damn can I learn robo sol too? Well since NEC is done I might as well start trying to get used to stick again for GG. Not that I get to play you all that regularly but I dunno who I'd wanna learn. Narrowing it down to characters in Xrd...Chipp??

My pool was da best lol. I lost to A3Religion Johnny and then Brice Potemkin in top 16. My performance in those matches was pretty disgraceful considering how much I got to play Pat and Dan over the past few weeks. My last match felt the worst, I decided to turn my brain off I guess sigh but GG and Magfest sounds pretty awesome and I wanna go. I don't have any room plans yet but I would be able to get there Fri after work then have to leave Sunday. I could reserve a room if that works out for anyone else who hasn't made plans yet. Or is there a room already which has space for me? oh and Eli your trash talking/support during my match with that Baiken cracked me up. I hope he didn't quit the game after that, I felt kinda bad for him

Thanks a ton for the Sol info. I'm curious how Dragon Install in air and ground recovery feels, like are you able to combo into activation then continue off certain starters? Probably wouldn't be too easy to test but either way thanks again for all the info. -

So far all I've seen in vids is Shinden > 5D in corner (looks tight), and corner 214B slide knockdown > 5D which they can delay tech but you would still be able to safejump off that and use 5DD if it's as it used to be. Corner 2C BDC > 5D should still work in combos where they can't airtech after the 2C, but nobody has done it yet that I've seen. air hit CH 2B > 5D should still work, but maybe not as worth it...

It also causes a slide, but for longer(?) so you can combo off it. Knockdown of j.214B is great. Easily convert air hits into knockdown with huge corner carry. I like that 214B knockdown makes the corner throw combo so much less annoying lol

Use this thread to post info and discuss Sol Badguy in Xrd location tests. I will update this post as info comes. Upcoming Loketest Loketest #4: 2/3/2014 - 2/9/2014 General Info As with other characters, Sol seems most similar to his #R iteration. No Sidewinders or Clean Hits. Dustloop is possible. Grand Viper is old style, where it ends with the uppercut. Riot Stamp allows a follow-up combo meterless on normal hit. Bandit Bringer causes ground bounce on hit. Fafnir is in, not cancelable into. Dragon Install can be performed in air. NEW MOVE: Kudakero (j.214K), a dive kick special. NEW MOVE: P.B.B. (within Dragon Install j.623K), Sol performs an airdash into a grab on hit, block-able. Tyrant Rave within Dragon Install creates a giant beam for the 2nd attack, does lots of damage. Kudakero, Riot Stamp within Dragon Install creates a huge explosion. New Dust animation, looks similar to first hit of Tyrant Rave. @ 19:20, corner air hit 214B > 5D looks good. I hear they delay tech it later on, but that could still be good. @ 21:40, 214D > DP add-on, appears to recover too slow to safejump off it. @ 21:42, 236D charge to punish Naoto DP @ 23:04, Shinden > 5D looks tight (he does a decent damage combo into it off 236B here) @ 24:17, yeah they can delay tech the 5D after 214B @ 24:42, 5D appears to hit twice (maybe already known) (youtube version) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsNdcl02vaU

I admit I was being extra salty last night lol. I don't think it's that bad. but the number of black beats was unusual though, whether it was our fault or not. After playing on the smaller monitor then switching to it, it felt slightly different, but it could just be me...

5B on block is backdash cancel-able? That looks good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysDrig4FtOY&t=7m06s he does it again at 7:10, 7:14 with 2C recovery increasing ("2C recovery increased to the point where if it is rolled you can get CH’d") it will probably help a lot. Max range 5B 2C would be worse now because of that, but now we can BDC the 5B for safety. And I bet you can punish rolls after that BDC.

driving up to NEC Friday after work with my friend Tyler from Roanoke, and picking up Matt and Dan on the way, they're all in my room too. We'll get there late Friday night, unless I can somehow get that Friday off. There are plans in the works for single elim teams GG stuff on Sunday it seems.
