Excellent. Hey, has anyone else noticed a MASSIVE momentum boost when doing 236p from a dash? Like, he rockets, or seems to, to me. I'll have a buncha matches of me and some friends up. Didn't get any matches against the really good CO players, but these should work enough to help me learn how to play. At least v the Baiken and Slayer. Look for a thread with them in the next couple days.

Odd, CO seems to think that Faust does well against Slayer, since he can zone him all day long. Why would Millia be bad for him?

Hey, vs Zappa, keep in mind that he naturally ducks under fS, can run under the scalpel pull/other command throw, and generally runs under everything ever, even bag throw. If he even THINKS of trying to mix you up, do your stupid 2k. It'll hit him whether he's behind you, in front, whatever. Auto-turnarounds, hits when it doesn't... That move is too good v Zappa. Who is Faust's worst match-up, btw? My friend plays Faust, but since I play Zappa, I kind of duck under everything ever, so he doesn't use moves he should v every other character. I want to play whoever gives him a hard time to help him improve faster. Unless it's Eddie/I-No/someone who takes equal dedication. I still main Zappa, and he takes a LOT of time to practice as is. Still, anything to help him improve. I figure if he can beast his worse match-ups, he won't have to worry too much. :D

I can't do the 6hs, [236s>k (dash in) 6hs] loop, for some reason. I always mess up on the 6hs. I dunno if I'm dashing too early, hitting too late, or what. I normally just stick with something like knockdown 236s>k, jS, jH, 214s, then RC if I can, follow, 214s spam. jHS, (land) jP, jS, jHS, (land) SJ jk, jS, jHS, 214S has got to be my favourite combo right now, though.

j.K has good range, and can beat Faust's j.2k, if you know what you're doing. Dunno what to do after the CH, though.

I still can't quite wrap my mind around JI, or how it even works. Like, it just confuses the hell outta me. I like Zappa on stick more because the pad feels too congested for my tastes. Especially when I have the dog. It's all mental, really.

Good to know. Zappa is WAAAAAAAAAY easier to play on stick, in my opinion. Especially the dog.

I've almost finished compiling the combos from the Zappa tutorials. Some of them are going to be inaccurate, either due to my still somewhat limited technical prowess, or just not understanding how they work. All the same, there are some damn good combos in there.

lmfao, I wasn't that kid. I couldn't hadoken to save my life back in the day. I was all about the charge moves. Gogo Sonic Boom and Psycho everything.

Any really damaging or flashy loop you can suggest? I got the 2k cs fs down in like... 2 minutes, and I'm looking to expand my horizons. I really like the unblockable instant Raoh corner set-up, but it seems impractical, and is really hard for me to do right now.

So, I'm having a lot of trouble doing the Dog corner loop. 6p/5k, c/fS, 2S, 5D, 2HS, 2k, 66, 5k etc ends up ending either on the second 5k, or right after, somewhere around the fS/2HS. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

I actually got it during a match against a Slayer. Too good.
