Just got word from the company looks like they ran out before they filled my order. So they offered me the new version pre-order. Trying to work with them about refunding the difference in cost as the Silent ED costs more. I don't see why they wouldn't refund the difference in cost but if they can't I'll just take the full refund and try again.

Has anyone ever ordered a fight stick from Nin Nin? I ordered my Hori 4 silent a week ago and they still haven't shipped it out.

While there aren't any true zonners in the game. This is due to the rushdown nature of the game there are several you may be interested in. However with the term "easy" being a relative term I will list them all and you can try them out to see what feels good for you. Axl Bedman May Ky Faust Ramlethal(Sort of a zonner and sort of not) Venom These are your options for space control.

Is the PS Plus color set only usable on PS4?
APinkBuny replied to balFrog's topic in Guilty Gear General
PS+ colors are for both PS3 and PS4. You will however need to have PS+ to get access to download the colors and to keep the colors. I believe if your just now getting the game you might have missed out on the PS+ colors as they were a limited time thing. -
You hit the nail on the head with Stance. It is a completely worthless move, unless you RC into it after a combo. Here is why it is worthless. 1. Every projectile will hit you out of it. 2. Every input you use to make it go into "x" position can be countered by the same input. Example if you hit low and he/she uses 2K it will knock you out of it. Until they make this move stronger I highly advice you to never use it unless it for a combo. I've seen a lot of Axl players lose a round they were winning because they got knocked down and full combo'd to death as a punish.

@Tsuki Garyuu First I want to say it's great seeing more Axl's :D. Now I'm no expert by any means but I've been leveling up a lot and here are the things I noticed in your videos. Video 1. 2H is not a match starter. Never use it as a Match start. Your match start moves are 3P,5H,6H(If you know they are going to dash back), Micro Dash 5K Use your Meter. In this video's you never use meter. This is a great resource to extend combo's, YRC mistakes, FD, and Blitz Shield. Only use 6K and 2S as AA not pokes when they are on the ground. Stance: Never use stance in a match unless it's a combo ender Tone down your use of j.S Never give back off when you get the knock down. Run into 3P or fS range If your not going to RC combo off Rensen 8 in the corner then use Rensen 2. Mix up your combo ender's with Thunder Shadow and command grab more. Video 2 Better use of Meter. However you need to use more of it. Practice RC combo's and YRC'ing mistakes Oki pressure is better, Keep practicing frame traps Mixup your combo enders. Your still relying to much on Rensen 8 and it's very predictable. Mix it up. Use Command Grab. Your grab does have it's uses and its good to remind your enemy that you have it. Use Dead Angle, Blitz Shield and FD when your getting stuck in the corner. Video 3 Due to the gameplay being similar to Video 2 see video 2 notes for Video 3. Here's a heads up on your use of Stance. In every match where you used it. The other player could have countered it and either won the round or at the very least had a huge chance to turn it around. Never ever use Stance raw. Make sure to use your meter more. You never want to end a round with 100% meter. Practice those combo's, spacing, and frame traps. The most important thing is to have fun. I hope these notes help you out :D I'm sure some one way better than me will go threw the MU's in your vid.

I find that SS is really only useful in certain situations. 1. As a combo ender 2. Person is full screen and is at 10% and is to afraid to attack. 3. Person has no idea what the move is and how to counter it. 4. People trying to stay full screen or almost full screen with number 3 5. People who are jump happy and are also number 3 If however your fighting some one that knows that he/she can counter poke those chains it's a dead move. Personally I love this move it looks cool, feels awesome...ect. The problem is, its almost completely worthless.

Arizona "Arcsys Release Dates Give Us Erectile Dysfunction", Thread
APinkBuny replied to Chumaralupa's topic in West Coast
Are all the Tournies in the Phx area at UAT? It looks like since I take the bus there no way to get back to mesa due to GG being starting at so late. I really want to practice and test my Axl offline. -
Yea I've played against a lot of Venom's. Most times I fight Venom he is playing the rush down version. Rarely will I see the I stay at range and TP to get out of mixup's. So far I can take out most of the TP Venoms. However, with the rush down types its a no go. For me the match up is like this. Rush Down Venom 1-9 TP Venom 4-6 This may be due to the 5F lag games online as I've never found a Venom with a solid connection. When I see that I'm up against a Venom I just say to my self "here's comes the up hill battle" I think this match up will get a lot better if they give us our knock down on Rensen back tho.
-
I'm surprised where they put Axl on this new tier list. While Axl (my main) has a ton of tools to deal with Leo, Pot, and Slayer, I'm shocked to see that he put Axl above Leo. Personally I think Venom is A Tier tho maybe that's due to me playing Axl lol. Either way I agree with most of this new list.

Fight stick recommendations / Converter Help
APinkBuny replied to RisingStars's topic in Guilty Gear General
I was finally able to find and order my fightstick for PS4. Ordered the Hori Rap4 Silent blue version. So if you want/need a stick and don't want to wait till April for Madcatz. Go to Nin-Nin they have the Hori Silent Edition in stock. I ordered mine last night and spent the extra money for 4 day shipping. It only ran me 235 US which is most likely the same price you'll spend on a Madcatz stick but with out the 3-4 month wait time. -
If your looking to see Axl's play this link is the best place to find them. http://keeponrock.in/match/search_form#content From here you can search any character vs character. It's a great resource to see high level Axl play.

Wow thanks for all the notes! Really means a lot and I'll take everything to heart and hit training mode like a mac truck.

Well I figure I would start off the thread with some gameplay I would really like critiqued. This is usually what happens most of the day. I go up against a lot of players that just completely destroy me. I also left the inputs in as I'm on pad and god I hate using a pad to play fighting games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wm2fJziXYyI

This is the Axl Low Video Critique Thread. This thread is made for the purpose of getting better. Feel free to post your game play video's to have them critiqued. Tips on posting. Post Footage of more than one match. This I feel will give people the opportunity to see your habits. Post footage with inputs showing. This will allow people to see where you are struggling. Those critiquing people's game play stay respectful. Calling some one a noob and other such things is not a critique and is not helpful. Please enjoy this thread.

The best place to get this kind of character specific advice is in your character forums. There should be a Video Crit thread post your match or a few matches up and they can assist you.

Button Mashing - What causes it and how to stop it. Causes 1. Speed of the Game. The game whether it be the meta, character speed, or Frames may be to fast for your eyes. 2. Inexperience - Being but into block strings, corner combos, and combos in general that you don't know when to poke out. 3. Brain Shutting Down - During a fighting game you are making decisions. 70% of those decisions are reaction/habbit. 40% are real on the fly decisions. The 40% is where button mashing can accrue do to unfamiliarity. Fixes 1. Speed of the Game - This is a time thing. Given enough time your eyes will adjust to speed. The time it takes to adjust is a person to person thing. However soon enough your eyes will eventually catch up to the speed of the frames. 2. Inexperience - Training mode is the key here. IF you are able to use other characters corner combo's and put them in training mode you can practice poking out of them. This is one of the many reasons training mode is in the game. Learning when to push a button during another persons string is a long and hard road. If you CAN NOT do other characters combos this ok, you can use training mode to and make the other character use his normal's against yours and see which one of your's will beat his. 3. Brain Shutting Down - This is usually and experience thing. This will stop happening once you've fully learned your character. Fully learning a character is a time sink that varies from person to person. You don't need to learn every combo ever found. You just need to learn how to get into the combo's you know. A combo means nothing if you can't learn how to put your self into position to use it. Once this is mastered your 40% will be used to block, counter hit, and start combos. Beard and Butter Combos Standard BnB's are usually easy to use combos that net decent damage. Finding ways into these combo's are where most players have a hard time. Here are tips into combos. 1. Counter Hits - This goes back to training mode where you figure out which of your attacks is a faster poke than the other characters. Counter poking is one of the big ways into BnB's. 2. Chain Combo's - A chain combo is when you link normal attacks. Learning which moves you can do to open up a character is key to landing those BnB's. Figuring out which moves lead into other moves is a HUGE part of any characters game plan. Reaction Time Getting your reaction time up is the hardest part of fighting games. There are ways to increase it and there are ways around it. Here's the thing about reactions. Your eye's see it all, every frame, every move..ect. What is not happening your brain. The eye's see it but your brain can toss it out or will not act fast enough to send a signal to your hand to react. Increasing this process is time. If you put yourself in situations that require fast reaction speeds your brain will eventually catch up. However it will only catch up if your actively playing. Actively Playing I know your thinking but I am playing so I am being active. Your right and your wrong. Actively playing means you are playing the game and thinking the whole time. Every thing you do whether its jumping, hitting a button...ect think about it before you do it. If during a match you say "Damn I can't believe I didn't anti air". Your thinking and you keep thinking. Think before you do every move. Doing this will at first slow you game down a lot. However in around a few weeks your game will be better. Your timing will be better. Your Reactions will be faster. Playing this way is how people can see fast frame moves. The Last thing I will say is this. When it comes to online it's an uphill battle. Lag is the killer of progress. You can be better than a person online but due to lag (Added Frames) you can suck. If you play a character with tight windows (2F) links and you add 3,4,5,9 Frames of Delay you will fail. It's also good that you failed. In a real match at a local or major there is no delay. If you want to get better online is good but only if you find some one with good internet where the delay is under 3frames. Other wise the best place to practice is with real people in your area. I hope this helps. I know this is a really long post but I figure I might be able to help more people with this kinda of set up for your questions.

I've felt your pain. It has taken me just under 200 games of complete *** beatings before I started winning games. Now I am able to run trains on some people. The beatings are well worth it in the end. Here is a list of Def options that might help you. Blitz Shield - H plus any button other than Dust. You'll have to have perfect timing but when you pull it off it completely stuffs an attack. Cost 25% Tension. Faultless Defense. 2 Buttons minus H and Dust. Explained above. Instant Blocking - Pressing block the instant an attack hits. You'll flash white and you recover much faster that normal. You'll also get more Tension from IB. Dead Angle Attack. 2 Buttons plus forward. They are invincible moves that will knock back an opponent and are meant to be game changers. You will need timing to pull these off and they cost 50% Tension. Burst - Explained above. Also there's are really good Tutorial in Xrd just for blocking. I would suggest hitting that up to get your reaction time up. There's a lot of great tutorials in the game and I would suggest to use them. I know they helped me a lot to get back into Guilty Gear. Hope this helps. ^ ^V

The standard config works for all characters minus Zato and maybe May. My personal settings are standard except I unbind taunt and have it set to Blitz Shield buttons. I have seen some people use some crazy button settings for pad but it all goes to what feels right for you. Hope that helps.

Yea once the balls get out it's really hard to work as Axl.

True with Hammer Fall pot can get in if he's within 1 character length. If however you keep Pot in just slightly over 1 character length even by just a hair j.S and c.HS will hit 2x and will be open for a follow up. In the case of I.C.P.M If you time it just right Sparrowhawk High can hit him out of it. Tho the timing is crazy.
