  1. Regarding playing slayer.... How consistently can you quarter circle back + dust on pad? Also, HOS is more like punish with IAD j.H/Fafnir and otherwise just wants to be in your face pressing buttons and doing specials/charge-cancelling whereas Slayer is footsies + BDC Mappa (have no idea how the hell you're going to do that on pad) and you just wait until you either land a counter hit or get them in the corner or you have meter or some combination out of those three. Otherwise it's just sweep knockdown or mappa stun, knockdown preferred cos you get a free, throw-safe overhead meaty. Wait nevermind you said you play C. Viper in ultimate, go play Millia or Jam or something. Millia is basically oki all day + fast and Jam is high-damage wallstick loops for days plus like almost every normal she has is crazy good.

It's not that I didn't recognize delicious Black Hanekawa this whole time, it's just that I really didn't care to point out because no one should be given kudos for recognizing monogatari series characters that are about to become completely irrelevant. I like Hanekawa though, and to people who think she's bland or like the other girls (other than Shinobu in any form, she's objectively the best) better.... they're about to watch it all turn to shit... or not, idk, it depends on how far in the novels they get. Fighting games.
  3. The only important thing I got from the whole article (at least what's there for right now, it'll probably be expanded within a week or two) was that Ragna needs to seek "クシナダの楔" in order to beat/combat the imperator.

His pressure was decent before, it's just that charge meter draining slower is a godsend and he gets more guaranteed knockdowns now if he has Lvl2 instead of just having to end a combo without knockdown > opponent forward techs > welp. Also j.D has more hitstun iirc so you can actually get a very small combo off throw to get a knockdown instead of just doing 6H. My favorite change of all is 5H having 2 more frames of air float so you can do 2S > 5H > Lvl2 BRP after midscreen non-CH fafnir or CH j.H. Again, more knockdowns are great especially since those two are hits that HOS will land a lot. Also: Hi, Kenji.
  5. No character plays keep-away unless it's vs Tager or Hakumen or if you're playing as Hakumen and just building meter. You mix-up as hard as you possibly can with every character, though some are better than it than others (Hazama, Valk, Tao <----all top tier pick one of those chars if you don't want to be miserable) Grappler is Tager and he sucks, don't pick him. I guess I'll answer your question as best as I can by just dividing the characters into categories (some will fill more than one category, in fact most will) Characters with medium-long/long-range footsie/spacing normals: Ragna, Jin, Hakumen, Azrael, Tager, Mu, Litchi, Valkenhayn, Platinum, Bullet, Makoto, Bang, Taokaka, Hazama (chain LOOOOOL) Characters with projectile oki: Mu, Litchi, Makoto, Amane, Arakune, Bang (in some cases), Izayoi, Rachel, v-13, Platinum (with presents/bombs), Relius/Carl (if you count dolls as projectiles which they kind of act as them in this case), Taokaka (bowling ball wwww), Ragna (for midscreen deadspike > dash cancel sometimes) Characters with unique movement: Izayoi, Azrael, Hazama, Valkenhayn, Taokaka, Arakune, Rachel, v-13 Characters that optimally want to be in your face: Bullet, Bang, Platinum, Hazama, Valkenhayn, Taokaka, Azrael, Tsubaki, Ragna, Tager, Noel Characters that have good high-low: Azrael, Hazama, Valkenhayn, Taokaka, Litchi, Carl (unblockable in some cases), Rachel Characters with meterless DP's: Ragna, Jin, Bullet, Azrael, Tsubaki, Litchi (w/staff), Makoto, Platinum (w/bat), Mu Characters with silly (invincible) D's Bullet, Noel, Hakumen Characters with high, unburstable/hard to burst damage: Arakune, OD Hakumen, v-13, Bullet Characters with gimmicks/resets you need to get used to blocking/jumping/calling out: Jin, Tager Character with high chip damage: Amane I'm missing a lot of categories but I hope this helps answer your question a little bit. Don't know why you asked this though, you should seriously just be picking top tier but then again you (allegedly) play Anakaris...

I have a feeling that those who don't make good use of RC's/FRC's probably don't play GG much.... either that or they play Faust In AC+, off the top of my head, I can think of a few characters that use RC's even just for combos: Sol for Bandit Revolver into SW loops, Testament for Bandlands loops, Slayer for 2D > RC > 5H, Anji for comboing off TK Shin And after that there's more that I can think of whose FRC's range from useful to staple in combos and pressure: Dizzy Ice Spike, ABA Rekkas, Axl Resengeki, Venom Stinger Aim, Potemkin Buster, I-no Chemical Love, Baiken j.D, Johnny Killer Joker, Eddie Drills, Order-Sol Action Charge, Ky Stun Edge (all versions), Slayer 6P, Sol Gunflame Again, this is all off the top of my head and for characters I know even the slightest bit about. Point is, RC's and FRC's are pretty useful (and in the case of a few of the FRC's listed above, are pretty vital to the character's gameplan and overall success), even discounting the most obvious use: Reversal/DP > RC. I'm not sure if ASW is going to make this mistake again, but..... Remember when CT had a 4-part divided meter but Jin was the only one who had 25-meter moves? Yeah....... I dunno. Could happen, and the whole world will be trolled.

  11. Would doing flint shooter for oki (v. Tager) be any good or is it completely unsafe? I saw this Bullet player do it against some Tager who kept backdashing onto it even though he had a full second to see the projectile being shot and travelling. Bullet 3C (like most 3C's) beats so much of his stuff (6A, 5C, 5D, 2D, Sledge) and leads into a decent combo even without heat levels, but it will be easy to get 360'd out of it if you get too happy at certain ranges. As far as wake-up pressure goes, I almost feel like it'd be better just to either backdash a couple times and charge D or do j.D feint to bait anti-airs if you're feeling lucky. Maybe walk back 236[A] might work well just cos it's safe and Tager doesn't seem like he'd do sledge on wake-up vs Bullet. Just talking out of my ass here though, regardless it'll be kind of dangerous and up close our running away options aren't that good, which means a lot of guesses are going to have to be made. But hey, at least there's probably Tager specific pressure like 2A j.A j.C (all blocked cos lol huge).

  16. Regarding the valiant charger combos in Ke-go's "both weakpoints applied" video, don't you suppose you could do that off any decent TC>Valiant combo as well? Omitting the 2C because of repeat proration, I'd think that 5A>5B>3C>6A or just 5A>5B>6A would also work after non-weakpoint hornet launch thanks to wallstick. If it didn't though, surely you could land the same combo in the video off [decent starter]>TCL>rapid>Valiant combo.
