In other discussion: While I don't doubt King of Heart's statement about Stun Edge YRC one bit, him playing the game in Japan and all...I actually did get mindfucked when I tried Sol in the demo on how easy YRC Gunflame is. The only YRC trick so far that seems nearly as difficult to a FRC based on what I've seen is YRCing Venom's QV so you get the YRC but still get the ball to appear. (too early and the ball won't get summoned, too late and you get red for their blockstun). Early on in training mode videos it seemed difficult, and it's not used in matches featuring strong players...hmmm.

People do/did this with other GG characters. And characters in every other medium. Elphelt and Ramlethal are new characters so people are going to talk about them more. You also see it more because of youtube's prominence now. You think that's bad? I wasn't one at the time, but try playing Arcana Heart when that dropped. Oh wait, really good fighting game players that couldn't care less did regardless of how that game is aesthetically/fanbase/etc. Trust me, what random people say on the internet is the thing I'm least concerned with about with Ramlethal :v

I do empathize with situations like Zinac's. There are quite a few others who are coming in similar situations, but I will let them post for themselves if they want their voice to be heard. Of course you have my support regardless of what happens though.

You do get meter for blocking. Instant blocking will get you even more meter for doing so. Blockstrings can be quite long, character/situation dependent. Some characters are better at raising the guard meter than others. Note that Faultless defense stops the guard meter from rising. Time outs are sometimes a thing. On occasion. Once every now and then, etc.

I don't think this is true. If that was the case, Justice wouldn't have been able to function as a character in AC+R. I myself have spent a majority of several matchups zoning and turtling with Venom, keeping myself mobile, and choosing select spots to go in.

On the topic of best player, Ruu mentioned when he was in America that he thinks the best player right now is Woshige (this was pre new Ogawa content though. He thinks the main thing that puts Woshige as the best is that he has an amazing ground game with Millia on top of everything else.

Although I can't speak for everyone's case, Ruu has said some players are waiting for characters, some don't like YRC, and some aren't playing games anymore. Venom kinda has to pretty much block everyone if they touch him since he has 0 reversal tools, even with meter. Maybe it's in reference to Chipp getting around Venom easier than every other character since the beginning of time though.

I wasn't sure about where that comment regarding Ramlethal was supposed to go because you know google translate. Also I had Mynus take a look at the Venom post (he knows Japanese and I love Venom) and it's as far as he said, Venom/Chipp stuff is not about Venom's advantage over Chipp (I'd fight Ogawa if he said that :P), but Chipp info being that he has lots of "bs" stuff, doesn't have to block, but Chipp's j.hs, as powerful as it is left/right, can be Blitzshielded easily since in the input is 5S+HS
