  1. I'm down if you can give me a ride
  2. We've pretty much landed on a stable schedule for GGA events, the second friday of the month will be the Xrd monthly and the last friday of the month will be Under night. For right now Nitro+ will run opposite Xrd and BB will run opposite Under night. Weeks that aren't monthlies are casuals for whatever game. since we're back to streaming every week we'll also do something on all the off weeks (free entry round robin/kumite/FT10/whatever) which will be streamed as the "marque match-up" The info for March monthlies (BubbleGhost Crisis and BubbleGhost Crisis chicago 2040) is Xrd/Nitro+ on the 11th, and Uni/BB on the 25th. For April there's 5 fridays, so we're planning on doing xrd on 4/15 and Uni on 4/29. We will probably do something stupid for april fool's day, we're not sure what yet but I wanted to mention it now so you all know I'm serious if I announce something for 4/1 later.
  3. Due to the GGA renovations taking longer than predicted, and since we really want to run Blazblue, we're changing the format of the monthlies. Instead of having Uni and Xrd at each one we're going to have two tournaments per-month, one with Xrd and one with Uni/BB. At the Xrd monthly Zinac is going to be bringing a build of his game fearless night. We wont be streaming fearless but it's a really good game so come and play it. For February the dates for Galloping Ghost the animation episode 3: Galloping Girl Ghostena will be 2/12 with Xrd and fearless night. Part 2: Galloping Girl Ghostena -Again- will be on 2/26 with Under night and BlazBlue. We should be able to run through brackets faster with this schedule, so tournaments will start ~ 9 PM rather than 8. Casuals for any game are of course always welcomed regardless of what game's being run.
  4. You can bring a setup if you want but we should have more than enough Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  5. The December GGA monthly is set for friday the 18th. Under Night and Xrd tournaments, BB if space gets cleared. Venue opens at 6, Under night will start ~8 PM, Xrd will start afterwards. If you have questions leave them here or ask me on twitter.
  6. There's usually some xrd and bb at gga, if you can make it to ignite the xrd crowd there is usually bigger. Shinsyn also sometimes hosts xrd casuals at his place
  7. I'm in the east side of Tucson for thanksgiving and I'd like to play in the monthly, but I don't know that I can get a ride. Is anyone here around that area who could give me a lift?
  8. In ST 22x is invun for azhi after he goes underground but he can be hit before he hides I think.
  9. Papupipu showed up in a video recently and dominated. His streak starts here (9:62) and keeps going through the entirety of part 3, and doesn't end until near the end of part 4. Some of the players are kinda low rip, but a few are high ranked with their character.
  10. There was a round robin recently where shimazaki bodied a bunch of people https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnd4VgPk0ic#t=02m55s 2:55 vs Hyde ([D NECO]) 7:23 vs Nanase (Nakazawa) 13:53 vs Akatsuki (Notsu) 19:52 vs Byakuya (Nedji) These are, of course, all on the google doc
  11. So GGA is currently undergoing renovations, construction started sooner than expected, hence the cancellation of the monthly, but the temp venue has been finished and since we ended up missing october we're moving the november monthly up to friday the 13th. In honor of the spooky date (and since the old name no longer makes sense) we're calling it "Galloping Ghost Stories". Because the new temp venue is smaller and has less space and less set-ups, we're not going to be able to do any tournaments beyond the main 2 (Under Night and Xrd). There should still be a little space for casuals, but I'm going to ask that no one bring a console unless I get in contact with them since space will be so limited (If you have a console that has most/all the big anime games and you're willing to bring it let me know via private message or twitter or something). Tournament will start at 8 (whichever game gets less entreats will start first) TLDR: November monthly set for the 13th, venue opens at 6, tournament starts at 8. Uni and Xrd. Here's the new pre-reg page : https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1oepNvKhuUg-_JCcbkh5u4bibFjd82oodTBjzNHA572Q/viewform?usp=send_form
  12. Since a lot of old links on DL are broken following the forum move, I made this doc which has the same info as the OP, but with working links, and links to some resources that have pop'd up since the thread started. I'm keeping it so that only I can edit because I don't want it to get messed with, but if you want me to add something yell at me here or on twitter. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VtgB8dsVNtrRtvbIoThUzy2tuy_Wwm_zut9f8GR7des/edit?usp=sharing On an unrelated note, a chaos throw combo finally got recorded! (He also plays a bunch more matches in the video, there's links to all of them on the video doc) The set-up he does is max range 5bb>22a>run up throw. If they mash out they can hit chaos, but it looks like it was outside the range of a lot of carmine buttons (he'd probably have to 5b, I imagine c normals would be too slow) and you can always do a delayed 2C/5C instead of 22a to frame trap. Throw>22x does 2.2 (in vorpal, basic damage is ~2k) by itself, the combo he did does 2.8(2.5 basic) but he could have done more with a different combo (shimazaki's combo doc lists a throw combo that does 2.7 w/o vorpal that's basically this, but with a 623b.) I think the player here wasn't sure if azhi had regenerated moves since the last time he used 623b so he played it safe. He also could have spent meter to up the damage either with an EX ender or an xvo, but he probably wanted to save the meter for next round.
  13. We're starting the first in what is hopefully a series of monthlies at GGA! On the last friday of this month (October 30th) we'll be running what he're calling the season premiere of Galloping Ghost: The Animation s1e1 "The Odd Essence of Otakutober" Official games to be run right now are just Under Night and Xrd, but if you'd like to play other games (+R? DFC? Arcana? Rivals? Trap Gunner?) just let me know here or on twitter or in in the google forum below and I'll see it. If there's a big enough demand/turnout we're open to running a few more games. And you are of course always welcome to bring your own set-up and run a side tournament or some casuals. Venue fee will be $5 as normal, tournaments will be $5 entry with payouts to top x depending on how big the bracket gets (I can give more concrete numbers once we have a better idea of what the turnout will be like). Exact times for tournament start/end are TBD for now, but expect it to be around the same time the normal time stuff starts at casuals (IE ~8/9) I've set up a google forum for people to put down what games they want to play. It's not necessary but it'll help us figure out what turnout will be like. Also if you fill this out and end up being a little late, we can keep you in the bracket and hold your matches a bit since we'll know you're on your way and we'll know what games you wanted to play. You can also use the forum to tell us to run something that isn't under night/xrd. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1PgJUtsmttu3TxQMMkuIVP7PgNF8kR_UCH5QcFKzHT1g/viewform?usp=send_form If you don't know where GGA is or how to get there remember that the first post is kept updated with info on casuals locations, but here it is again anyway Galloping Ghost Arcade Address: 9415 Ogden Ave, Brookfield, IL 60513 Accessible via Aurora METRA, Stop is on Brookfield (1/3 Mile away from the venue) Also just so no one gets confused, I want to mention that this isn't a part of Ignite's Xrd ranbats and isn't a continuation of the ranbats we had at GGA last year, so it's not going to have an affect on those standings and those standings aren't going to affect this tournament
  14. They uploaded videos from a stream they did a few days ago, mostly it's matches but they also showed off what they have so far of oleander and paprika
  15. He did pretty well despite the low win rate. I feel really bad for him too, he would have won be messed up an IWEXS input .
  16. new video of chaos(tofu) vs carmine (バルダム)
  17. They added some more pledge tiers and some stretch goals which will add mac/linux and a goat character who has wall walking abilities and her magic is some kinda high speed movement. They also mentioned how the beta will work if they get green lit. Basically everyone at 15 and up will get a steam code, and everyone at 40 and up will get into a backer-only beta. So if you backed at a low price point you might want to up it.
  18. RC88 (the game's composer) put some full tracks on his youtube Main theme Velvet's theme Edit: new character (it's some kinda dragon horse? sounds like it's a high mobility rushdown character, maybe a fly mode?) and a green light campaign. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/them-s-fightin-herds#/updates
  19. Shimazaki made an evernote about chaos unist combos. I might try transcribing the notation in english to a google doc when I'm less sleepy, but I don't actually speak Japanese, so his notes are pretty much all lost on me. But in any event 2.7k meterless midscreen and 3k with a bar off throw sounds cool. (I think he then goes on to say it gets a bit more damaging with a harder pick-up). (I like, half translated it https://docs.google.com/document/d/1x-Gq73EEXtkwNx5b7xhcTbXus8her0vQO_hAIq5mqmI/edit?usp=sharing )
  20. The indiegogo is live. Gameplay details revealed for Paprika (alpaca), Oleander (unicorn), and Pom (sheep) Paprika has good movement and randomized attacks (probably a-la faust/plat) Oleander reads her book to get more moves (as in straight up new moves apparently, like Shun Di, not powered up versions of specials like HOS) Pom is a puppet character who has a pack of puppies. The 6th character hasn't been revealed, might be the boss? mane6 says they'll reveal details soon. oh, and it has ASW style lobbies Edit: I missed it but they explain the combo poration. That green bar isn't undizzy, it's a juggle decay bar. Sounds like progressive gravity from guilty gear/HNK (but without basketball combos probably) but the progressive gravity only kicks in after that bar is filled.
  21. Judging from the change in hitsparks, it looks like the green bar under health is SG style undizzy, although they never bursted so maybe not. I hope it's not. Edit: They said on tumblr the green bar is related to combo length but isn't harsh, so it's possibly a mechanic different than undizzy.
  22. New character teased, evidently a lamb https://pbs.twimg.com/media/COqui-6UAAAACFG.png:large Looks like s/he has a squad, possibly for assists/puppet stuff.
  23. Hey we start up under night weekys again but people keep not showing up to gga. As soon as we start get enough people we can start running brackets
  24. Since we don't have a dedicated forum for the character I put together this google doc ( https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16aZgvQxQzJA_ES9Nvf7pO2wFj4Z5f7vh-IUv_Sb04B0/edit?usp=sharing ) to serve as a match videos archive, all the links are to youtube, every player who has a name in game has had it translated, players who had joke names have had their "real" names put in instead (To the best of my abilities) I also included the names in kana incase you want to try seaching nico or something for them. I'm only including UNiST videos, I think I got all of the ones that have been posted in this topic (including links that broke when dustloop transitioned to the new layout). I enabled editing so if I missed anything you can post it yourself, if you don't know who a player is don't worry about it, just post the link. Hopefully no one vandalizes it. There's also some videos on there that I don't think got posted here, mostly matches involving desumo. They're kind of old so you may have seen them but whatever Desumo vs taico_ (vatista) Desumo vs Ma-Kun (phonon) minomushi vs mit (vatista)
  25. There are two more characters that have been teased but not shown in full or given names yet. One is some kind of unicorn (some people think a goat of some kind) that has a book one is an alpaca (the one on the far left, the other two are the ones in the trailer). People assume that the designs from fighting is magic are being ported over to fightin' herds (can we all agree on calling it TFH instead to sound less stupid?) so probably 6 characters at launch. I'm sure there'll be more info when the crowdfund campaign starts. If you watch the trailer you can see that there's health with Vsav style regen, super meter, magic meter which seems to be basically the same as the old fighting is magic magic system, and some kind of third meter underneath the healthbar that looks like some kind of stun or Skullgirls style undizzy. I wanna say I remember an interview/twitter conversation where they said they didn't want the game to play too much like skullgirls so maybe not? IDK I can't find that interview/tweet anywhere though so maybe I made it up.
