Central Fiction Arcade Plot Discussion (spoilers)
MaximusMurkimus replied to Chaoschao222's topic in Zepp Museum
Could it be that it's just some redundant part of her costume? Even thought the bottom part in the sprites were modesty shorts or something. Can't be anything artificial if none of the clones share it. I thought this as much but up close, still kinda creepy. Hopefully the arcade mode will shine some light on exactly who it is we're dealing with here. EDIT: Looking at some other sprites like this one, and it doesn't seem to be ther at all. wtf is going on I wonder. -

Include the Spectacles of Eros, have them break 2 minutes in, and nothing changes. It's the joke ending that writes itself. -

I'm gonna look at it from a joke ending perspective and say that Ragna's the only one she dislikes because she's actually absolutely tsundere for him. All of Saya's clones are fond of Ragna more than they'll admit (besides Nu, anyway) I don't see why that would be any different with the original, death goddess or not. I can see it now; Joke ending: Fatal Four Way between Nu/Noel/Lambda/Saya for Ragna's affection. Plus Rachel and Jin somewhere in there. On another note, I don't see why she would dislike Ragna because he's the only one who could defeat her; Noel aka Mu-12 aka mf'ing Godslayer was getting ready to potentially end her at the end of CP, which is why she had Ragna go berserk in the first place. What I'm more curious about is why she has her likes as "the World". Pretty contradicting from someone who wants most of said world dead or dying. -

Referring to being the template for Lambda/Mu/Nu, most likely. -

Oh, I get it. Supervillain. Puzzles. Treats entire plan like one big one. Metaphors galore. Remember, Izanami from that other game (not mentioning in case of accidental spoilers) was a freaking gas station attendant in her spare time, guess she's not the idle type either way. "Is the sample for Prime Fields after no.10", so.....Murakumo units. Nothing new there then. Calls (for) Ragna? That's odd considering that she's his only apparent dislike. Either it's referring to her fondness for him in CP..... or could it be cries for help in CF? -

http://www.blazblue.jp/cf/ac/character/izanami.html My translator is acting up but: Name: Hades: Izanami Height: Unknown Body weight: Unknown Birthday: Unknown Blood type: Unknown (wouldn't these all be the same as Saya by proxy?) Likes: The world, what an asshole (even if this is a typo, lmao) Dislikes: Ragna The Bloodedge (over Jin? Weird) Hobby: Jigsaw puzzles (lol?) Drive: Exodus Arc Backstory: To all living things, it descended to give an equal death. Is the sister of Ragna and Jin, something something body is the origin of the pods (Murokumo units?), something something 10th Prime Field device, something something has the purpose of creating a Doomsday. And now, that goal is about to be fulfilled. Personality: Is cold, heartless, ruthless (given). For all life, it thinks only about the world as worms rooted in the ground (uhh) for that is the role of Izanami. Sometimes refers to Ragna as "brother". Whether that's the truth is unknown, but it reflects the intention of Saya. Hopefully someone fluent in Japanese will clean this up for me -

Maybe Time Killer was no good on her additionally because it was a no-contact move? But yeah, there has to be a story-related reason why she suddenly is susceptible to regular hits and attacks. Maybe it'll be like Margaret/Elizabeth/Rachel where she doesn't actually get hit but has a barrier that absorbs them. -

Maybe Platinum's existence even simpler than we think; Platinum could be a Chronophantasma of a younger Trinity and we just don't realize it since no one really looks at her that closely. I do find it interesting how Izanami went from teleport-spamming untouchable baddie to someone who could technically be beaten by Taokaka. Maybe Nine does something to her Arsmagus usage that forces her to fight more directly and up close than before. -

She wouldn't have to be a villain, she would just have to be on her side. She'd be tired of being targeted for destruction (giving Terumi/Relius/Izanami reason), said it would be protecting the world initially but instead grew to prefer everyone suffering repeatedly (giving Rachel reason) and it intends to continue rewinding time so that no one would have proper closure (giving everyone else reason). It's been talked about way too long and with too much emphasis to remain unplayable in some form. It could even be a superboss like Take-Mikazuchi. -

That's how she referred to those people in CS, when she was still brainwashed. It might be like in CP where Nu was back to her old tricks, this version of Mu-12 still hasn't faced herself *cue Persona music* -

Guessing no one important gets killed off or anything, then. Maybe IzanamI would be recognized by Naoto as Saya Terumi or something that would screw with the otherwise already unstable BlazBlue continuity. -

All that emphasis on arcade and BlazBlue being in them from that interview makes me think we won't see a console release this year :/ Damnit Mori, you better not hold off on Act 3. -

Was replaying CP's story and something interesting I noticed at the beginning was that Rachel didn't doubt that Ragna could beat the Imperator, only that he might not have the resolve to do it if it means killing Saya. Rachel knows exactly who the Imperator actually was, so why didn't she bother to tell Ragna, who still thought Saya was the one behind everything and was still confused as result? maybe he would've went into "No Noel You Mustn't" mode like he did at the end of CS to stop Mu-12. The same oversight is what had Noel pursuing Hazama during CS, which led to her becoming Mu-12 in the first place. Does Rachel bluff about how much she actually knows, is there some ulterior motive that she's keeping away from Ragna, or does Mori have a load of plot holes in his backyard? Maybe all three? -

I don't think it's quite as ambiguous as that; I remember as early as CS Izanami wanted the A. Unit out of the picture so that people would stop getting revived every time shit gets real. That just makes sense; it's the natural order of things. Maybe it would keep Terumi dead, but at the same time Ragna wouldn't have made it past CT, so it's a double-edged sword. Relius and Terumi though, their actions are a little more blatantly evil. Both want to rule in a new world built in their design, which of course would conflict with each other and Izanami, so it was only a matter of time before they ended up opposing each other. For someone who has seen how awful the world can be, you would think Rachel would be in agreement with them with rebuilding. Who knows, maybe she was on their side at first, then something convinced her otherwise. I wonder if this protection of the unit put her in conflict with any of the hero characters this time around. -

One thing I'm lost about is that wouldn't having the whole world rebuilt be in fact a good thing? Sure, Terumi and Relius wants to create a world with them as rulers and Izanami wants to be forever alone in hers, but surely the situation would be much more preferable to the current one, where a majority of the population have been turned into suitor goop thanks to the Embryo and the rest are in a less than ideal position? Rachel claims to be fond of this world and that's why she's protecting it via the Tsunami Unit, but I feel there's some other ulterior motive going on for her. Unless it cancels out the existence of the entire cast, of course. That wouldn't be preferable. -

Doubt it, Ragna said in Continuum Shift that he had Yukianesa well before the church burned down (at least two years), so Terumi probably had no involvement if he burned down the church the moment he found them. I'm guessing Izanami influenced Saya long before then (She could've told her it was a good idea to give it to Jin or even mind controlled her to do it), but could only fully possess her with the help of Terumi/Relius. -

I always figured when Terumi said he "broke" her before by showing her memories, he only did it enough to let her mental guard down and let Izanami in, just like what he did with Noel. After all, if it worked once before, why not do it the exact same way again? But when you consider that Saya gave Jin his Yukinesca before Terumi even got involved, it makes you wonder why would this be needed if apparently Saya was already cooperative in the first place. Either that means Saya was apparently cooperative before she got possessed (which I don't see happening), or Izanami was already possessing her before the attack at the church (probable). In flashbacks she also didn't seem to resist when Terumi took her along with Jin, so maybe it was just a case of Terumi doing the same mind control to her as he did with Jin. There's certainly some degree of cooperation going on between them, of course (otherwise she wouldn't have felt inclined to approach Ragna in Chapter 1 and offer to join her), but I doubt it's as mutual as it's made out to be. As far as clues that all isn't as well as it seems, Izanami mentions that she still has some things to do before "this vessel is completely mine" while she was in the Boundary in CP, which means that something must not have been working right despite how compatible they are. Even Relius mentioned that things aren't completely stable yet at the beginning of CP, but she didn't seem bothered at the time. Nine's sudden turn to darkness doesn't really seem all that surprising when you consider that Amaterasu is the cause of her father neglecting them over his work and having Celica almost turned into a sacrificial lamb. She's basically tired of being a cog for the Amaterasu Unit and wants to impact the timeline directly. It's only natural that she was ready to kill it on sight when she had the means to, in this case joining Team Izanami. I though about Muchorin as well, and it's certainly possible within the game's established rules, but something tells me that if that was the case, then Trinity wouldn't have attached herself to Jin in CF like she did. Maybe she could take it past its established limitations and give her and Saya physical bodies once more. -

I admit I'd feel a little terrible if Lambda had to take one for the team yet again. I just don't see how he's gonna simultaneously save Saya and stop Izanami. He seems to be the only one who cares (as opposed to Tsubaki, that was a three-person affair) and he's out of arms to sacrifice. Then again, he's 2-0 in saves (save Noel, stop Mu-12/ save Celica, stop Terumi) so maybe he'll figure something out before he faces her. -

She was acting on Nu's memories that time, since she used her soul as a base. Nothing she remembered was likely her own. That being said, Nu's memories are basically just (violent) interpretations of Saya's feelings for Ragna anyway, so maybe Saya is unconsciously aiding Ragna through Lambda/Nu? -

I like the theory someone had where Lambda-11 was brought back so that Saya's conscience could be safely transferred to her, being a blank slate and all. Ragna can kill Izanami with no hesitation. She is basically what Saya would normally look like now, anyway. -

I wonder how CF's gonna address whether or not Ragna is still trying to save Saya. He hesitated hard at the end of CP and it ended up costing him, but in this one he seemed determined to "end this", but it's kinda ambiguous as to what he means by that. Matter of fact, is Rachel the only one that realizes that it's Izanami now? Ragna and Jin seemed oblivious throughout CP, and Noel only had that one interaction with her in the anime, where seeing her caused her to freak out. -

I'm guessing there's something much worse out there like Nine mentioned that threatens even Izanami's existence, so everyone ceases fire and decides to take it on. That way she's not out of the picture after act 2, in the arcades at least. -
