stating that there is a loketest intended for the sixth of October in Akihabara, with more Characters being shown.
  14. Viewing it again, I don't really think they'll be many Sega Characters, if at all: Maybe just one or so from Valkyria, because of the stage and the fact that, unlike most Sega properties, it would actually fit in with the majority of Dengeki's, but no more. Mainly due towards the fact that it's being advertised, at least currently, as solely a Dengeki project: If they were going to put much emphasis on Sega inclusions, they would probably have included that in the title, or at least some visual promotional material.
  15. It's probably not French Bread. They seem focused on Under right now and I don't think they've ever worked with Sega previously.
  16. Yup, I think this got posted before, although the channel linked was Jourdal's.
  17. I don't really care for it myself, but it's popular enough that it'll probably get in.
  18. Sega published VF. Even if it's really different, with, you know, being 3D rather than not, it's still mostly a solid competitive franchise. I doubt they'd really screw it up that much. They'll probably assign an efficient team. And yes, the cast could be absolutely amazing. As well as the works you mentioned, we have Baccano, Shigofumi, Kino, Azumangha if they're fine with how much they'll probably contrast even with what's already revealed, Gunslinger Girl: If they really want to treat people, we could even have fucking Boogiepop Phantom, even if that's improbable. Best roster confirmed? Yup, they've got all of that. There's also, as I mentioned before, the possibility of Sega properties being placed in, so that adds even more potential. My hope is that they'll keep it to one Character per series. Seems like the best way to please the most people .
  19. A game commissioned by Dengeki, published by Sega, and developed by French Bread . The game released on the 18th of March, and a console port is confirmed for Fall of this year. We also have an official site (http://climax.sega.jp), including a blog concerning the game, although that requires translating from Japanese. Information Documents: This is a group of pastebins to accumulate whatever information we have of the game. As of now, it only consists of basic system information and scraps from BBS/Twitter, but after release, edit anything helpful you find from match videos or other information sources - tech, top players impressions of Characters and match ups, ect. - and, on console release, things you discover from playing yourself if you decide to import it (because I honestly doubt it's getting a western localization) into the respective pastebins and post the edit of said pastebin here, and I'll take out the version here and update it with the new variation (or just post/link the added contents here and I'll put them on the page ). There'll be a pastebin for general information (system, loketest/release dates, ect.), one for every Character (summaries, combos and other tech, matchups, assist reccommendations, tips and tricks) and one for every support (summaries again, useful tidbits, Character reccomendations). General Gameplay Information. Character Documents: Shana. Asuna. Misaka. Kirino. Shizuo. Kuroyukihime. Kirito. Tomoka Minato. Virtua Fighter's Akira has also been confirmed as an Arcade boss Character: It is unknown as to his playability as of now. Support Documents: Wilhelmina. Leafia. Touma. Kuroneko. Celty. Haruyuki. Holo. Boogiepop. Maou. Hinata Hakamada. Kaga Koko. Kino. Mashiro Shiina. Erio Touwa. Pai of Virtua Fighter has also been confirmed as Akira's assist: Again, it is unknown as to whether players will be allowed access to them. Videos. Will eventually include Character sections, but knowing there to only be loketest footage now, we'll just have one group for that instead. 11th - 13th October Loketest. Playlist one. Playlist two. Playlist three, day one. Playlist three, day three. 15th - 16th February Japan Expo Demonstrations (plus shakycam uploads) Four match set, features Kirito, Tomoka, Leafia, Touma, Shana, Shizuo, Haruyuki, Kino, Kirino, Hina, Maou, Misaka, Mashiro. Single match, features Misaka, Tomoka, Kuroneko, Touma. Shakycam footage, features Kuroyuki, Misaka, Mashiro, Holo, Shana, Kino.
  20. WAIT WAIT WAIT wait. Manchester? Yessss finally. So um, hey, I'm Ashes, fine to meet you. As has been said, we generally have all interaction in the Skype Group for U.K./G.B. Dustloop. Ask to contact me or somebody else there (my Skype is to the left, below my username). Unfortunately, I don't have access to PSN, however, as a Manchester resident myself, I'm generally available for games offline instead. I don't play much P4A, but I'd probably be willing to at least sometimes, and BB is something I'm usually utterly fine with. Welcome~
  21. I actually didn't mention there are weekly events for BB/P4A every Wednesday within the establishment (sorry :v). Apparently they don't get much turnout, for P4A especially, but any people are better than none, I guess. Also, as I said before, no stick for the specific console isn't much of a problem, due towards the fact they do have 360 sticks for public use., and within my visit, they were basically almost always available. My Skype name is to the left below my usertag. Contact me and I'll add you.
  22. Hiiiii. Most people here do indeed use PSN. However, the majority of us simply don't post here any more due towards the making of a Skype chat. If you want to discuss matches and things, it's best to go there, unless it's one with Simmatron (Adam), who still posts here somewhat regularly. There is a list within the first posts of everybody's PSN tags, though, so you can go look at that if you so desire. For offline competition, the best place in London is probably the HoG, although there wasn't much BB/P4A when I visited. There are only two PS3's there, within contrast to the mass of 360 setups, but they do have public use, working (in my experience) 360 sticks, so unless you're a pad player, that'll help with that. Welcome to Dustloop.
  23. What happened to your thread title. This isn't the Arizona I know and love ;_;
  24. There really isn't much to do with defense meterless as Plat aside from block. And even if you have the bat, that generally dies to jump ins. However, she does build meter greatly, so unless you're being completely destroyed you'll probably have CA/CDT available anyway. Just make sure to use them unpredictably: They can both be easily baited.
  25. > Implying I am serious about this whatsoever.
