Good work on this Pssych! Be sure to make liberal use of this doc to contact others and play games with them guys! The article probably went up before it existed. The SRK article got updated with it and it's in the master list of player base docs so it should be fine.

You're in luck. Doonpa was recently kind enough to fill out Naoto's Wiki. It has a very detailed explanations about what her individual tools are good for, tips and tricks for neutral as well as links to evernotes with combos you should know. It would be a great place to start.

If people haven't filled it out yet, chances are it's because no one stepped forward to do it. The wiki is a community effort though so if you want to update it, you can. If you have any trouble figuring out what to say about something in particular you can always try tweeting at Jona or Barzorx for advice. Actually, I forgot we have a nifty alert system. Then I guess this is where this conversation ends. No point wasting my time writing a long post if the claims of your post aren't up for debate. This is an odd question to ask. Partly because I feel the question should be "Would you mind telling me how this is not an issue shared by most other fighting game communities?". Partly because usually, when there's a problem, the two questions you have to ask yourself are "How can I fix it?" and "What caused the problem?" since it usually gives important clues on how to solve a problem. There isn't much reason to ask why this isn't a problem in other cases because the answer to the question could be multiple things that would probably vary whether I was discussing Persona, UNIEL, DFC, AH3, SG, Injustice, MK, etc. and the answers aren't necessarily applicable to the current problem at all. The real question here should be "Why is this a problem in GG and BB's communities to begin with?". That's a question you're going to have to answer on your own though because to be honest, I go out of my way to keep my distance from these 2 communities these days and I'm not up to date. Got fed up with all the same issues and drama just happening repeatedly. Ugh, it really was like being back in High School. Also, to be clear, this isn't an issue of elitism. It's really more people having personality defects than anything else. The key thing about the sentence I just wrote is that when I say people, I mean different groups of individuals. It's been a long time since I've actively observed the BB community but lets use my out of date observations as an example anyway to highlight what I'm trying to say. If there weren't people who feel the need to say things in such a definitive and authoritative way, good players probably wouldn't make fun of them to begin with when they say very wrong things. They'd just correct them or ignore them. If there weren't vocal and closely followed good players who were the kind of people to make fun of people for saying very wrong things, then people wouldn't make a big deal out of it. If the community wasn't such a "go with the flow" type of community and proceed to blow up the joke to the point that people are still making fun of it months later, there wouldn't be a problem. Individually, these personality defects don't really cause too much of a problem but together, they form a problem that would be very hard to fix because unfortunately, a lot of this just boils down to how people are. People saying things in a definitive, authoritative way is usually a habit of speech picked up from interacting in particular social groups. People usually don't do it intentionally for the negative effect that actually happens, they just grew up thinking that's how people should talk. It's more or less the same deal with good players making fun of them as well. They openly make fun of them because in the social groups they usually interact in, it's a typical thing to do and much more importantly, it's not a big deal where they're from. The people who are the target of the joke won't take it as seriously because they're already used to this type of thing happening. On top of that, a lot of the good players making fun of things happens outside of DL where they can't really be regulated and can say pretty much whatever they want. Best you could do is politely ask them to tone it down. As for the part of the community that blows up the joke, way too many people to change. You can't really expect much here. Like I said, in my initial post, a lot of this comes down to the community that just happens to form around the game. Sometimes you get lucky and you get an amazing community Sometimes you draw the "Go Directly To Jail. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200" card and get a not so good community.

Have you tried getting in contact with other EU persona players and arranging to have weekly netplay meetups/lobbies?

Reading this opening post, I kind of feel like a lot of this is really just you projecting your personal feelings on to the community, a lot of which may have been tainted by the stress and burdens you put on yourself by putting too much stock into what your performance at Evo means for you as a player. I also feel like that the reality of your situation is that you might in reality not spend much time interacting with the rest of the community. There were a number of things about you said about the community that were off. I'm not going to go over them all but here's a few things that really caught my eye. Putting it all in a collapseable because wall of text.

Depends on how much additional explanation is needed. If the tech videos speak for themselves or can be explained with one liners, I say group them into a daily. If you find yourself having to write a few paragraphs to cover the video, I'd make it an individual article

0 is the best Bullet to watch but footage of him is like non existent so we're pretty much SOL. As for the idea itself, personally I'm not too fond of it for many reasons that are best kept to myself. Overall, I think it would be much more fruitful if people just make more of an effort to have more match discussion and discussion in general in the gameplay thread. But if you guys like the idea, I think you guys should go for it. I won't participate but I wish you the best of luck with it!

I may be misunderstanding huey's intent but from what I can tell, this thread is just one of many that he's going to create to present problems, gather feedback and come up with solutions. We should stay on topic and focus just on the current front page problem and save other topics for later threads. With that said, here's my feedback on the current topic. To be honest, the biggest problems with the front page are That it's on a page completely set apart from the rest of the forum. Most people spend their time browsing the forum itself and never see it. It should be just a regular news forum at the top so people can see if anything new has been posted as they browse A lot of the stuff that people are suggesting should be posted in the news section should be already posted somewhere else. Want to know what tournaments are coming up, whether it be a local or major? Go to the events forum. Want to know the results of a specific tournament? I want to say you should check out the tournament results subforum in the events forum but to be honest, next to no one actually uses. Want to know the latest news on your favorite ASW game? Again, Ideally I want to say you should check out the sticked news thread that's only for posting news in the gameplay forum. Unfortunately, a lot of people just post the latest news in the News and Gameplay Thread, not both. Informational content can be news worthy though but it depends. If it's general stuff like OSes, it's news worthy. But stuff that only really applies to just one character and its player base should just go in that character's subforum. I kind of feel like it's much more worthwhile to work on the Event forum and just making sure stuff gets posted in the right places. On the particular topic of Arc Revo since its the next biggest thing in the immediate future, I'd recommend creating a thread for it in the Events forum and making it a giant informational post. I can't really recommend putting all that much effort into content creation for the front page. Too much formal effort from the moderation team for something that can easily be covered informally in places you already have set up and pretty much anyone can do it. I rather that effort got put to use somewhere else.
