Ground snaphance is unblockable. I would be surprised if it wasn't unblockable, the move is basically Anji's "On" (623H) but with a kick-ass combo afterwards if you do the follow-up. Just with the rotation of miquelet and snaphance and afterburner, Bullet is an anti-lame, anti-projectile machine.

EX Slayer. If you think otherwise, go play EX Slayer right now and see how wrong you are. Okay, so maybe EX Slayer has a different dash and his rekkas are way more complex, but you get the picture. Azrael is basically streamlined Slayer but with a fuckton more gatlings and rekkas (which is why I go for the EX slayer comparison rather than the normal one). Oh, also, Azrael is basically a lot of ArcSys fighting games (save for Battle Fantasia) combined into one character. He has homing jump with Hornet, boost dash with Valiant, both Valiant and Hornet themselves are kind of shout-outs to AoA's from P4U. -

Tahichi and Dogura are the top dan-ranked and Dogura is arguably the best atm. My favorites are Shiroma, Senchou, Mato, and the top two of course. Senchou is pretty entertaining to watch and Mato developed HOT COMBOS so yeah. EDIT: Wow, Hidekichi may have topped Astral with his custom tournament-finisher: rekkas (Leopard kills) > 5C > Crush Trigger. In essence he kicks them into the wall then punts them. It may not be as flashy or hype as his astral, but goddamn is it stylish. -

I want to go off topic for a bit and delve into character love. I love how intensely homoerotic Azrael is. He's this fabulous clone of EX Slayer. He wields the power of disco in 5B, the strength of a gorilla in 5D; pretty much anything that Azrael is equipped with is some harlequin charade. Then he's just a straight-up badass with his combos, supers, and his godlike astral. How do you all feel character love? What do you like about this or any other character? On topic, I thought up some really ghetto corner roll-punish OS. While the opponent is in the corner input 421C. If they late neutral or back roll, they eat 2C. If they forward roll, you DUMP on them and follow up with 5B > rekkas, OD > 5D, etc. depending on the situation. I'm not sure what happens on emergency tech. Maybe just meaty 2C? Would have to test or see. This can only happen after ending a combo with ground drive normals and specials (non-weakpoint). I guess if you were feeling ballsy you could do the same thing with 214C for 100 p1 starter either way (if it hits). -

OD usually does something really uninteresting or broken or both. Let's hope it's just the middle option but more than likely it will be the first or third options. As for a theme, I hope it's something new, seeing as they're already using Endless Despair II on unlimited Hazama. -

You mean cancelling a dash into a move.... for future reference you can call that dash-breaking or just put the 'dashing' prefix in front of whatever you want to do. But to answer your question, yes, it all just depends on what frame of the dash you decide to cancel. So basically, no crazy 1F giant sliding normals, because the momentum is always the same whenever you decide to dash break, regardless of heat level (or so I'd assume).

I follow Zeth on twitter, so I saw/conversed with some of his tweets about Azrael not being as dependent on links as he originally thought. Which is pretty true, he really doesn't have to link all that much to get his combos working. Notable standing links I can think of are after 2C (2C, 2B; 2C, 5B) anywhere and after 3C or rekkas (on an airborne opponent) in the corner. Less-used but still important to know links are after non-weakpoint Hornet or Valiant which is usually just followed up by 5A. Other links include stuff like airdashes, e.g. 6A link IAD j.C or midscreen airborne rekkas into link IAD j.A. The point to all of this being that these "links" are less like the links that Hakumen or Slayer or a Street Fighter character uses and more just like the normal links that everyone has to do in this game. Regarding your specific example, I think what would make that link work is dependent on positioning. 5A>5B>5BB could push them too far away for follow-up. In that case, it could be used for frame traps against hella mashers or as fodder for teleport mix-up. I do like what you're thinking, though. -

Uhhhh, I think that's a new line. Either he's saying "Dou da?! HOUTENJIN!" or "douga (lol video)/touga houtenjin." So it's either just a speech alteration (could be possible given that he's fighting hakumen) or a new name for houtenjin. The reason his voice sounds super high is because full-delinquent mode Tomoya Nakamura has been unleashed. I love whenever they make him say angry lines, and now his limiter has been removed. This character is going to be nothing but vocal sex for me. So will Sol Badguy in the upcoming Guilty Gear now that they've fully passed the torch to my even more beloved Jouji. -
