Arakune ruins the game for me, those two are kinda annoying but aren't any worse than Teddie..... which is pretty bad. Bayonetta 2 for WII U is the dumbest thing I could have imagined happening to the title, I'd rather not have it at all than have it be a complete shit-fest, hopefully it pulls a RE4 and gets an updated port to a REAL console eventually. John I really hope you can make it, I wanna grind out the Kanji and Mitsuru matchups as much as possible before the next Hazbats, I got pretty messed up by Kanji tonight and I realized it's something I haven't really played against yet that's definitely going to be a big problem. I got some info on the UAT stuff, it looks like we have a room every Saturday opposite the Hazbats so if we can get a big enough turnout there we can do the Danisen thing that Justin was talking about before. As for next week, if this Friday doesn't turn out to be a disaster then I'll probably be fine doing it again next Friday, but I might have already made plans so I'll have to see if I can not-bring-it-up-and-hope-they-forget-about-them within the next week.

I'm surprised this thread isn't seeing any action, IMO this is one of the hardest (if not THE hardest) next to Yu match-ups. You can't stay away from him for too long or else he'll gain momentum on you in a heartbeat, and you can't approach him easily. He can throw out moves more"non-chalantly" than Yu to try and guess where you're coming from and not be in a bad situation because of it. The only things I can really try to do is jump outside of his bat range for a little bit and choose an ambiguous time to try to airdash in such that he can't react for a 2B in time, and try to 2B him out of the air yourself unless he's too close, else he'll be in your face. Honestly it feels like the Yu matchup but you have much less space to move around in. Oh and god forbid you double jump over his head.

So I watched the match vids for the HazBats Grand Finals, seriously Justin, I already knew you lost but I couldn't help thinking that you were going to win. As dildos as that matchup definitely is, combined with the fact that you have so little Teddie experience you handled that really well. That damn Teddie 2B has great coverage and his crossup potenial is up there. I like how you blocked the crossup AoA once and instant blocked it, although I'm sure the instant block was just a late reaction to the fact that the damn move was going to crossup, still looked pro. My question though is, could you R-action between Teddies sweep and the fish that comes out? I know it's not airtight blockstun and he's in the sweep animation until the fish is done hitting you, just wondering if maybe that was a tool you could utilize to make Teddies stop sweeping you in a blockstring.

If nobody else is doing a big persona gathering this Friday I'll have people over to my hairy (and as of tonight completely shitty smelling) house. Well, I'm just saying what I've read from other players and how people have seen the Japs handle the matchup. The major problem is that unless Aigis scores some kind of really positive situation, Orgia isn't going to get her anywhere against Mitsuru because 5a 2b and other things that I don't know the inputs for keep Aigis out really well, and she can't rely too heavily on rockets or else she'll get ice whipped out of the startup. None of Aigis's normals can compare to Mitsuru, and since her zoning tools have more startup/recovery than other characters it's really dangerous because if Mitsuru gets a good read then it's lights out for that poor android. A lot of these reasons are also why she has a hard time against Teddie and Yu as well, except Yu can't punish the long range stuff too easily, so it's not that bad in that regard. The only reason why Aigis's matchup isn't much better than a 5.5 against Mitsuru is solely because players are getting better at being able to keep Aigis out and not letting her have that positive > oki situation that she tries to work for. Again, this is mainly what I've been reading on DL, MM, and other random links I've found through perusing match vids n shit that are rough translations of J-BBS posts, but I can kinda understand how it feels after playing these matchups, I can't say the same for Mitsuru because I've literally only played against her once, but I want to practice it more, and what I've read makes sense.

I think the Mitsuru/Aigis matchup is only like 5.5 in Aigis's favor, mainly because Aigis has to play such a heavy zoning game against her.

I actually felt like Marvin's Teddie was more consistent than brkrdvs, mainly because he didn't mis-space his crossups and 5B/C's much. Is Mitsuru one of Teddie's even/bad matchups?

Anyone know of a good Youtube channel or other archive of recent Japanese match vids for this game? Pretty much everything on Youtube that I can find is almost a year old pre-patch and SBO 2012 wasn't nearly enough material. There are some mechanics in this game that really get me killed and I want to see how top players actually handle the neutral game/play offensive. Also is there any tier list for the game as of late? I can pretty much take a guess at what it looks like from what I saw at SBO, but I'm still curious. Lastly, is there any other informative source for the game besides DL and Mizuumi wiki? There's so much more I'd like to know that I can't find. I'm going to try and hop online on this game every so often and hope to find an American room :DD
