@Senkei33 : Looks like you've got a decent Faust. From the vid, you seems to be doing random-looking things a bit too much. Won't be a problem if it's a casual, though. And, you should use air throw. I'll post more when I have something else to say.

Guys, maybe we need to make a complete guide on DOT. We need to give the move the appreciation it deserves ^^
-
Playing hi-speedy. Utilizing all of his movements to the maximum. By moving around unpredictably. Slayer has many deadly moves which can be very predictable/linear, so I just gotta play unpredictably no matter what. Neither.
-
About 6K on wakeup. AFAIK even when the opponent can reversal-backdash it, he/she isn't free yet since 6K has a very short recovery time. So I mean Slayer can just continue pressuring the opponent after the 6K.
-
Actually, d-steps can be quite scary if you can utilize it well. Think of them more as movements/maneuvers. Combine it with Slayer's dash (FDC and BDC). And use the FRCs. When Slayer moves around like a freak, he's quite scary.
-
Dust Cancelling is only useful against moves with very short active time. Like Johnny's 5H and 6H.
-
@POscrub : By "defense", what did you mean? The damage modifier of the character, or the defense capability of the character (having shoryuken, good backdash, etc)? I think it'd be much better if you used the 2nd meaning. And, by the 2nd meaning, Chipp couldn't have that bad defense. He has a shoryuken, a decent backdash, etc.

Dust Cancel is quite old, actually. Yes, the invulnerability we can get is very short, maybe only 1 or 2 frames. We can do it with Eddie too, since his 5D has a feet-invulnerability effect ^^
-
@Zinac : Thanks ^^ I've updated the Encyclopedia again, I added the "Dust Cancel" trick.
-
Hello guys, I've made some updates to the Encyclopedia thread. Tell me if something's wrong.

Is there any compilation of matches of AC Slayer somewhere? Individual matches, not huge zips?
-
IMO, in AC, Eddie is not a bad matchup for Chipp. You can't say that Chipp loses to Eddie just because 1 unblockable kills Chipp. It's just like saying that Slayer is a bad matchup for Testament because 1 CH Dead On Time kills Testament.

Okay, let's bring the "Slayer and the Mighty Orb" setups back ^^
-
AFAIK, Niga's AC Slayer had been too agressive and such. AFAIK Kubo wasn't that consistent either, but when he did play well, his Slayer looked like THE real Slayer.
-
You aren't reading it wrong. But you're making a wrong conclusion, "2H -> BBU has a window smaller then FRC's". 2H is +11 on hit, BBU has 10 startup frames, that means we get a 2-frame window to combo it. Many FRC's have 2-frame window, so 2H-BBU is definitely not harder than FRC's.
-
@Zinac : AFAIK, no it's not a link, it's indeed a gatling. Because immediately after the 3rd hit of 2K, we can do 2P and ONLY 2P. If we want to do something else, we have to wait until 2K finishes it's recovery time. But if we want to do 2P afterwards, we don't have to do that. Maybe we can call it "late gatling", just like Slayer's.

Guys, am I naive when I think that Slayer would be the next king, kicking Eddie outta his throne? 1. Slayer can actually fight anyone now, thanks to the new DOT (and maybe BBU). 2. SB doesn't help much when fighting Slayer, because Slayer's abare capability is just too awesome. Tell me that I'm not naive! QFT Maybe a bit too Darkstalkers, although cool ^^

@baka-busu : And you also gotta make sure you don't recklessly try to avoid Pot's 6H just because you fear his 236S trap. Or else Pot will get free 6H's. ^^ -
Sometimes, fighting Testament makes me feel like playing a 2D shooting game. Slayer has a lot of short-range "guns" which he can use anytime, and one badass full-screen "beam cannon" which requires him to charge his power meter.

vs Sol : - don't spam far S - always be ready to anti-air - always be ready to use handslap FB (since Sol like to use 2D) I'm not sure about using it vs Sol, well maybe it shouldn't be used much.
-
Can it work on most/all characters?
-
I use it, it's easy yet damaging.
