GGs to Nemesis, SWD, and Dawn of Scrubs
-
People who can mash and jump out of my wakeup 2A pressure because of incredible delay. Seriously, you should never win a single game. Also, people who are so stupid that they can't even be conditioned. "I've baited and punished his wakeup DP 3 times in a row. Surely he won't do it again. *Gets hit by wakeup DP*.....WELL FUCK ME!"
-
I wanted to say this, but then I didn't want to say it at the same time. "I can no longer throw safe/easy/braindead shit at my opponent. This game is now bad/not fun." - BB community 2015 But Swordsman is cool because he plays Yeah I think if they put just ONE heavily desired character in it (Jubei or Nine). Then most people would be fine with Extend.
-
Yeah no problem. Uhh you should try blocking a lot more. Like on wakeup and during your opponent's blockstrings. The lagginess helped you mash out of combos and blockstrings a lot, but offline and in stable connections (given a good opponent of course) that will get you blown up relentlessly. You shouldn't have been getting hit by my safejump every single time (I know sometimes you were trying to 236236D, but even that can get punished). Sometimes you just gotta block until your opponent ends pressure or tries to throw you (which should happen a lot against Hakumen).

GGs Girlpower_Speed. I imagine you would use the pink Makoto (#9), if you ever picked up Makoto. C'mon think about it. She's a girl. She's uses powerful punches. And she's fast!

Hey I simply out-mindgamed myself. I was thinking, "Surely he knows that I know that he has Astral, so he won't do it because he knows I'll bait it. So I'll throw wakeup throw him or something." Then you mashed it out. And I died. Edit: And I've seen some people use the threat of wakeup Astral to scare people into retreating or not pressing buttons, then they start their own pressure and win.

Well that's just a callback to the old Street Fighter Ken/Ryu crossup kick, an homage to basically the invention of modern fighting games.

someonewhodied > SWD > someonewhobodied > somescrubwhodied > somescrubwhobodied??? This could get interesting
-
Ragna's 5B is a standing, spinning roundhouse kick -> 8 frames of startup Makoto's 5B is a straight punch -> 9 frames of startup Please justify this Arc Thx Mori

That would be Stay_Free if I'm not mistaken. AKA DJ Daishi...AKA The_Turntablist. I've got people's aliases down pat

Can I spectate this?

Lol GGs again Airk (and randoms). ...and yeah I go for Yolo reads wayyyyyy too much. (But BBSing that Hazama in the face from full screen did feel really good) Edit: Also I was ROBBED in that one match against Nirage. When does Particle Flare's second hit whiff...like ever?
-
Just don't use Makoto. You HAVE to be close if you want to do anything. And whenever you end pressure you're either right in front of him negative or flying towards the corner from Asteroid Vision.
-
*Bait a burst* *Opponent doesn't have a burst* ...in a crowded room ...in a crowded stream room.
-
Lol GGs to everyone. Airk, SWD, Argent, and Nineball. Playing GG has made me free to throws...
-
Then just teach one player that jumping makes you throw invulnerable from frame one and you'll have a nice little game of rock-paper-scissors. Asshole Hakumen loses to Asshole Tager Asshole Tager loses to Jumping Asshole Jumping Asshole loses to Asshole Hakumen...etc.

When they die before you can Astral

GGs to Reyn's room. Never realized how vitally important IAD back was for neutral game.

[CPEX] Makoto Nanaya General Discussion Thread - Now in fullwidth

Woah now I'm really looking forward to getting the frame data on 214D. In this video, Goro does 2A > 214D > 2B (using 214D to fake the overhead and then go into the low). This would only be reasonably possible if 214D has pretty fast recovery. Man now I really want to see how this works after other normals like 5CC since 214D is a special. Hell you might even be able to use it like Tsubaki's charge cancels and straight up reset pressure if you opponent is slow to react. Another weird thing about that video is that 214D doesn't look like it even hits Amane. I thought the move was a strike now. Shouldn't it have caused Amane to show some type of blockstun? -

Hmmmm I've got a question for anyone who can test or answer this. Does j.2C autocorrect if you cross up with it? In other words, if you do a crossup j.2C will j.C still hit afterwards? I haven't seen this done in any videos. -
Treating a video game board like it's some kind of University or business? Stay classy Dustloop. Is it just me, or has Tager literally gotten better with each iteration of the game? Come BBCX Phantasmagoria, Tager is going to be in S tier by himself. Also, has anybody gotten an ODR > Astral yet. I know Makoto has a fast Astral, especially in overdrive (7 frame startup in CP1.1). Now I'll finally have something to do when I get Astral but then get stuck in pressure

[CPEX] Makoto Nanaya Video Thread - "S A D S Q U I R R E L S"
Dark Ranger88 replied to Yazumatto's topic in Makoto Nanaya
The main thing, I think, was her DP. That match was DP city, and Goro didn't know how to punish Tsubaki's DP. Because, I mean really, how many good Tsubaki players do you ever face. I remember testing some things and I think you can anti-air her dive if she tries to use charges to make it safe. However, if she has heat and intends to DP > RC....it is very difficult to stop. Most notably the hitbox on that thing is so huge that IAD back and backdash still get hit. And if you block it, then she can just RC into pressure. -

Lol Well I feels stupid. It all makes sense now. -
I hate it when a stick player plays on my console and changes the button layout to some shit like: A=Triangle B=X C=R1 D=R2 NO MACROS AT ALL Then I go back home and try to play online only to get shit on because my buttons don't work right. And no one EVER believes you when you say your button layout was changed. T_T Fucking stick players amirite? Just use a controller like a normal person.
