  1. Are people really doing that? I know it comes with video game territory but it seems really stupidly petty. At least you don't have to babysit 12 year olds on a mic.
  2. I have no trouble finding ranked matches, but to be fair I've only done 13.
  3. Every room I've been in with people playing stylish I've seen people harassing the stylish mode users for using a crutch.
  4. I've invited people before successfully but sometimes it gives them error messages and inviting across platforms doesn't seem to work well either.
  5. I can help you if you have Xrd Sign. I don't have relevator yet.
  6. There aren't a lot of people online. I have to go to New England 1A to find matches and that sucks because I'm on the west coast. If you'd like to play some rounds send a request to my PSN. Same as my username.
  7. I'm North America. I dunno about the patch problem. If you need to you can hit me up when relevator comes out in a couple of months. The computer's only really good to train against to get a handle of getting a handle of combo practice against something that doesn't stand still. Hit confirming.
  8. Sol's as good a character as any so there's no problem there. I'd suggest you get some practice playing against the computer on the hardest difficulty to practice hit confirms and play some online matches against people so you can learn character matchups. You can also observe other Sols to see if they have any tricks and tactics you'd like to use for yourself. And remember that you'll also have to learn defense so seeing what other people throw at you and how to guard against it. If you don't mind some lag you can hit me up for some games my psn's the same as my username here. Unless you're on PC then nevermind.
  9. Guilty Gear will never be the new street fighter or mortal kombat or whatever. It's a highly complex niche game with an extremely high learning curve so much so that the vast majority of people who like and play it regularly, including myself, aren't all that good at it. There's a barrier to entry that prevents people from getting into the game unless they want to put the time in to learn it and many just don't want to do it. It's unsurprising that it gets dismissed because it has such a small fanbase. And it is small. At any given time playing Xrd online has less than 50 people online in the entirety of North America most times of the day. So instead of of expecting visibility or promotion, the fanbase should probably look to getting a better designed game especially when it comes to netplay.
  10. I can play you if you wish. I only do Axl, but at least that would give you someone to practice against.
  11. Yakifufu. My times I'm on are erratic but I'm interested in joining if I'm available.
  12. I've had this issue rarely but I know how it is. Quitting out of lobby to menu and going back in usually helps me but my problem isn't as bad as yours.
  13. Inputs are getting changed with the next patch so I can only hope that will be fixed.
  14. I do all the time. And for me the main difference between online and offline play is that people offline don't say or do things that will get them punched like the people online playing with a mic.
  15. I disagree strongly with 1 and 2. For 1 it's because combos, spacing, etc. only lets you know what you can do in an opportunity. Much of the game is reacting to what your opponent is doing and playing offline doesn't really help. You need to watch others and play against good opponents to know how to open up combo opportunities and take advantage of openings. And for number 2 it's because I feel that just because something you do gets punished doesn't necessarily mean you need to stop doing it, it's because you need to know when to use it and when not to. Just because a wakeup DP gets punished once doesn't mean you should never use it in a match.
  16. I've noticed that the people who play casual games in the lobby are much, much, much better than ones I've seen in the ranked matches. Why is that? I decided to give ranked a shot after feeling I was too bad a player to compete and I've won 15 games in a row, sometimes even getting a perfect on people. I play Axl and I don't even consider myself to be that good...
  17. Fine for me. I played a few matches early this morning and there were not any problems.
  18. Eh, just pick the characters you have fun playing with. Play through arcade or M.O.M mode a few times with different people and see which ones stand out.
  19. I've been running into a lot of Ramlethals in ranked matches lately and I'm at a loss of what to do against the good ones. Between her swords and her up close combos she seems to be able to play well at range or up close. Any advice?
  20. Yakifufu California Axl
  21. Fairly fast. I play Axl and I get rushed down no matter how hard I try. Every single person lately goes for the instant kill after I get stunned and I'm never fast enough at mashing or moving the stick to get out of it, especially when my health is flashing.
  22. You don't learn much from fighting better people than you because half the time they just stun you as quickly as possible and then instant kill you to be done with you. It's really frustrating.
  23. I'm working on getting good at Axl, and it helps watching people play and seeing how they do things differently than me. The problem is that finding another Axl online is rare. I can scour most of North America and Europe at any given time and maybe find 2-3 others online. Anyone here willing to let me watch them play?
  24. I play Axl as my main and what got me over my brickwall was 1) Learning the basic combos in training mode. 2) Learning the basic axl combos on dustloops and youtube. 3) PRACTICING on inputs. 15 minutes a day. I have trouble with overdrives and other inputs under pressure. 4) Watching other Axl players play online. I watch them for how they play differently and what they do well. You learn a lot about what places are good to roman cancel. I went from a scrub to "people actually think I'm a good Axl player" in 2 frustrating weeks.
