Kokonoe actually isnt in 1.0, her first version is 1.01 console 1.0 is arcade plus terumi and kagura

as long as there's interest I'll run a P4AU or BBCP 1.0 side tournament. If people want BBCP 1.1 for some weird reason I guess it's possible, but I'd need someone to bring a set-up

The big game right now is undernight

GGA can handle 3 games, let's just do XRD at both for a while since it's new. The primary consideration should be where the players show up. We get people at GGA who come mostly for P4AU like pearlyfey and leudenberg who can't make it to ignite. If XRD is getting ranbats at ignite then we should probably not have it in 2v2 rotation. But we'll have to see how that all turns out.
-
I know Brightside and Yosh really like it, A lot of other people seem to have fun but aren't too serious. I'm thinking maybe we should run 2v2s for games that don't get attention at gga. So if we keep running UNiB and persona at GGA and add XRD then at ignite we do 2v2s for +r and DFC (also maybe arcana for rotation?). UNiB and persona don't really need 2 tournaments a week. Of the options listed I'm cool with anything that isn't option 3 or involves 3 tournaments. I'd rather let +R live though because #WhensBridget?

for both venues they stay open till 2AM, a lot of people leave early, but there's usually a few who stick around. Shinsyn also occasionally hosts guilty gear meetups on weekends, so you might want to talk to him about that Anyway, Nani Sore aquapazza side tournament results 1) Crimefighter (Manaka&Octavia) 2) Duckator (Chizuru&Rina) 3) Bunnies from hell* (Karulau&Satsuki) 4) CTY (Sasara&ma-ryan) 5) Fabama (Touka&Rina) 6) Wilfooooooooooon(Touka&Rina) *Bunnies from hell had to DQ himself while in winners finals
-
I'll go as long as I get a ride. Also people should let me know if they would enter an aquapazza side tournament at nani. Cause I wanna run one.
-
I just noticed my twitter and youtube aren't on the first posttwitter: @a_crimefighter youtube: Andrew Crimefighter Also my DFC character will probably never not be akira if we're adding those
-
Also matches in both winners and losers were played with those wrong results.
-
I don't have the full bracket, but top 3 from last gga's unib was 1)Bunnies from hell (akatsuki) 2)Crimefighter (chaos/gordeau) 3)Magnets (eltnum) p4au bracket got fucked up, I forget how we recorded results, but it makes no sense. I think we listed 2 players as tying for second.
-
Since we have ranbats at gga maybe we should just rotate 1 game at ignite and use the rest of the time for casuals?

Yuzu shuts down a lot of chaos's tools, you cant really roll in neutral vs her and her sword zones out chaos really easily. If you can get azhi close you can threaten to whiff punish her, if she tries to run away from him you can tag her with 236a/b. If you can start pressure on her its really hard for yuzu to get out since her only reversals are veil off and infinite worth. Vs vatista make sure to shield j.c it'll stop her from canceling into her overhead. 6cing her fireballs is good, but watch out for laser. When doing frame traps try to figure out when they have a flash kick charged, it can make it easier to bait. Eltnum has amazing air normals and an air grab so shes really hard to air to air. Also her overhead cant be hit by chaos's crouching normals, so 5b it or something. Also gunshot is mad fast, watch out.

Wald's arms aren't hittable until he attacks with them (a lot of sword characters in other games work like this), so you need to keep that in mind when zoning him out. His 360a range is pretty bad actually, and while 360b has massive range, it's always a gold grab, so remember to watch out for that and tech it if wald decides to just do it. If wald is trying to do jump charge C, shielding it will still leave wald plus so it's better to try and air-to-air him. J.b would be a great normal to use, but in my experience it loses more often than wins, so you probably wanna settle for j.a. Wald isn't so scary once you start pressuring him, just keep the command grab in mind. You can bait it out with assault really easily, or with 66b/5bb if you wanna get fancy (they have throw invun for a bit, it's weird and hard to actually use, but it looks cool)If you look back through the thread you'll probably find some set-up and combo stuff. Or you could just keep asking. Also if you tweet at me I'll respond because I have literally nothing better to do than talk about UNiB.

Not a lot of people came out to GGA this week, but we still had a full bracket for UNiB and even managed to run an Aquapazza tournament because good games are fun! If I messed up anyone's characters let me know and I'll fix it Under Night In-Birth EXE Late (8 entries) 1. Bunnies From Hell (Wald) 2. Wilfooooo (Gord) 3. Chaos's Ass Demon (AKA Crimefighter) (Chaos/Gord) 4. Fabama (Gord) 5. Callisto (Nanase) 5. Moonyblues (Eltnum) 7. Wiredgod (Wald) 7. Lagaard (Wald) Persona 4 Arena Ultimax/Persona 4 arena the Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold 1. "They call me Chris Brown 'cause I beat up waifus" (AKA Crimefighter) 2. Fabama 3. Wiredgod 4. Bunnies From Hell (Adachi)/S. 5. Moonyblues 5. Lagaard Aquapazza: Aquaplus Dream Match 1. Bunnies From Hell (Karulau + Satsuki/Rina / Konomi + Ma-Ryan) 2. "They call me Stephen King, 'cause I make you afraid of books" (AKA Crimefighter) (Manaka + Rathty) 3. Wilfooooo (Touka + Rina) 4. Moonyblues (Tamaki + Uthury) 5. Fabama (Touka + Rina) 5. Wiredgod (Sasara + Rathty) ALSO I will be running a random games tournament at ignite this week starting sometime before the 2v2s. 20 possible games including anime favorites like Arcana, Aquapazza, and Chaos Code as well as old school "classics" like Tekken 2 and Guilty Gear 1. Roll dice to determine your game, full game list here (http://pastebin.com/bi6Kp7qM) (list is subject to change, also some games have non-obvious rules and character/stage bans. Ask me anytime here or on twitter if you have questions.)

Don't misunderstand, the poncho is great. I just wish there were more ponchos.
-
There don't seem to be any consistent rules regarding cross-up protection. In general nothing will cross up unless the move is explicitly designed to cross-up like chaos FF, nanasae FF, seth teleport, etc. Sometimes special/super canceling gets around it, but that doesn't always work. Also sheild will block block both directions anyway.
-
You need to cancel it as fast as possible, you can just kind of mash it out honestly. Once you get used to the immediacy it's not really that hard.
-
He's not really a puppet character. The lizard is there mostly to serve as long range pokes. It's more like a persona than something like nirvana. He can either do system mechanic mix-ups or try to use roll/lizard to out footsie people. He can also do tricky stuff with the lizard to extend pressure or bait put a bad button.

I think we watched scrapped princess and tears to tiara and maybe utawarumono back when I ran an anime club. We had a rule against shows based on porn though, so we probably didn't finish them (except scrapped princess, that one was alright and is only tangentially related to porn). I looked up a synopsis of to heart 2 once when I was bored. It just seemed like a normal eroge story. Also it turns out manaka normally just wears a school uniform, not the weird poncho thing she has in aquapazza, so like, what's the point?

in searching for answers to the incredibly arbitrary stuff I happened upon I accidentally found a set-up that baits almost every reversal and cannot be thrown that you can do off of a 2a starter. I'll make a video later, but basically 2a>2a>2b>2c>5cc>jb>jc>j2c>2c>22b*>bc*you need to do the 22b as soon as possible, delaying it at all seems to fuck up everything. The extra pushback from the 2c means the startup on roll happens mostly out of range. But it also means you can't really catch a back tech very well. There's some other silliness. edit: here it is I got lazy and didn't record everything it baits, but it's almost all of them.
-
inputs in ap are weird, they're stricter than something like bb but occasionally I get 623x when I wanted 214x somehow.
-
That's really weird, I guess assault resets your character side or something. What's weirder is that this has really inconsistent results. I recorded the same set-up (first one in the video) you had, but it only worked vs chaos and wald at first. Then I tried again and got one that only worked against gord, seth, and merkava. Then one thqt worked on gord, hilda, orie, hyde, vatista, yuzuriha, and akatsuki. I guess I could just be not timing it properly, but it doesn't look wrong. What's weirdest though is that everyone can walk backwards and prevent it from crossing up, except for merkava, hilda, and vatista. They had some kind of extra animation (they seemed to be able to cancel it into most stuff, just not into walking). Again IDK what correct timing is so maybe this only happens if you screw something up? edit: This(weird character specificity) appears to be the case with all my cross-up set-ups too. Might just be a bug in training mode? It almost seems like the recording gets messed up between character select. More importantly I found that holding shield corrects you guard direction for a little while (Not forever, but long enough). So in theory you can get past all cross-ups by shielding. Opens you up to getting grd brken obviously, but still. edit: Also I can't believe I never noticed, but if you do j.2c>2c>22b>bc it appears to beat most things (including hyde dp and throw)via spacing the only problem with that is it leaves you in a worse position vs back tech.
-
When exactly does the 22b hit occur? How are you getting around cross-up prevention?
