Central Fiction Arcade Plot Discussion (spoilers)
MaximusMurkimus replied to Chaoschao222's topic in Zepp Museum
I thought that could've been the real Saya inside Amaterasu as well, but that would be weird since Izanami is actively trying to destroy it, something that's probably redundant if you're already possessing her. That ending where Ragna runs her through with the sword, BTW. Whose ending was that from? -

Lmao, Izanami is literally acting like a Shadow self from Persona Before I go any further with how crappy Ragna's predicament is, remember that Act 2 is called "Nightmare Memory". This is probably Ragna's worst fear ever at this point, so maybe all isn't as it seems. Maybe it's a warning/sign to not go this route and find another way instead? Oh, who am I kidding. Ragna committing suicide is the happiest way his story can end right now. -

Looks like Izanami has no tolerance for TRAITORS. *cue lightsaber battle* Well either that or her Kagura are REALLY fond of foreplay >_> -

What I find interesting is that Saya T. is only told to have been taken by Relius and Valknhayn when Naoto asks. Several years later before CT (Relius really is a cool grandpa, isn't he), he helps Izanami possess Saya's body. Maybe they kept both Sayas in stasis until there could be a body swap? The anime shows that Izanami apparently woke from a deep sleep prior to carrying out her plans (in a coffin, appropriately). Wtf does Valk know about this whole thing that he's keeping quiet? -

Like I said, bare minimum of 100-125 years or so. XBlaze was 150 years before Calamity Trigger and Mei existed in both Bloodedge Experience and XBlaze, so it had to have been around that time. -

Mei also sent a letter to Naoto in B.E. saying that they couldn't lock Saya anyway any longer, nor kill her. Mei's an Azure shrine maiden, of course she would know the goddess of death isn't killable. She could've been getting progressively more adjusted to Saya T. during those 5 years of being locked up, so the moment she was let out, she went to Naoto and he got rekt. It would also explain why her and Rachel have history; Saya T. and Raquel fought each other before and Rachel looks just like her, might even be related to Raquel. Damnit Mori, hope I'm not writing the story for you this very minute. -

Nah, I was saying that Izanami could've possessed Saya T. during/prior to Bloodedge Experience, which would explain why she has the same red eyes/purple hair/lust for death between herself and BlazBlue's Saya. At the very least, she could've been influencing her to rip out Naoto's eyes. "Wanna save your family? No problem, just find your brother (I hate brothers) and give him a NICE DEATH :P" Yuki T. mentioned in CP he showed Saya/Izanami memories and that's what broke B.B. Saya and allowed her to be possessed. What if those memories were of her past existence as Saya T., when she wiped out her whole clan by accident? Can't think of anything else that would be nearly as traumatizing. -

But then he doing that thing again where he takes characters/plot devices from an otherwise innocent side-story/spinoff and makes them canon and of major importance in the story, much to the dismay of the non-Japanese reading fanbase. Izanami does seem to be pretty legit in her goddess claims, though. My guess is that she possessed Saya Terumi when she was young and that explains their resemblance/murderous tendencies. But considering that Saya Terumi/Naoto were around at the same time as Mei Amanohokosaka (placing Bloodedge Experience at least 100+ years prior to BlazBlue), why did Izanami wait so long to swap bodies, and in such a way (kidnap, mind rape)? Great, I think I just shot down my own hypothesis -

Doesn't it also technically refers to Nu, since she runs the risk of "triggering" the Black Beast inside her/Ragna every time Ragna failed? -

Could be the titular Central Fiction, and the same "truths" that Nine apparently saw. But yeah, if a death goddess if giving you something that's apparently capable of being even worse than her then I'm drawing blanks too as to what it is. -

So Naoto basically confirmed that Saya Terumi and Izanami aren't the same person? There has to be an explanation to the resemblance, then. And if what Zedar's saying about Amaterasu is true (in this case Murakumo being the sword and not Mu/Nu/Lambda), then Amaterasu-Es is definitely the Act 3 boss. Freaking called it -

Calling it right now. Saya Terumi will be a separate character from Izanami and fight with a sword instead, fulfilling the same appearance /different character role like Mu-12/Izayoi. -

Whoops, read a translated version that called it or her Astral Soul Eater somewhere >_> Either way I think both Sayas were possessed by the same entity, hence the similar appearance. But Naoto's sister had a much different goal than Izanami, so not sure how to explain that. -

Shit is getting so real now and I love it, but I gotta devil's advocate why I think it's unlikely for Saya Terumi to be the same as Ragna's sister/Izanami. -Their fighting styles are very different (big-ass katana vs. magic and crazy high kicks) -All three siblings apparently have grew and aged the same time while Naoto first met Saya when they were already teens. -Her special ability is Soul Eater..... O_o wait a minute. what was Izanami's Exceed Accel called? OH SHIT But yeah, looks like Ragna is gonna have competition even for reclaiming his sister; guy will never catch a break. -

Seeing as how she only did that when she was trying to get him to join her and she rather kill him at this point, I'd say it's actually Saya. It could be like when Tsubaki was Izayoi and she was pleading with Jin to stop her. Alternatively she's telling Ragna to go easy because she's still inside and she doesn't want him to accidentally kill her. -

So I'm taking a closer look at some of the sprites on the trailer and it looks like those "doll joints" are actually connected to some pattern on her back; looks like some sort of elaborate tattoo, with a blue circle right in the center. Then again my eyes are kinda garbage and the video quality is low, so maybe people see something different. Going off of standard boss character protocol, I'm guessing that's some sort of weak spot. -

So as a "Destroyer", Ragna is breaking the chain of events that are slowly degrading the world thanks to timeline shenanigans, got it. I do wonder how does Rachel expect the world to heal after Chronophantasma; loads of people just turned into seithr, the Embryo ready to rek whoever is still around. Really, Doomsday sounds less like it's name if the idea is to rebuild the world with a few select people safe from the effects. Sure, it's not morally the best way about doing it, but there's not much left of a world to preserve at this point, ya know? -

You already have her showing her "true" form in her Exceed Accel with the skeletons and the slasher smile and all that jazz, maybe they're not trying to go full Persona with their influences after all. I was gonna initially pass it off as Mori going "lol get it because Saya is being puppeteered like a doll" but there's usually some rhyme and reason with the designs, especially of major characters. Maybe she isn't 100% in control like she thought she would (There had to be have been only a few days between Relius going "yeah it might be a while before it's stable") and that's a sign to hint at it. Still think the part on her legs is just flesh-colored shorts or something, though. Maybe we're really just looking too far into this; especially when it doesn't seem to be consistent with all her sprites/artwork. -

Okay, breaking this down and it doesn't seem as confusing as the game presents it (because the game does like to make you figure things out constantly) Destroyer of the World= Black Beast. Ragna has the potential to turn into this, and most people realize this. Rachel says the world is sick with order. In this case, the "order" she mentioned could easily be the NOL. Not the organization itself, but the people who run it (Terumi/Relius/Izanami) and the Cauldrons that they produce, hence his journey in CT and CS. Protector of the Azure= This one is a little more tricky, but if the Azure Grimore he has allows him to tap into the true power of the Azure via Idea Engine while Terumi tried and failed, then he is in fact the best person to protect it from those would use it for destructive purposes, hence the Protector title. I don't see Jubei being as intentionally vague as Rachel or Kokonoe, so that must mean that the meaning of these phrases is a lot more literal than we think. -

Someone asked this on TV Tropes, and the answer was more simple than I thought. If any of our siblings decided to go "that's it, I'm starting Doomsday" and get a suitable evil costume swap, chances are you'd look at them and wonder what character are they cosplaying. I don't see how Ragna or Jin would be any different. She also had the same VA as Noel in the original CS, which would've been the biggest hint. As for the Murakumos, there's differently some physical variations between them, but Noel and Lambda are pretty similar in features while Nu is short and has creepy pale skin. They didn't have to be perfect clones as much as they were good weapons, but in Noel's case, she just happened to be both, so there's certainly some correlation between how identical they are to Saya and how successful they were as experiments. Lambda could've been identical to Noel if she was raised as a girl, too.
