  2. 90% sure you cannot BS while in blockstun. You definitely can't mash while blocking, because 4S+HS will not get you BS. Also some fun stuff: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v118/sogetsu/misc/diehardgame.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v118/sogetsu/misc/albertochujoslayer.gif (Alberto also has a cape that functions like Slayer)
  3. Shaq is low tier in Shaq-Fu. ;________; So yeah, let's actually discuss tier lists instead of the concept of tier lists. Pichy covered Axl's descent well, but how about Chipp's rise in the two recent top player tier lists? He's generally been a character relatively strong everywhere except health/defense and damage output. Some of the mixups he has are insane (off the wall and invisible stuff), and teleport YRC is just adds to an already amazing neutral game. I was tempted to call him S based on observations, but I figured it might have been my bias as a Venom (Venom's worst matchup is often Chipp). Hmmm.
  4. The thing is, tier lists matter at comparable levels of play. And the ones you're going to see on the internet from top players apply to the higher levels of play. Why do you need to know the characters of which mediocre players are doing better? What difference does that make? How do you determine who is or isn't a top player to calculate into that? How do you exclude their specific games? What would be the actual point? Do people care what character Jane Doe is winning with against John Doe?
  5. Venom was the worst (bottom 3-5 at best) in AC+R already. If anything, going from +R->Xrd, Venom is relatively buffed. Venom has also never been higher than B/B+ in an endgame tier list to my knowledge. AC was probably the best overall incarnation, and although he got lots of stuff to play around with in +R, he lost things that made him solid (worse anti-air, worse damage, and with no bounce on 6hs also means less time to set up). Xrd is a return it seems to a more #R Venom in a few ways, but he has enough big and interesting changes (new formations, j.D, mechanics) that Xrd Venom is just...Xrd Venom.

  7. You'll have to check your local scene (don't know Texas too well for GG), but there are thriving scenes all over the US for AC+R right now.
  8. This is different than the AC port situation. I'd say BB is probably closer to look at it if possible in terms of how the companies are viewing this game. Also, AkSys was not involved in AC port/+R.
  9. As of now, I am 99.99% sure 12/31 is not legit and is a placeholder.
  10. Double posting for more BB and GG news: Aksys has thrown an extra $500 for BBCP, making BBCP total $1500! Meanwhile, the stakes for GG have been increased as well. GG will now have a $500 pot bonus!
  11. Recent Announcement: "THIS IS INSANE Aksys Games & Metaversal Studios are contributing $1000 to the BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma pot! This contribution is sponsored by BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma and by BlazBlue: Battle Cards, coming this year from Alliance Digital Media, Metaversal Studios, Arc System Works, and Aksys Games! http://youtu.be/wild0tl_2b8"
  12. The current plan is AC+R as a main event, Xrd as a side of some kind.
  13. Bedman is plenty Metal. Really starting to get annoyed with more of this talk about who fits or doesn't fits. Can't we agree GG has a diverse cast of characters and leave it at that?
  14. Tournaments are always in the events section. Sessions I post here.
  15. Links to stream archives?
  16. Find him or a friend of his on twitter and ask them. They'd know better than any of us.
  17. Haven't tested, but when doing j.2D stuff, be quick since most can just 5a to hit it. Also, should you expect them do that, it actually gives you time to approach.
  18. Oh guys, can we please stop talking about who is and isn't gay in this thread about Guilty Gear (unless it involves Venom I suppose? But it doesn't)
  19. How can you speculate this character's tier when you can't even read the names on her movelist, let alone seen the character play, or actually develop...or anything?
  20. You can also save as, then open in Word for instance to the JP text.

  22. Depending on what you count, Mu was story/unlock so that's, CP had Kagura as that, plus Terumi as the first print, Kokonoe as pure paid. Sin is the same way (as is Mu-12 before him). 150 yen or grind unlock. No one will actually be surprised if there's more characters. If you can actually tell us who it is, feel free to wave your e-peen around then.
  23. It's not like ASW has EVER had exactly 3 DLC characters in a game. Never ever. Not BBCP, not P4U2, so certainly not Xrd. Right?
  24. Sounds like c.S is worse as an anti-air. CH 5HS stagger is still pretty short (sounds like it's best to just go into whatever you planned on doing on normal hit regardless.) 2P has jump cancel. Dead Angle wallbounces in corner? 5P and 5K gatling into 6hs Speculated: Ball attack level down from 3 to 1? I asked Ruu on twitter and he said that Ball level seems level 3. Formation pictures are there and labeled. I'll add them soon. QV: Slight disadvantage on block? P version has different range than the others? Ball generated lasts longer. Teleport now goes to newest ball generated rather than old? Hellfire doesn't affect Dark Angel much.
  25. Venom Japanese Wiki. Anyone who knows Japanese can help enormously here. If I find anything interesting via Google Translate, I'll post. http://seesaawiki.jp/w/ggxx_matome/d/Xrd%20%a5%f4%a5%a7%a5%ce%a5%e0%20TOP
