Fair enough. Stage load in doesn't affect me since I replaced my PS3's HDD with a SSD and I have a pretty fast connection. It's usually the other end that's an issue. I wanna see some of the classic stages redone in the new engine.

Why do you hate people?

It's not only that, it's the process of vinyl cutting. Vinyl is the best method of recording music, even in this day and age. It's the best method of preserving a sound as intended because in the transfer to digital, you're still "converting" the audio. This is why vinyl is still sold at speciality stores or online; you get the audio "as-is" if it's well pressed. Some places, such as turntablelab.com, will sell a vinyl as well as a lossless audio rip of the vinyl so you have the means to listen to that level of quality as close as possible if you're just interested in collecting the vinyl, or don't have the means to transfer the audio yourself. The goal is to preserve the sound wave as much as possible in the transfer. To give you an idea, I made this quicky diagram as a comparison of how things usually sound: The White Album is one of the most famous pieces of audio engineering because it was not only preserved quite excellently, but the audio engineer who worked on the vinyls in the 1980s still kept the quality of the audio when it was transferred from mono to stereo, hence why that's the top line reference in terms of quality. That being said, I was curious as to what people think of the quality from a variety of opinions since people have different sound systems. It would cost me $66 + tax + shipping and handling just to buy the CD set so I wanted to know if it was worth it :S

On a scale of 1 to Beatles White Album Remaster, how good is the fidelity/quality?

I ask friends on DLoop when I'm in a learning phase for a character. Sometimes they'll swap to a sub they're learning as well as providing valuable advice from being a vet with experience, sometimes I let them body me with their main because if anything I'll learn that particular match up and have bad habits beaten out of me. Getting bodied is generally part of the first phase of learning though. You can try watching replays of yourself and watch videos of the same match up people posted from high level play. Not only can you see what you're doing wrong, you can see what people are doing wrong from the other side and punish it.

I'm going to take you on Sol's Sight Seeing Tour 2015 next time we play. Fly first class on the Volcanic Viper Airlines, where good customer service is provided with a fist to the face to such exotic locales like magical New York or magical Montreal!

I actually really love Magicapolis. It really showed creative use of the new game engine, it's really pretty, and it's clean enough that it doesn't interfere with the fight. Nightmare Theater is cool as shit, but the big screen can be a bit distracting to some people. Babylon in 5 Years has this arctic vibe that's really nice too, reminds me a bit of what a Northern Canadian city would look like if it was in the GGverse. Maybe also a throwback to hype dog?

Spitfire is all about aerial combat and use of traps and grenades. Mechanic is the most fun subclass IMO. It's basically Robotmancy and plays differently than the other 3 classes.

Far from it, and amazingly we just got about 4-5 years of content over Nexon's mess. They've been patching a lot of security stuff and dropping the hammer on hackers and gold sellers first and foremost. We're still going to get second awakenings, more classes (Knight, Female Slayer), and dungeons and stuff. PvP is still fun. We've been doing King of Fighter-style 3v3 teams. Maybe I'll record some matches later and upload them. There's a lot to do now and it's fun. I just rolled a low-level Monk named ADRIAAAAAAAAAAANNNN!!! (Yes it must be shouted out) I can level with you in the 15~ ish range. My Mechanic and Necromancer is mid-30s and my Striker is 60. I got something for everyone :D

There was a closed alpha test a while back, now they changed it from a closed beta test to 2 phases of open beta instead of going closed then open. The event is to simply play the game and get rewarded for it. There's going to be a raffle with bug reports that were legitimate bug reports to be used as entry tickets.

When they split the servers to East and West, people who played before the open beta had all the characters they made placed on both servers. Odds are it'll be the same.

Run as administrator. New version of DFO requires it now. For some reason the anti-security software thinks you're running hacks if you don't. I'm fairly certain its a bug. I had the same issue.

Can anyone give me a quick rundown on gameplay/style changes basically? It seems like certain characters like Kokonoe got retooled. I haven't been following the news much lately.

There are no diagonal inputs, but you can change the inputs for individual moves. Moves that are down forward are, in spirit QCF inputs. If you want, you can use a pad. Just run Xpadder and plug in your controller if its a XBOX 360 controller or install Motioninjoy PS3 drivers and set it to Xinput then use Xpadder. If you use an ability's command instead of hotkey, it doesn't have to be on your hotkey bar. If you go to your skills, you can change their input to whatever you feel comfortable with. Also join guild if you're looking for people to play.

I just spent 5 tokens carrying 3 M. Gunners in Ultimate Ghent. As a F. Striker, what the hell?
