ARC can be blamed. Maybe they wanted 95% of the profits so no good anime studios were interested. ARC maybe also wanted full artistic control which turned off any good anime director from wanting to do it. It works much like when writers pitch movies to production companies. All speculation of course. We would have to know the terms of contract to comment on what the hell went wrong.

Shipping was 8900yen for EMS. I'm curious if it is actually that heavy.

Its not uncommon for Dengeki or Famitsu to give high reviews, but they are usually given to well marketed AAA games. I've never seen them give anything lower than a 5/10 though for low budget niche games. A mid 90's score would mean CP is as good as a FF game lol.... whatever that would mean.

It looks bad (animation) compared to most other popular 2013 anime. Mostly a budget problem. Hopefully they clean it up on the BD release. Lack of frames and inconsistent faces are the main problems I see.

To gain more market share for the PS4. Same reason why they bothered to make the DS4 PC compatible. If the DS4 works on PC at launch, that means it probably works with standard windows drivers and onboard PC MB bluetooth/ generic bluetooth receiver dongles. This implies that its not using anthing super proprietary in its design. By contrast, Microsoft mentioned that the XBone controller won't work for PC until 2014 (probably with a release of drivers and maybe a dongle). I'm just dropping the link and info here. Everyone is free to draw their own conclusions.

PS3 DS3s won't work with the PS4 since they intentionally changed the blue tooth signal codes. Whether or not the PS4 works with old arcade sticks will depend on if the system can use generic USB controllers (like the PS3 can). I'll just have to plug something in on Nov 15th and find out. There is no official word on it from Sony. The only thing they have confirmed for generic USB devices working on PS4, is headsets.

Also, I'm sure there has been some silent patching of the arcade version in the last many months.

A lot of animation (in anime) and game asset projection (like 3d modelling) is outsourced to low cost studios. It can be easily leaked through those employees. Everything gets leaked. Movies and games before release, source code for hacks, cracks and keygens, etc. Its just a bunch of contractors doing the work. Its like asking restaurant staff not to steal food =S.

I was itching for a new fighting game and had been playing MvsC3 and SF4 mostly in the past. I saw the first BBCP trailer via a news site, thought it looked great. Ordered CSEX online and loved it. CT actually caught my eye way back, but I didn't buy it cause everyone was playing SF4 at that time.

I hope Mitsuru is getting the BBCP Mu-12 treatment for combos... -nerf corner combo damage -buff meterless midscreen combo damage -make combos less CH dependant -change combos to remove weird timing (like Mu-12's habacan stuff / Mitsuru's catching off 2D with 5/4/6B)
