We actually started it early but there was a long period where there weren't any matches being played and I was hitting some snags with the Melty Blood tournament so I was preoccupied. So as soon as Guilty Gear went off stream, everyone stopped thinking about it for some reason. I was kind of expecting some backup support but yeah it didn't happen and I should've been more on top of things so it was my bad last month one stream was fine

Hi, I'd like to sincerely apologize to everyone for how the Guilty and Melty tournaments turned out and how late they ended up running. I didn't expect to be running the brackets for both games and in hindsight, I should have taken a more proactive stance about things and it was my bad. It also didn't help that we were doing a new thing for both of them, random 2on2s for GGAC and round robin pools to double elim top 4 for MBAA but my intention was for everyone to have fun, be able to play more than they normally would, and get more people to enter when they normally wouldn't. For those who entered GGAC random teams, what did you guys think? Fun? Like/dislike? If it were run more smoothly, would you like it if we did it again? If yes, how often in comparison to singles? The GGAC team tournament was double-elim, "SBO" Waseda style (Player A vs. Player A, B vs. B, A vs. B if the score is 1-1). Just to get some discussion started, here are some pros and cons I thought of... Pros: [+] Statistically gives a character who has a bad matchup more of a chance to win, more matches played means less of a chance of winning [+] Appeals to newbies or tourny-shy players as they may have a chance to win now or get further than 0-2 Cons: [-] One match is strict! Technically can result in less tournament games played despite possibly getting further than 0-2 [-] A tournament match now requires four players to be present instead of two which is problematic when people enter multiple tournaments! If you have any feedback, comments, constructive criticism, please post! As for Melty Blood, I will be brainstorming and discussing with my fellow peers. Again, my sincere apologies for how things turned out m(__)m

For those who don't know, we've been running round robin for Melty Blood for several tournaments now as our #s have been low. So for anyone who might be interested in entering but don't want to pay $5 to just go out in 2 matches, you should know that in a round robin, you'll get to play much more than two matches. If you're worried about playing too many matches and time constraints, rest assured, we have a plan for that too. If we get over 10 or 11 entrants, we will run two round robin pools instead and the best two of each pool will advance to a double elimination bracket which will essentially be the top 4 of the tournament and should be streamed. I also have another idea to get more entrants for Melty but I'll wait until Current Code comes out to explain! (that's in December btw!)

Well we used to stream NCI on ipw... Also you just dropped the word ranbat meaning that haunts would like to make GG a regular thing...? Or just the old people thing I guess... Anyways I am undecided for now

i liked how gg and mb was done by around 8ish and i had already eaten dinner and i was free to do whatever the fuck i wanted to but in retrospect i should have just taken the caltrain home and gotten some solid rest i think the lack of sleep weakened me too much and now i'm on the verge of coming down with something -_-

running a tournament is hard when nothing goes as planned ie... btw all of i'm listing here has more or less actually happened people not wanting to play on myung's sticks @super nci catherine stealing the show people always stealing the setups to play casuals people being hard to find, going off without telling TOs etc making sure you do matches in the right order so you keep the brackets running smoothly make sure you actually seed people correctly (someone fucked up once) knowing how brackets work in case you lose them on the computer (tsubasa david is pro at this) knowing when a round-robin or pool-play tournament would be better (sort of happens i guess) the more you know

not that it matters but is nci really capcom free cause that is silly lol we pull out st, vsav, 3s, cvs2, or something random at almost every nci and we play sf4 at GC. sure you can be proud of it but that doesn't mean that it's not in bad taste. even though i don't really care about having a flyer i will nitpick as much as i want >:3

i think miyako is kicking capcom is kind of in bad taste but whatever its all good also i need a high res image of bell's avatar on srk, the one with white len looking disgusted and holding her palm out lol and if i may inquire, what are the sponsors at the top left and the bottom right? finestko logo looks like it needs GLITTER SCOTT YOU NEED GLITTER WITH THAT FONT brokentier logo has white in weird places sadface uhh yeah sorry to critique so much when you are doing this for free ^^; and ok i may actually go to GC today
