  1. Neutral tech as soon as you hit the floor? If he's juggling you with it and you can tech, you can punish with jD or j.236D.
  2. You mean Super right? His AH is still the same. As for jC hit fishing, that's pretty much the safe way to play Jin atm it seems. He's pretty much a new character. jB blows compared to CT jB, and that being one of his main offensive tools really hurts all the offensive CT Jin mainers. Hopefully buppa comes up with something soon.
  3. You know, you can like, kindly ask them to test out some stuff (and tips even) and forfeiting by default at the end. Not everyone's out there to bite ass.

    CS at Mike Z's!

Thanks a lot for having us over last night Mike. I know it was lame of me to barely play but yesterday just wasn't my day . I'll make sure to play tons if I ever come across you guys again.
  5. Looks like Tager will be the subject of old CT bnbs, lol. From what little I played today (or yesterday), yes, 5C jB does work, along with CH 236C -> 5C. Timing is stricter, but possible.
  6. I'm pretty sure it's impossible. 5C has less vertical hitbox now it seems, and doesn't have as fast a startup as 5B. Even 66 5B timing is strict; the tech time after CH 623C is much less than CT. jC virtually has no vertical hitbox (well it does, but very very little). jC j2C jC j2C doesn't seem to work for me the last I played (second jC whiffs); you'd need to gain some extra air for the second jC to hit by doing jC j2C dj j2C jC instead. So that seems to be the staple so far. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone. I've only done one sitting so far and my memory can be hazy sometimes. My turn for a question: after jC j2C dj j2C jC jD freeze, is there enough time to delay and use C ice car for knockdown?
  7. Just came back from AI... the cab is good, for those who still worry about lag. No lag I noticed. The 2P is a bit messed up though. Dashing left on it is hard. Sucks my friend had to play on it all day.
  8. To those who have went to AI, how many people were at the CS cab? And what day/time did you go? I'm thinking about going tomorrow with a friend.
  9. No decent Ragna would follow up on a blocked Hell's Fang. And if he does, he'll probably RC it and bait your attempt at counter. Back dashing against ID doesn't work; it's still active after Jin's backdash animation and has enough reach to hit you afterwards. 623C is extremely unsafe and should only be used on overly offensive people on wakeup or during IBs in block strings.
  10. How so? What has changed? Sorry if pozerwolf or whoever else already mentioned it here in this thread, because for the life of me I can't find anything on it.
  11. Input lag. I've heard from a friend and several other people that the BB cabinet there had input lag. When you last played on that cab, did it have any?
  12. To anyone that goes to AI soon, please tell if the BBCS cabinet has the laggy Samsung display. That 'The Ride' cabinet used to house laggy BB...
  13. Haven't seen any yet, but I'd suggest keep checking on Amazon's price. They recently bumped the price down to $100 the other day, then back to $130 a couple hours later. If you're in the West Coast, Fry's has them for $100. Everywhere else I know atm has them for $130+. If you're in the San Diego area, someone in ebay is selling them new for $100 each with local pickup only, but advantage is no tax. It's whom I got my TE from back then.
  14. If you're serious, just go all the way with a TE. It's a no brainer. A modded SE costs the same if not more than a TE (not including time and labor), whilst u lack the heftiness, build quality, and modding options (plexis are a big attraction) of a TE. I started with an SE, then modded it to full Sanwa, then changed the art, and ended up wanting a TE in the end. My SE is currently a loaner stick. When you hold the two, there's just no comparison. On paper, sure, both are Sanwa, but you can tell when you feel it that the TE is serious business build quality wise compared to the SE. Only good thing I can think of a Sanwa'd SE is that it's more portable, so it's good if you're always on the go or for tournaments. But I dunno, I just feel that I can drop kick an SE and shatter it to pieces whereas a TE would shatter my toes. Spend a ton now, or spend little by little and yearn for the better one later on and end up spending more. That's my take.
  15. The Hori? No. Soldered Hori buttons. Hori buttons are mushy. Hori licensed sticks are always soldered.
  16. Hitstun lessens overtime throughout a combo. Mash jB harder.
  17. Some characters require more delay than others. Tager requires none, Ragna require's some, and Noel requires a bit more than Ragna. Just practice delaying it to the last possible moment so you can apply it to any character with the exception of Rachel and Bang (though hypocritically, I lay back against Tager's and jD asap).
  18. I see. I wasn't near a console to clarify. Thanks for clearing that up.
  19. If too far for 3C, just B ice car or EX ice car in corner. Anyone know how bad the proration will be for 5B 5C 214D ->combo will be? Should at least deal at least 3.5k and give you good options afterwards methinks...
  20. Delay j.D a bit. And only 214B/D are your safe options. C ice car has too much startup iirc.
  21. I think new jB is kinda like Ragna's jC now. Slow startup, good for meaty IAD (it's still meaty right? Only change was less horizontal hitbox?), but with better hitbox (it's more like a forward-down sweep). jC seems to hit forward only, and j.2C hits up and down, so I think jB is a compromise of startup time for hitbox. Less hitstun than Ragna jC though. Can it cancel to j.2C on IAD?
  22. That's true, but I think with 5A/2A mashing, it's harder to bait out ID. Well, that's what I try to do anyway. Mashing to infinity will make him IB ID, and varying will make him try to ID in between the delays. Though, in those delays, you can bait and just block and punish ID instead, or try pushing another string of 5A/2A on the bet that he doesn't ID. I guess it depends on the ID timing of the Ragna you're playing. How I play, I try to bait ID through jump cancel barrier 5B or 5C.
  23. Does C fireball still shoot two projectiles? I don't think I saw any vids of any Jins using it yet. And 5C looks purty good. Overall, he looks more badass in his combos than ever, and I can imagine doing them would be more gratifying.
  24. Be careful with this though. Vary your timings and don't mash 5A/2A because he'll get the timing down, IB, and ID you.
  25. Herm, this should be in the matchmaking forum.
