I don't think that makes a huge difference. You can see when the marks are setup and adapt and play it accordingly. That said, I wouldn't use the term lopsided at all to describe the matchup, or any matchup where it's 6-4, regardless of who has the advantage. AC+R was probably about even.

Venom can wait for an opportunity, then stinger, which I believe hits the chains no matter which was used. Stinger YRC should do it anyway, and if he has a ball next to him, it's free.

Not taking a side BUT It's not about whether it's too hard for a new comer or not, but what the new comer perceives the difficulty to be. GG has a REPUTATION of difficulty associated with FRCs.

They have delayed wakeup special moves but all characters wake up at different times and also depending facing face up or down. Wiki system data has the details.

I'm noticing Bishop Run Out getting used a bit more. Mostly used to close out rounds. Usually Stinger will be done right afterward. The rebound from Bishop will then go upward (similar to doing 214P, 5P, D Stinger in AC+R) and because the Bishop hits the Stinger Ball on the way back, that ball goes downard. This creates a lot of space control (and of course you still have a super ball).

He's not more like AC Venom, but rather a buffed Reload Venom. Definitely better than AC+R, damage is more in line with the rest of the cast. New j.D looks incredible, QV is pretty cool. He can do some pretty unique things with YRC (regarding using it on summons, teleport) New Stinger/Carcass mechanics are a mixed bag. They've done good things, especially with his teleport getting buffed back pre AC+R, but there are some situations where shooting the extra ball would be good. Yeah the meterless corner carry on standing opponents is pretty damn good. Bishop Runout is starting to see some use with Stinger. New formations have a lot of similar applications, but there's some cute new things you can do. Placing a 1 ball setup behind Venom is...different... He may get worse as people get better with neutral and reversal blitz shield. His execution is generally easier (no more 6k, no more 6hs carcass), but it seems that some tricky charge tricks with c.S(1), Carcass are more applicable. That said, he still has 0 reversals and gets mauled badly. Not sure how 6p is looking this particular game as an anti-air... From what I can tell from earlier tweets, Fino may be planning on quitting Venom for Ramlethal btw. We'll see.

Venom was really strong in AC. He did not get better in AC+R. In a nutshell: His 6P reverting back to it's old version (as well as the gatlings that came from it) is a big nerf for his anti-air and rewards off of it. His 6hs no longer groundbouncing also plays a part both in reducing his damage in a lot of situations, as well as the reward that came with it (extra balls and more time for setups). Overall, his damage and neutral are nerfed, and his buffs just play to his strengths rather than compensating for anything.
