  1. I have no other explanation other than I simply don't know yet, it's why I'm curious. It'd be nice to contact somebody who's been playing the game for more than a week and has some more insight into this, but it's not something I can easily do. This is more or less the same reasons I have considered banning it. Player demand and the fact it's /probably/ busted makes me lean on that harder. I just want to know a bit more first, I'm in no rush. Don't want to start an argument over this, but it's worth pointing out for this discussion that SMP loops aren't infinites and they were never up for being banned.
  2. I'm not saying I want to do what Japan does, I'm just curious WHY I'm not seeing it. If it's a soft ban or if it actually just doesn't happen often naturally, I have no idea. I'm not going to make assumptions either, like "Oh they probably soft banned it, it's why we don't see it." I want to know if it's uncommon because of a soft ban or if it's just something Waldstein's don't think or want to go for.
  3. I haven't decided on how my events are going to handle it. The players want it banned, but I'm undecided because I honestly don't know much about how hard it affects things yet. The damn thing has been known about for months in Japan and I'm curious as to why nobody there has been doing it often and why nobody here brought this up earlier. I have an idea and we're leaning on banning it, but I just want to know more about it before I say anything. Also, I won't ban it because it's lame, is a bad look, might upset people, etc. That's pretty bad thinking to me. I'll only ban it if we can concretely say it damages the meta, which I don't know yet :T
  4. Hmmm? It's been awhile since I made/looked at it so I apologize if something is poorly worded. We can always fix it >_< The thing is to just do the IAD motion and learn how long you need to hold the boost and when to hit air turn and j.C to get the angle you want. It's really important to know which angle you want to beat certain things, plus you need to hit the j.C(1) in a way that makes it easy to confirm.
  5. Do an IAD motion and then time the A+C and j.C for the angle you want. I wrote up on the wiki about this ^_^
  6. That "crazy" set up was just Bace putting worms down and then using the respect to get j.C > j.B mix up and flight mix up. I explained how the flight mix up works in the first page of the thread. Also, it's just Anne
  7. Usually, yeah. Once you get to the end of the combo, you're probably scaled to such a point it wouldn't make a huge difference to drop some damage for better oki. There are some combo routes that are there for you to maximize damage before you throw in the 66C ender but I'd have to mess around to know which are actually optimal for that.
  8. Stop arguing about auto combos and talk about something useful.
  9. C worms are okay sometimes if you have a lot of meter and want to really establish something, but I would hold off on using them often in favor of other types of oki. The power of flight/66C/divekick/grab all combined is really nuts.
  10. I've messed with this, and personally I think worms are buttcheeks after this. If you ever end a combo with 66C in the corner, you should go for flight oki instead. It's very strong. Also it's 2B instead of 2C. Speaking of corner, I'll leave this here: (starter that is not an A button) > 2C > 623A > 2B > 5B > 6C > j.C > j.A > j.B(2) > 66C > 2C > 5C(might need to use 5B) > 4B. If you want 4B ender, this is the best combo I have.
  11. Not a huge fan of assault j.C. It's alright though, just wish it led to better things.
  12. Pressure is abuse 2A, 2B, 2C to catch mash, then reverse gatling back to 5A after like a 5C and reset pressure. His pressure is actually really strong thanks to how his normals hit and his 5A. Once you get people conditioned you can throw the overhead in (his overhead is stupid good) to catch mash/throw tech.
  13. I'd assume so. It's not all that hard, but is finicky and you'll need to practice it a bit. The basic midscreen combo is just like: starter > 2CC > 6[C] > jc9 > j.6D > j.A > j.B(2) > 66C > 66 > 2C > 5C > 4B If they're really far out you can do: starter > 2C > 5C > 6C > jc9 > j.6D > j.A > j.B(2) > 5BB > (5C sometimes?) > 6C > 214B If you can't get the airdash you can do something simple like 2CC > j.C > j.A > j.B(2) > 66C > ender, assuming they are close enough.
  14. His combo paths are all really straightforward. There's not a whole lot to them.
  15. You'll mostly see it used as a frame trap, like with Mitsuru. With Teddie it's actually really hilarious, Marro will use hop to fake an IAD left/right to try and catch people.
  16. Ugh Merkava combos are pretty finicky. You're going to be doing a lot of 6[C] > j.6D > j.A > j.B(2) > 66C. If you can't hit that, you're going to have a bad time. It's pretty doable and I'm getting it down offline, but online I have issues timing the j.6D thanks to 6[C]'s hitstop.
  17. Welcome to the Persona 4 Arena Question Thread! Ask any questions GAMEPLAY related regarding Persona 4 Arena and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax here. Anything story related please take it to the Zepp Museum or your fan blog. Anyone is allowed to ask a question, and anyone is allowed to answer a question. However, please read the following rules as to this thread:You are allowed to ask as many questions as you want in a single post. However, please be smart about what you ask. We don't want to see questions that ask about how much swag Banchou has.If you are going to answer a question, please be courteous of the person who asked the question. Just because an answer may be obvious to you does not mean that it will be obvious to the person who asked the question. In other words, respect the person in your answer. If you notice any information from an answer to be incorrect or an opinion that's completely skewed, you are allowed to make a post regarding your corrections or thoughts. However, the same rule applies. In the case of opinions, please keep your own to a minimum. This topic isn't meant for arguments or debates, but rather for helping the ignorant and curious.Don't make any flammatory or pointless posts. Try your best to refrain from making redundant posts. Our forums have a "Search Thread" feature located in the bar above the first post of the page. We'll be lenient on the redundancy, since we understand very well that searching through Dustloop posts is not only an absolutely cringing hassle, but also because some of the posts here aren't what we call "quality posts." However, if you ask a question that's just been asked a few posts ago, we will give you a warning.Breaking these rules will either result in an infraction, tempban, or permanent ban, depending on how bad the offense is, past offenses, or the mood that the mods feel. Seriously, don't mess with us on this. Love you all, go nuts.
  18. I just want to point out how this works because it's really important. You'll see Merkavas go for flight after ending a combo in 66C or 3C. You can go for a safejump high from the flight, or land and go low. If people respect you can land and then grab or go for a delayed overhead or whatever trickery. If you do go for a higher j.A, you can also gatling into j.B for a double overhead etc. Best thing to do with flight oki is just pretend you're Plat with swallow moon and go crazy. TatsuE likes to get clever and he'll whiff the j.A, then land and go for grab/3C mix up. EDIT: I should mention you will have to whiff a button(you can actually whiff it in a way where you can't see it) to get rid of the flight's landing recovery before you go for the low.
  19. Landing recovery is of the last move you performed before you landed btw. This is why Taokaka can combo after 6B xx j.236B(w) but not after just 6B. The j.236B has less landing recovery. Edit: Since the move never becomes active I guess that answers your second question as well.
  20. Hmm? I don't get what you're asking. If she gets announced sure.
  21. If you ever go to GG in Antioch on Tuesdays, I'll be there.
  22. Do you not read what I am saying?
  23. Trying to guess which Persona she would use is the kind of pointless speculation you're not supposed to do -_-
  24. I won't yell unless it's pointless and baseless and dumb. When somebody says something and people go "oh it's totally happening, let's fuss about it with each other" sure. A lot of that is pointless and people just say wild shit like "it has to be MC cause x reason" or speculate to the point of total uselessness. When an actual image of a character leaks onto something which contains only known playable chars, it's worth pointing out that there's something weird going on. As long as people don't fuss and just stick with what we actually know it's fine. What we know is there's an official promo art with Margaret on it that only contains other playable characters. It sticks out as weird and is worth pointing out. Don't just assume she's in the game though until something is revealed(or not revealed) and all that.
