As of this post, I still have heard nothing back from pulsr or the rest of the SoCal crew regarding the bbq and CDC (other than what was posted in this thread), so I have come to the conclusion that I will be doing the CDC in SoCal as planned. Get hype folks!

Also, for anyone wondering, that's a grand total of 162 matches! At approximately 3 minutes per match (of actual gameplay) my 14 hour stint had 8.1 Hours of strait gameplay!

1st CDC Results! Wooooooooo! So, overall I have to say that I think this was a great success. Towards the end of the night I really felt like I was playing better than I ever had before. My understanding was that AI opened at about 2pm or so. Pulsr lives in SD, right? Which is 2 hours or so from AI? I figured that most people would want to get to pulsr's place around 2 or so, and spend the day there. If I'm wrong, cool, all the better. That's why I asked for more information and have not received any as of yet.

So I went to SVGL today, because I saw a post by Dacidbro saying he was going to be there around 7ish. He was not. I may have read an old post. ANYway, I'm sitting there doing sparring mode, trying to grind some combos, and I accidentally pick Bang by mistake (always by mistake). Well, I paid for the game so I just went with it for a while. After 2-3 minutes, a couple of guys show up and one of them challenges my bang with his ragna. During that match, his friend was talking about the CDC flyer that was on the cabinet. Specifically, he was saying that "that arakune player is shit" and how much he wished "he could be there to take his money". I, being the gentleman that I am, said nothing. After I lost, I picked arakune. They said no more about the flyer the rest of the night.

True, but how broke I am at the end of the day doesn't matter. What matters is how much xp I gain from doing this, and better people showing up, even if it does end up costing me more, gains me that much more xp.

Head count? Um... *quickly doing complex math counting thingies* .... 10? There were a number of people at fanime who seemed really interested in the CDC, but you never know if those guys. It also probably didn't help my case that I had three separate 20+ win streaks while I was there. Eh, hindsight. In short, I don't really know. Out of the confirmed list I think there are 9 SVGL regulars, and that one hazama guy that showed up to the last ranbat. However, I'm hoping for 30-35 too!

Kou as in Kousaka? I'd love to play against him sometime (and as much of the Canadian crew as possible), but it's kinda difficult for me to make so many trips, especially out of country.
