What I was getting at was, the universe DOES exist without a record of its existence.... its the alternate universes, alternate timelines, past and future universes that can't exist without complete (every little detail) records of their existence. Yes its bad story telling. It just gets a free pass due to being a fighting game that's fun to play. RPGs get ripped apart for poorly told stories like FF13. Hopefully Mori does as he claims saying that CP do more to spell out the story and context.

[CP] (Pre-Release) Noel Vermillion - Gameplay Discussion.

Here is some pure speculation on the 5k 6B combo. If it works in the corner but not midscreen, the only difference I can see is the distance the opponent is after the final d6C is thrown right before the 214A. Since Noel needs to travel to hit the center of the opponent in the command grab, the farther this distance, the more time for stun recovery. d4D increases the distance quite a bit. d5C>d6C is required to bring the opponent to touching distance (absolute minimum). If 6B>5D>d6C connects (big IF) due to d6C's speed change in CP, then: 6B>5D>d6C>d4D>d5C>d6C>214A>.... might work midscreen, though I'm sure someone has already tried... Noel news is slow... -

Here is Tsubaki getting hit with the 5k meterless combo in the corner, though it was dropped. It seems like more evidence it only works in the corner for most characters. http://youtu.be/U5dHJKPl0nk?t=5m34s I wonder why it would only work on Jin midscreen. It is because his standing hurtbox is narrow? Maybe some other combination of drive moves will make it work for midscreen better. -
That's an interesting theory. If Mori does read about physics stuff as inspiration, I'll throw this out there. On the topic of time travel in BB: There is one real science theory that says there is no "timeline" in which you can travel between different points. There is only the present. This goes with the theory of "information". It is because there is nothing in the universe (temporal as well) that stores all of the information of what happened in the past or in alternate future outcomes. This includes all the mundane things like how gas is drifting around space or what path a piece of garbage took when it floated around in the sea. Without information of it, it cannot exist or be created if someone tried to jump through a portal. In the Blazblue world, it was mentioned that the boundary was the place where memories are stored, and possibilities. I'm not sure if the boundary and the Master unit are considered the same thing or heavily connected in function. If the boundary was cut off, or maybe the Master unit destroyed, then this memory would be gone, preventing time travel and fun stuff.

LoL there is a difference between just saying that and actually doing that. -

Airk: Unless you only played 1 fighting game all of 2012, i would say you are in category 1. I have some friends who still strictly play SSF4AE nothing else, and the updates to that game are hardly substantial enough to reset you to "zero". They fit under category 2. If you are learning the "fundamentals" (myself included), I don't think a version change hurts that. They are transferable skills. Why else are the pro's already doing crazy stuff after a game has just been out for a week or 2? -

I welcome BB iterations for new story content. For FGs in general, I think there are 2 camps. 1. People who get bored and want to try new games. These people will want a newer version, often playing some other games between the time too. It also gives a reason to try to main a new character. 2. People who will only play what they are good at, and refuse to try new things. They care greatly for winning. These people are those that refused abandon Starcraft 1 when Starcraft 2 came out, even though the first game had been around rotting for 10 years because they didn't want to lose. -

It looks like 5b>6b>5D.... will work on CH. A bit easier to hit than CH 5C>6b... http://youtu.be/32OiCqh7Oyc?t=4m13s This works probably only on crouching opponent, same as CSEX. -

Here is a vid of j2C on CH. http://youtu.be/S-4AUqu6MSA?t=9m21s It looks like the untechable time is too short to follow up with an attack. -

5B>5C>236C>RC>66>5B>5C>hjc>jC>jD..... is a combo that I want to see being used more in the vids. This can be used midscreen right? It seems equivalent to Ragna's 5B>5C>2D>RC>... which people have been doing on queue for a long time. Noel's is harder to do of course =( -

I do feel that Noel has improved a lot in CP. It makes me wonder how they are making these tier lists anyways... did they use the match up table and summed up points? These are always limited to who is doing the testing. I guess we will have to see how j2C does after the console version comes out. It seems to have a weird hitbox. A possibly good combo is shown here at 1:31, Depending on how wide jD's hitbox is, might or might not be practical. Does it have to be done at absolutely the minimal distance? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kTQlYqhdVw Another thing that seems to be unknown is how crush trigger can be used to extend or increase corner combo damage. Most other characters seem to be able to use crush trigger to do this. Noel's basic corner combos shown so far seem to do about the same about of damage as her "optimized" midscreen combos. -

If Noel had a good aerial overhead she would be A tier lol. I guess it seems confirmed that standalone j2C is useless since no one uses it in the arcade vids. My dream special move would be - change spring raid into Cammy Cannon Spike, usable anytime. I do see some inspiration taken here =) -
From what I have seen in the vids, C starter combos don't even seem to have a "time limit". A starter combos can hit around 2.5k before the opponent instantly techs. B starter combos can hit around 5k before opponent instantly techs. This seems to be totally independent from whether its CH or FC or regular. I think this is why you don't see players stuck dying in the corner as much in CP. If you pushed an opponent to the corner and after "reset" and hit the guy in the corner with a 5a or 2a, the corner combo is limited to around 2.5k. I'm not sure if combos started with specials/DD are different or how different.

Anyone see 5B>6A>5B being used at all? I remember someone mentioning this string earlier. 5B>6A>5B>hjc>jC>jD might connect better (due to range) than 5B>6A>6C>hjc>jC>jD. It could go 5B>6A>5B>2C>236C if blocked. 2B>6A>5B>hjc>jC>jD connects in EX. The extra on-ground hit after 6A does give much more time for the brain to prepare for the high jump. -

Thanks for the vid. If that works in CP (Noel lands first), the combo can probably go 4k+ in damage since in CP you can extend the drive combo with 22C>pickup instead of finishing with BT. That wasn't shown in the vid I posted since it was an earlier vid. I think any b or c starter combo can be extended with 22C>pickup. edit: See 4:12 in this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi2hsfp3rNU There is a CH RB with no j2C finisher here... so if it was closer to the ground it could probably be picked up with combo. -

I'm just a noob. I can't give that kind of detail =) See vid @3:04 for a variation of the combo I was talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6yEYnzgt5I I've seen 5c (on aerial opponent) > 66 > 5b>5c>hjc>jC>jD>drive combo... as well. Not easy to execute imo though. Or you can go 6a>hjc>jC>jD>drive combo. -

Has anyone seen a TK RB in CP? Does it actually stun the opponent through all of the hits if they are standing? It seems to net more damage if Noel high jumps from a AA CH (if 5c or 6a) or such, and goes into jD>drive combo than do double jump combo into RB. -
Can Hakumen absorb (drive) charged stein shots? Or just uncharged shots?

After fiddling with EX for a bit I am convinced now that it won't work as you guys said. I just realized that 5c cancels into 6b in EX... but is too slow to combo... In EX, CH 5c>6b works, but CH 5b>5c>6b doesn't. I can't see 6c(1) having anymore hitstun than 5c. Strangely, 6b cancels into 5d in EX already, but doesn't combo. They must of either made 6b have more hitstun, or made 5d faster in CP. -

These all work in EX, I tried them. On standing and crouching (non CH) opponents. 2a>6c(1) 2b>6c(1) 2a>2b>6c(1) 6c(1)>6b is a new gatling for CP. That's why I was curious. Here is a R-1 video for reference. See vid at 3:07. It works on a bouncing opponent for sure. You can get a feel for the recovery speed in that video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRogh1ez2qE Also, 5c>6b CH works, if 5c is the starter I think based on that R-1 other "basic combos" vid. -

Does this combo work at all on standing or crouching opponents? Or on CH? 2a>6c(1)>6b>5d>......214a? 2b>6c(1)>6b>5d>......214a?
