UPDATE ON...THINGS! -Would anyone be interested in a proper PvP guide / guide to all things F. Fighter? -Neople finally looking into my hacked account. Maybe I'll get the things back. Woop! -I have a LVL 45 F. Grappler and LVL 20 F. Brawler. Brawler's only existence to get to 50 so I can have Junk Spin assist. -Let's talk about that new Vallacre full screen command grab

A lot of places will usually have a venue fee and a tournament entry fee. The tournament entry fee, for the most part, is to add money to the pool. The venue fee is so that people don't just casually walk in and tear shit up, and also helps pay for a lot of other venue-related finances. You'll have to research it but it should be fine. Good luck!

He dropped her for Venom. He was playing him pretty fundamentally sound too. Didn't use teleports at all though.

He's playing BBCP Terumi. He's a big boy now. He's gotta learn the hard facts of life on his own now... /thread

It's not wrong, I just derped and forgot you can write it like that. Best I can suggest is to add a space after HS to avoid confusion in the future.

*Facepalm* I'm retarded. Disregard my inability to read.

On some of the combo parts (I'm going to use the following chain as an example): SQV > 5P > BH > IAD j.SHSD |> 6HS Is the SD part just a really tight link? I checked the air gatling table and some videos and haven't seen the HSD part. Usually just SHD. EDIT: NEVER MIND I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO READ. NEED MORE INT.

What? Learning combos in BB is much easier because for the most part they all globally work. In GG you have to adjust even your BnBs for height and weight of characters. X2 has no input buffer and Xrd has a very small window for input buffers. It's not only not as forgiving as BB is, there's just more you need to know on a basic level. BB makes combos easier to learn so you can focus on learning the gimmicks and other strategic stuff that makes BB fun and complex to begin with. P4U is like riding a bicycle. It has wheels and you can just about go anywhere but you still have to wear a helmet. BB is like your first car. Like my Audi TT, it's automatic but I still have to learn how to drive it. I can't just keep holding down the pedal, I have to learn to break and parallel park and shit. GG X2 is like a '68 Mustang GT. You gotta learn how to handle that beast and drive stick while Sammy Hagar is blaring out of your radio while you hit 100 on the Autobahn. Xrd is when your dad drags you out of the mustang because you keep grinding the goddamn stick and he has to show you how do it proper. My honest recommendation? Play whatever. The community for all 3 is strong, people will help you teach and learn and for the most part a lot of mechanics are interchangeable between the 3 games. Everyone you ask is going to have a bias. If you get bored after a minute from watching a how to play Faust video though, you may want to stick to P4 or BB.

1) Whatever is comfortable to you 2) To me it is but that's because I'm a goober like that 3) Whatever is comfortable to you 4) Whatever is comfortable to you

Mine is an 8 button layout I use: P K S T H 1 2 D 1 and 2 are blitz and burst macros, but I leave Taunt blank so I don't hit it by accident.

It's a word I use for people who just play whatever is popular, be it characters in a game or following a particular trend. They don't know why, they just do it because it's popular rather than thinking for themselves. I was being cheeky since GG has a reputation of being rather niche compared to a lot of other 2D/anime fighters. In seriousness though, the levels of difficulty for the 3 games tend to be, easiest to hardest, P4 > BB > GG. Just be careful when learning Persona 4, it has a habit of teaching beginners bad habits that they get blown up for in BB or GG.

I never thought I'd see the day where playing Guilty Gear in the FGC would make me a metaslave. I thought that's what Street Fighter is for. I'm going to go drown my sorrows on netplay with a 6-pack of Pabst now.

You live near me, so I can actually physically punch you ;O I'm just going to chalk it up to quick cash grab off the Frieze movie that just released.
-
Pause it and punch you in the face. Struggle to shake your hand and say GG as I eye-murder you. MY MOMMA ALWAYS SAID IF YOU AIN'T GOT SOMETHING NICE TO SAY, DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL so I'd just sit quietly and do nothing. Is Amane good yet? Can I learn him now?

Whatever you're most comfortable with.

Overused I guess he was referring to non-poverty anime? HAHA JOKES ON YOU ALL ANIME IS POVERTY.
-
Sorry. I'm not as up to the date on the BB news. I'll have a snoop around and get back to you.

If you pick Mu and those colors, can that be considered new tech if you blind your opponent so badly with lasers and bad color schemes they can't even play anymore? I thought Nu's OD was the same except Calamity Sword is untechable on the last hit.
-
If we were sitting beside each other playing a game and you chose those colors, I would poke you in the eyeball because at that point I'm fairly certain you don't care about your vision if you don't mind blinding yourself and everyone else around you >;( Kidding aside, what the hell ASW

If you're new to Guilty Gear you'll be watching videos for more than 30 minutes.

They didn't respond to anything yet, i burned through all my money doing Tower of Despair and reinforcing my gear so the hackers just sold my gear to the shop. I was able to luckily repurchase my gear before it disappeared.

PSA Announcement before I go sleep: Consider changing your passwords! There's been a hacking spree because of a security issue. I don't know what the causes, nor am I making assumptions. Lock your important equipment for the time being LEFT ALT + LEFT MOUSE CLICK on it.

I loved the Ass-assins one. OMG I died.

I don't have footage of it, but it's probably in that 6 hour footage on youtube.

King of Fighters 98 UM & 2002 UM: Steam Edition
Hollysmoke replied to Vulcan422's topic in Misc Fighter Central
I have to ask, what is it about this series that gives its reputation of being "difficult"? I played them like a dirty casual but they're so much fun...
