In #R, GF FRC -> BB loops worked on everyone in the corner. Not sure if that's still true in +R, but I imagine the corner should make it easier. And lol at BB getting clean hits on crouching Zappa and Kliff.

I don't believe so. Remember, you can throw someone while they're in a stagger state, and I don't think ending the stagger grants new throw invulnerability. I don't know for sure, though, but I'm pretty sure I've seen people thrown right after staggering out.

Nice, I look forward to it. Also, your link seems to be broken on this page, but the one in the video thread works fine.

[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion
Orrax replied to Shinjin's topic in Guilty Gear General
Wild throw has always been a key part of Sol's game. It did solid damage for a command grab even without dustloop, and with dustloop it was pretty scary. So, it was still very useful. -
I see. Still sounds like it'll be enough, though.

Being "highly effective" with Chie is certainly not a prerequisite for voicing opinions about her. Maybe you'll say something and someone will correct you, but so what? It's not a big deal. It sounds like the best choice for stupid oki with Chie in P4C is to pick S.Chie and do: knockdown -> shadow berserk mode -> all the meteors you want.

Arizona "Arcsys Release Dates Give Us Erectile Dysfunction", Thread

"Dinner plans and hot male hookups" was definitely a popular choice back in the day for a thread title. I'm surprised it didn't take. As for something new, all I can think of right now is "Arizona thread: We're still playing Melty." Yeah, I sent it back today. It'll have to just be a refund though; I ordered it through Amazon and they won't replace it. Thanks for the advice. I've noticed 3B has some clash boxes on it, but yeah, it seems slow. Good to hear 5B is useful, though. Wait, gun as AA? That sounds... pretty hype, actually. I'll have to try that. I don't know much about Reis, but she seems good to me. That might have something to do with getting crushed by H-F Blade's Reis, though. -

I actually checked a video about how to mod it online before buying it and it looked really easy. Literally just like popping stuff out, connecting the new stuff, and then putting it back in. The joystick is supposed to be the same size as a Sanwa JLF, or something like that. But yeah, I'm still thinking it'll probably just be best to send it back. Maybe I'll actually make a commitment to learn stick and buy a decent one at some point?? Who knows. -

Yeah, it's about time for a title change. Where is Dan to provide terrible puns when you need him? And two random things: - I've been messing with F-Sion. She's fun; I will probably give her a try next. It also seems like 5B and 3B might be suitable as AA. Anyone (i.e. Tempered) know if this is the case? - I bought a stick. A really cheap stick that would be good for modding. With some of the most abominable artwork I have ever seen (the All Stars Brawl Stick, to be precise). My reasoning was that I wanted a stick to mess with, it would give me a chance to try out having a stick before committing to something more expensive, and it would be easy to mod if I should decide to later. But there's a problem: It's defective. The up-right and up-left directions aren't read by the stick. It is pretty much unplayable right out of the box. That's what I get for buying a cheap piece of shit, I guess. I've checked online and it sounds like the most likely problem is that a washer is out of place. Sounds fixable, but I don't really know what I'm doing. I'm currently planning on just sending it back and getting a refund. Unless it really is any easy fix, does anyone know? Still, thinking it would probably be best to just send it back and not risk voiding my warranty. -

Plenty of Grave Digger in here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n86uAijyf4U. It's the move where Testament leaps forward and his scythe goes in a circle around him. -

GGs to everyone yesterday, and thanks to Tempered again for hosting. I clearly need to work on my Melty combos more. -

I'll be there, probably sometime after 5. I've been learning C-Seifuku and I want to try her out get blown up in actual matches. -
I wouldn't recommend it. I wouldn't recommend using more than two buttons actually, or using the Dust button at all -- I wouldn't want to get accidental RCs or bursts. I play pad, but I basically do 360s and alternate quickly between pressing S and H.

You can mash through the whole thing -- the window isn't really that small -- but it may result in GV's clean hit not connecting. If you did a raw GV, with no prior moves, mash through the whole thing. If you did a couple of moves before starting GV, stop mashing sooner, like 2nd or 3rd hit. And the mashing seems crazy at first, but once you get used to it, it's not that bad.

Yu apparently lost sweep -> 5D. That's a pretty big nerf, considering that's usually how he sets up his oki. And I guess Yukiko might have gotten a new move and a new super? Not sure yet. -

P4A2: Melty Blood edition. +R is pretty balanced, I think. I still want more untechable time on j.D, though. -

Where'd you hear this? I definitely agree with full screen meteors. 5A +1 is annoying but not game changing. Free Blue Fire oki needs to be tuned down for sure. I personally think the bottom tier needs buffs more than Chie needs nerfs, though (although she obviously needs a few). Also, shadow characters for everyone sounds interesting. Sounds like it would effectively double the cast size. -

Guilty Gear has already stolen all my hype for the month. I'll get hype for P4A2 next month. Also, I hear Yu lost his sweep -> 5D gatling. Kinda funny, if true. I wonder what Chie's nerfs will be. -

GGs. Justice is a weird matchup; I still need to learn how to deal with her toolkit. She's a more complete character than I thought and underestimating her is a quick way to lose. Also, sorry for taking off for a while there. I had agreed to meet a friend for dinner before hand, and then I didn't hear from him until like right after I sat down. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to get any games in with Mehraj as a result -- we'll have to get some games in next time. -

If you're still running into the same problem, you can always try recording yourself. Just make sure you can set up the parameters exactly when you hit replay (i.e. pressing "select" and then hitting record). That'll let you do the exact same combo with spacing and such, and you can toggle settings and replay it and see if anything changes. -

I think it's most likely that you're mistiming the BR in the case of neutral recovery, because that definitely combos if timed right. The timing can get a little tight after Wild Throw into 3 clean hit Sidewinders. Also, you should set the training dummy to tech to either forward or back recovery if you want the fastest possible tech. Neutral tech happens slightly slower. Basically, if the counter went black, the opponent could tech. I think there are a few glitches with this, but I don't know their specifics, unfortunately.
