K, so what are plans for Summer Jam? I won't be able to stay into Sunday because I have a triathalon in the morning at 7:30. I'll be getting a room Friday into Saturday. Who wants in? I will be capping the number of people allowed in the room, and there will be no casuals past 10 PM since I will need sleep. Also, since I won't be there Sunday I won't be running anything Sunday, so someone else can take the reigns on that. Does NY plan to come down?

I'll be in Japan for two weeks this September, and I'm not sure how to go about planning... I want to visit a few friends in Tokyo and Nagoya while I'm over there, as well as go to SBO. Any advice on where to go and how to plan before hand? I've never traveled outside of the US before (except to Canada for a day) so I'm not sure what I should be expecting. Any advice? I also want to get some games in with you Mike (and some drinks), if it's not too much trouble.

Thanks everyone for coming out. Without players showing up, tournaments are complete shit, so thanks for holding it down and dealing with brackets, laggy TV's, and smelly nerds. Joe/John: You guys are fucking amazing. I'm going to list all the godlike things you did, one by one, and explain why this event was so amazing. 1). You gave us enough room to have casual setups and tournament setups going at the same time. The anime community will always bring enough setups to be self-sufficient, so all you guys needed to do was provide us with 3-4 tables. Thanks again. 2). You bent over backwards to give us a stream. This makes the tournament 20x more fun when people can get on the mic and just talk shit. You respcted us as players and gave our community something to watch instead of just the same-old MvC3/SF4/MK9... Thank you guys so much for helping us out here. 3). You bought an abundance of power strips and extensions. This made setting up a breeze. Every tournament needs to do this. Seriously. 4). You came around and asked if everything was running well and if we needed anything. Even though we never needed anything, this showed that you guys cared about what was going on. It shows a lot about your character. 5). Things didn't end at 1AM Monday morning. I actually got home at a decent hour to wake up the next morning for work. 6). You let me commentate a Marvel match. I had too much fun this tournament. I actually got to play some casuals too. If you guys ever need anything at all from me, at all, for the next ECT don't be afraid to ask. You guys ran one of the best events I've been to in a while. I'm sure with a couple more tweaks you could make this the best major in the US... and I'm not joking. Almost everything started on time, and that's enough to make me happy as a TO. Once again, thanks for letting me help out. It was a pleasure. If you guys come to Summer Jam I'll treat you both to some Rita's. Biscuits: Thanks for getting John and Joe to let us run brackets this year. In all honesty I didn't want anything to do with this tournament after what had happened last year (stupid DQ's, running late, setup problems, etc...). But you can't control who wins and who loses... or how many people show up who play pad on each system. Don't try to please everyone, some things will be out of your control. If you were gonna try to get around this by floating the brackets, please think differently... floating is just about the gayest thing ever, and has the potential to cause double jeopardy early in the brackets. Henry only has 3 PS3's? Why can't we supply ones with the DLC already downloaded and save him time and money? If he has 3 PS3's and we bring 2, that's 5 fucking systems on HD monitors... we'd be done with BB in like 2 hours. Best tournament ever?

Teams AFAIK. Everything is teams for the most part. You should bring it just in case. DaiAndOh, you need to fix the first post: 1). This should not be a dual console tourney. Terrible idea. Make it either PS3 or 360. Also, Make sure we have enough consoles with DLC/Mu. 2). You have "loser can change character" under GG teams.
