Since there are no Match up threads for Axl I figure I would throw in my 2 cents on this match up. Match Up 6-4 in favor of Axl Key's to the Match Spacing, Spacing, Spacing Try to stay mid range during the whole match. A good distance to stay in is just inside j.S range. j.S and c.HS are the go to pokes in this match. The reason for this is they hit twice and break Pot's dash move. With proper spacing you have a lot of options for c.HS (written below) c.HS, Dust, Air Combo (corner carry) c.HS, Sickle Flash 8, c.HS 3P frame traps can really frustrate Pot players but its risk reward. What to do if Pot gets in. It will be hard to keep out Pot 100% of the time. Eventually he'll get in one way or another. What do you do to bring it back? Here are a few options I use. Burst, Sparrowhawk Artemis Hunter, RC, Sparrowhawk This match up isn't a cake walk but it's not as hard as others. Just remember to Punish every jump in, keep that spacing tight, and play the poke, counter poke game. This is my first match up write up but I hope this helps.

I was playing as Slayer during my crazy long losing streak. I finally gave up trying to rock my old main from my Reload days and went to my old Secondary Axl. With Axl I play much better. If your looking to get a fight stick the PS4 there are very few options. MadCatz TE2 $200 (Good Luck getting one as they sell out in seconds) Hori Rap 4 $150-180 with another 40-80 bucks in Shipping since its not sold in the US Hori Blaz Blue Stick $75-105 with 40-80 bucks in shipping since it to will not be sold in the US

Just been playing Lobbies. I never back down from good players. So during a 4 day period lets just say if my playing is a 4 out of 10. I was playing against' 7's. While during that time I did take rounds or come very close to taking rounds. The only thing that sucks is I'm a really solid player on Stick. Sadly I'm stuck using a PS4 pad until companies start making sticks under 100 bucks.

My losing streak is still going but I switched my main and I'm doing so MUCH better. Went back to my old main from my reload days (Axl). Now every match is a crazy close game. Only thing holding me back is execution which will come with time.

The reason people use Pad over the Thumbstick is mostly preference. I've never known anyone to actually use the thumbstick tho me and my friends first consoles were the sega so thumbsticks weren't a thing. I assume that people who grew up on the PS1..ect might be more inclined to use the thumbstick tho.

Yea that's what it's been like for me. I'll either make a room or join a room and there will be that one person that no one beats. Even tho I haven't won a single game in 4 days I will say that I'm getting a lot better. Most of the matches are close they just get the last pixel in the end. I will say however it truly sucks when you "fight" a guy that just perfects you or near perfects you every single time.

Thanks for the tips everyone. Right now I'm using the DS4 which is the hardest Dpad I've ever had to use. I was thinking about openers and was wondering if maybe c.S since it looks like you could go into c.S, 5S, 5H, Task S As for training I went ahead and printed off the combo page and will work on the meterless combos first. My execution is garbage so that will be a solid week or 2 before I can get all those combos down to memory. For the Air Dashing yea I think I might be holding the second 8 which is for some reason making it a third 8. So I'll have to work on that a ton so in a match I wont be super double jumping every time I want to Air Dash forward..ect Really appreciate all the tips. Also since several people here are rocking pad. Anyone know when the MK10 pad is coming out? I've always done really well with saturn style pad's since I'm old school. I think thats why the DS4 is giving me so many problems with the Pad is basically half hidden which is really messing me up.

I have a really nub question(s) about Bedman but I really want to main him so hopefully I can get a few answers :D 1. I'm on pad and will be for a awhile. I've been trying to get used to how Bedman Air Dashes I seem to get a random third up when I'm not hitting it. I mean I guess I'm hitting up since its registering but it's odd since I don't feel I'm hitting it. Any tips on this would be great from other Pad Players. 2. When starting a match is it better to back dash as Bedman? What do vet's of Bedman prefer to use as a starter? This is a huge thing for me but the where do I start has always been an issue for me. Should I just focus on Training mode for the next week or so putting combo's into muscle memory or should I just get a basic feel and jump in online? Usually I just jump in and fight real players but for GG that really hasn't worked out for me. I guess I'm just looking for some solid advice on where to start to get a solid foundation before jumping online. Thanks for the help ^ ^V

Yea I remember having partners like that. Lets see so far 4 days straight no wins 5 hours a day.
-
Mine is currently 120 and counting. 120 straight games with zero wins not even a round win. So whats your highest, longest, most brutal losing streak?
-
Anyone here know how to get in on any of the characters. I'm currently rocking 120 losing streak. No matter what I do I just get combo'd straight into death in around 20 seconds. My personal bane is Sin just seems like no matter what move I use I just die to him.

I know its not that hard I've been playing on Pad since my old Sega Gen days. I've had no problems with pads until the I started using the PS4's DS4. This thread is to figure out if other people are having the same problems and to see if other players who have had problems with the DS4 have found ways around it. So far the consensus is people using the DS4 have switched to Ano Stick. Just a quick side note Since almost all my fight games have been played on pad I've never had any problems hitting huge combos or simple CCB,CCF..ect until the DS4.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I've been away due to being super sick so I wasn't able to check this thread for a bit. I agree that the DS4 pad is doing some thing wrong with the inputs. I'm super used to the 360 pad and had zero issues with it. I just hope they release a fight pad for the PS4 that exposes the whole dpad. I've tried the Analog stick but its super hard to use for Fight Games but I'll give it another shot. My biggest problem with the Ano Stick was hitting the PS Home button a ton of times when going for faster direction inputs. I saw the MK10 fightpad I think it could be really good if the Ano Stick has a very short throw. In of the day I might just buy an older (Cheaper) ps3 stick and dual mod it. That or give up on being competitive at GG and wait for a some one to make a $60-100 stick or a real fight pad for the PS4. Time will tell. I still love this game. At the moment I like playing Leo,Faust, and Slayer.

So I just got a ps4 for xmas which is awesome. I finally get to play my favorite fighting game of all time GG. The problem I'm having is I'm on pad. There's no way to buy an arcade stick atm(funds just aren't there) Anyway the problem I'm having is I just can't seem to Jump Cancel, hit combos consistently, or really find ways into gattling combos. When I do online I generally get called a scrub or people just stop playing me because I'm to free. Does anyone know of any tips for Dpad execution. I'm pretty solid on stick but again 200 bucks for a stick is just out of the question right now. I've seen people that are really solid on pad and was wondering if anyone here thats solid on pad could toss some tips my way. I know I'll prolly get links to the hori stick since its 150 or so but even thats to high of a price when you factor in the 50-70 bucks you gotta pay for shipping from JP sites. Anyway all tips would be very much appreciated.

Dunno if anyone has linked this video yet. 11min Sol Combo Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5BmoghvwL0

Dunno if this combo is up (still new to reading and understanding combos). While I was practicing Slayer this morning I found this combo. Cross Heel into Slash into Pile Bunker....Does 163 damage Dunno but I think this could be a cool setup with it. 2P.2S.2D>CH.5S.PD Anyway I'm a super beginner but maybe that would work as a setup after getting the knockdown.

I've looked for sticks for the ps4 under 180 but sadly ebay,amazon..ect are all 200+..esp when your having to import a stick for jp.

Now that I have a ps4 I can def see what you mean about the 632146 motion. The D-pad on the ds4 is some thing I've never used before. All my other controllers have the entire Dpad out which feels so much better. I will say I'm still learning the ds4 controller from fighters but for this motion the best I do is this. I move my thumb in a half circle motion much lower than I would on a regular dpad. Even then it's still a bit hard. Again I feel your pain now with the ds4. So many matches lost while learning this controller and I'm sure I'll lose even more. Just as a side note I really wish they would make some ps4 sticks that DONT cost 180+. What ever happened to the small sticks from madcatz that only ran 80.

Arizona "Arcsys Release Dates Give Us Erectile Dysfunction", Thread
APinkBuny replied to Chumaralupa's topic in West Coast
Hi fellow AZ GG players. I just started rocking GG again since I got my ps4 last night. Looking for some practice as I'm super rusty and having to play on pad again. I'm in mesa PSN: Lorogy Add me if you want to play some time :D -
Just picked up the game last nite on ps4. Re getting used to playing on pad PSN Lorogy Phx AZ Character: Chipp

Never had a problem hitting those commands but I've been on pad for fighters my whole life from back in my saga gen days. My tip would be this. Place your whole thumb horizontally over the bottom half of the d-pad (6 3 2 1 4). When going for the motion press forward and roll a half circle back to forward. Dunno if my explanation really helps but thumb position is key for some movements.

Xrd PS3 Performance Issues and Future Tournament Standard?
APinkBuny replied to B.Z.B's topic in Guilty Gear General
Personally I'd say go with current gen systems for tournaments. As it stands now just use the PS3 setup until everyone can get a new stick which works on both PS3 and PS4 for those people who use sticks. So to round it all up. Go with PS4 setups as the standard console for Tournaments once it hits Feb 2015. -

Wow some of these El vids are showing some really sweet stuff. I was kinda worried about how we would go about using the sniper rifle. After seeing this vids it seems that controlling the snipe doesn't look to be to hard. It'll def take some serious practice tho ^ ^ As for the whole ps3 thing. If I remember right they did say that PS3 will run at 720 60fps and the PS4 will run it at 1080 60fps. How well they will run agaisnt each other in an online match? Well thats a wait and see deal right there. I would say and I hope no one takes it the wrong way but PS3 is now old tech so it makes sense that companies are putting the PS4 in the front. Honestly with such a great looking game I'd only play this one on the PS4. I will say I don't own one yet but I plan on picking one up this holiday season. -
