  1. OK, I take back what I said. She's fine.
  2. I think the the sentiment from most Haku players right now is "at least delete the move if you won't fix it." It's bad enough the move is shite, but it's even worse that it's so easy to accidentally input.
  3. There's an idea to make 6D useful again.
  4. That definitely doesn't look like it's working as intended.
  5. I think it doesn't matter as long as there's no input lag. I've had tournaments where there was both input lag on TVs and projectors, but it's on a case by case basis. I don't recall ever encountering the issue on a PC monitor though.
  6. ASW NA still hasn't moved away from its "Fall" release window, despite the Dec 4 JP release date being known for quite a while. I'm not expecting us to get the game before Japan, but it is a bit odd.
  7. The people complaining about mods and piracy in this thread seem to use the PC only for browsing the Internet. Piracy exists on consoles as well (not as much as on PC though). Mods exist, but games that have competitive elements are usually smart about it and let you only use them for non-ranked stuff. If mods = competitive assassination then Dota2, LoL and Counter-Strike would be as competitive as a Bejeweled game on a mobile phone. There's enough reason to put Xrd on PC from a financial point of view. Ed Boon was going on about how they were blown away with how well the MK9 port did and then promptly ported Injustice as well. MKX is now PC from the get-go. BlazBlue CT for PC (the Steam version), which was stripped of online MP and which was outdated since CP was already out ended up in the Steam Top 10 sellers the day it was released. The same Steam that's responsible for the vast majority of PC sales. Skullgirls reaches the top sellers whenever it's on sale. KoF13 also does well when on sale. Now that they use the Unreal engine of all things, there is nothing to lose by porting over Xrd. The only way it would do badly were if it they did a piss-poor job of porting the game. Piracy would exist, but really, piracy exists for everything. The most pirated games are the ones that sell the most and it's from people who would have never bought your game in the first place. These people exist on PS3 and Xbox360 as well. Seriously, the people against it here sound like Harada, who said not porting Tekken on PC was because he thinks the PC doesn't like fighting games. I'm guessing it's just Japanese developers being conservative. Netherrealm took the opportunity and capitalized on it, I don't see why ASW wouldn't.
  8. If this is what they're making, I hope they bring back the old announcer with his pronunciation of "Kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaash"
  9. The first loketest removed jump cancelling from Enma, put shorter hitstun on jA and removed Shippu proration from Mugen. Mind you, this is the first out of five (?) loketests, so it might mean nothing. Not sure what other changes there were.
  10. Hey Argent Zero, mind if I add you for some Arakune matches when we're both online? (if our connection holds up, that is) I have almost no match-up exp versus the character in CP.
  11. I still get annoyed with getting combo'd into Astral, but it's even more insulting when you're lagging and someone goes into a raw astral just because they know it'll work with the latency. That said, they've minimized Astral annoyance with new installments. Before you'd have people dropping round 2 intentionally just so they could do an Astral in the final round (since it didn't have to be match-point, it had to be literally the final possible round). And let's not forget that, for some reason, you had to unlock Astrals except for three special snowflake characters who had them by default and could use them online.
  12. One quarter of the people, the ones who switch to Celica will claim how she isn't imbalanced at all and people just need to learn how to play the game better. Another quarter of the people, the ones who don't switch to Celica, will complain how she's imbalanced, a pay-to-win DLC character and how she should be banned at tournaments and "Oh my god I can't wait for Xrd #reloaded to be done with this crap." The quarter of the playerbase that is made up of Azraels both new and old will wonder what the problem is. The last quarter, the Koko players who didn't switch to Celica for some reason will just be glad everyone forgot about them.
  13. Unless you're talking to Nu or Rachel players.
  14. Considering I got floored by a French Mu player on a tourney I'm going again to this year, I don't really want to leave this to the fates if I can help it. Although so far it seems like I can't help it.
  15. It's 30Mbps/2.5Mbps. And sure, add me on PSN and we can play sometime. I'm RealSovietBear.
  16. Yup. Some very tight frame stuff is harder than usual, but it's really playable all things considered. I also play with Ven quite often and he also says it's fine (he's in Canada).
  17. GGs to mAc steamrolling me with Haku and me returning the favor VS his Rags.
  18. Most of the Mus I've played have absolutely no qualms chipping away at me at a distance and never coming close, so I guess I better practice IADing in.
  19. Funnily enough, 5D grabs that move and does about the same damage as Yuki would.
  20. I've been spending the last two weeks getting to know the various match-ups in the game and this has definitely been giving me the most trouble, short of Kokonoe. Does anyone have any general tips or quality match videos of Haku VS Mu to learn tricks from? I just get completely zoned out. I've never had Yukikaze help me that way. Her projectiles don't require enough commitment to punish her for shooting them with Yuki. The only way to actually do a proper Yuki is either when she's trying to melee pressure you, or when she does 5C > 6C, if you catch the first 5C with a 5D, you can combo into 2D to avoid 6C too or into Yuki to punish. Obviously, if you're not offline or on a pristine connection, this is suicide. I think my biggest problem is the speed of her projectiles and the passive shooting. You don't really punish her for cutting off a projectile like you do with Nu or Rachel. It's pretty insane.
  21. Responded on Twitter, but yeah, I figured out you poked out all the holes in my defenses, so I decided to go offensive using approaches I don't usually make use of. I think it worked for two matches total, but then you got used to that too. I've been generally trying lately to change my approach completely when I start losing against someone, if it's a match-up I'm familiar with.
  22. GGs to mAc and the good folk in his room. Always terrifying to play against mAc's Haku.
  23. Use OD Yuki against Mu's DP. First hit ignores her, then an invisible force just starts mauling at her. I wonder if it does more damage since it skips the proration on the first slash.
  24. GGs to people I played today, although it was an odd evening with a bunch of ragequits and abnormal lag players.
  25. No worries. I'm free for most of the weekend.
