  1. TK Bomb Bag as an oki? TK Bomb Bag??? Yeah, don't do it. AFAIK it's too slow, too obvious, and if you can't space it right Faust will have to block the bomb (and thus he'll get no advantage out of it).
  2. Oh damn, I meant CH DOT :p Still, DOT FRC takes 75% tension. Do japanese Slayers save their tension for it more often now?

  7. Back in Slash, Kintaro showed an option select trick between air throw and air FD. Is that still doable in AC?
  8. I don't know if doing TK GMW outside of block strings is safe. Remember guys, Faust's head is quite vulnerable while he's GMW-ing. @Superslash2 : a) When the guard gauge is high enough, you'll see it blinking. As long as it's blinking, any hit the opponent receives will be a counterhit. b) A block string is a series of attacks which is done at a blocking opponent and doesn't let the opponent escape.   9. This thread just won't die Here's my motivational poster idea. 1. Taunting : It's not the character who would get angry, but the player. 2. (the picture shows a character, preferably Sol, dashing towards Dizzy while she's at the beginning of shooting her Imperial Ray) OH SHIT : Use Dash Break, fool! 3. (the picture shows Slayer hitting Chipp with his Pilebunker, and it's a counterhit) WHAT THE HELL? STILL NOT DIZZY? : This is why frame data is so important. 4. (the picture shows Slayer preparing his Dead On Time super, and Testament preparing his net) IT'S PAYBACK TIME : And it's gonna really really hurt....
  10. Yeah, it may takes time to get used doing it, but the magic door FRC mixups can be quite effective.

  12. No you didn't say Ky was Eddie, and I didn't say that you're equalling Ky to Eddie either Wait, I think there's a misinterpretation here. I said Slayer gotta move around like a madman, I didn't say Slayer gotta KEEP HIMSELF AWAY from Ky. Slayer definitely have to get closer to Ky, but once Ky's in Slayer's effective attack range, Slayer gotta mix things up. He could let out a FDC mappa, or he could just jump. He could do IAD j.D, or he could air backdash to safety. Mix it up. And it's not gonna work unless Slayer's been moving around unpredictably. And trying to hit Slayer from a long distance is like trying to shoot a rat with a rifle. The rat is way too fast and agile Ky can only fight Slayer effectively at mid-range, but it's the effective range for Slayer as well (mappa, 2H, BBU, IAD).
  13. Really, Ky isn't Eddie. What's he gonna do, then? Can he destroy Slayer's unpredictability? If Slayer is moving around like that, Ky's not gonna catch him. Slayer's not gonna catch Ky either, but it's exactly in that situation Slayer's "big CH game" can truly begin.
  14. Sorry, but I just don't get why Ky has advantage at neutral situations. IMO in this matchup, Slayer just isn't going to have any troubles when he's in a neutral situation. IMO, "having advantage in neutral situations" means that the character could force the opponent to eat his/her game and the opponent just can't do anything, not even escaping/running away. And, just how would Ky do that to Slayer? The only characters who could do that are ones with great space-controlling abilities, and Ky isn't like that. Well, not that great. I believe that the key to victory in this matchup is playing unpredictably. Slayer just has to aim for big combo starters like BBU and 2H, and he won't get many chances for it unless he's unpredictable to Ky. So, Slayer gotta move around like a madman. Dash dash dash dash... jump and airdash. Dash dash dash dash... superjump and air backdash. Dash dash dash dash... FDC d-step. Dash dash dash dash... mappa. You get the idea.
  15. Yes, running VV really works. Slayer's pokes are quite strong, yet most of it really can't be used recklessly. So when Slayer starts to abuse his pokes (which is what most Slayer users are tempted to do so many times), destroy his guts with surprise VV. Fighting Slayer is like fighting a sniper/gunner. Compared to a swordsman, the movement of a sniper is just too fucking stiff. You should strike that weak point.
  16. 6H used to be a good mid-range poke in this match, but maybe not anymore. It's a bit too slow now.
  17. In dealing with fish, once in a while Slayer can just RC the move he uses to kill it (mappa, 5K, etc). This sounds like a waste of tension, but tension-sacrificing strategy always works well with Slayer.
  18. Use undertow only when you feel lucky And badass-looking moves like Crosswise Heel are always scary when you RC it when it get blocked I got wild throw-ed by Sol a bunch of times 'cause I was too scared to do anything after he RC-ed his blocked Grand Viper

    The flipkick (j.2K) seems to be a nice aerial movement option. I'm learning how to use it properly now.

    For a quick counterattack against some moves which are active for not very long time, like Johnny's 5H and far S. Not too often, inside and outside combos. Nowadays people like to use long air combos, and Pile Bunkers rarely fit in it. FB PB is somewhat safe (although not completely safe), non-FB one isn't, of course.
