lol Cake making up stories already, I've never even played you at all. Stay mad Cake. EDIT: I don't want to rain on Cirno's Critical Heart parade but you are aware that the game desyncs sometimes right? The game still goes on for like another round for some reason, at which point the (desynced) opponent will just do random stuff and generally appear super free. I have no idea why or how this happens but that's probably how you got your perfect into a Critical Heart ending in a disconnect which I have no recollection of. If that's the case then it's a reasonable misunderstanding, it probably looked like you ragequit after getting perfected on my end too (although I probably didn't do Nazuna's Critical Heart since I have no idea how it works). If that's not the explanation then you're just making crap up and that's pretty sad. -

Neither does the rest of Canada bro. Also Nerdjosh is going down once I stop playing like a derp and start AAing his random body splash approaches. -

Oh god Nazuna's so good, why didn't anyone tell me this sooner. I'm still losing a lot but at least I'm not totally getting blown up by everything that has the slightest bit of priority/range. -

My copy just came in. Anyone else who is also teh n00bz0r want to mash? I'm EC btw but I think at this point I suck enough that a bit of delay won't matter. -
Does Hazama actually have any options for hitting anyone once he puts them in corner? He's got two overheads that do nothing without meter and a command throw that, while decent, isn't going to be some god tier Tao-level mixup bullshit.

I'm surprised they actually shipped it. Let's see if it comes in by tomorrow. -
>implying you need any matchup experience to beat Noel
-
Alternately pick Bang and mash 5A.
-
Relaunch BnB only works off 5B, 5C, 3C, or Zaneiga starters. It does slightly less damage than a double 4D link but you build more meter. Incidentally, even if 5C will reach normally, you should still try to dash in after anything > 5B 3C Zaneiga so that double chain link is guaranteed. Otherwise the link only works off j.B, j.2C, and 5B/5C/3C starters. And I had trouble with the j.C jump cancel too, until I found out that the easiest way to do it is to just mash j.C nonstop while you do the jump cancel. Of course you have to count the hits too and make sure to JC immediately on the 5th hit.
-
Unless I'm somehow programming the training dummy wrong it definitely works. You just jump right over her.
-
There's really no free punish for Noel's overhead since it's only -4. I've actually found that j.4B is the best punish on IB though. After 6B, she can 3C, 5D, 2D, 6D, or 4D. If you try to 5A or 5B any of those moves Noel will beat you clean (IB 5A will beat 5D and 6D but only if she gatlings straight into them without delay). 2A isn't any better either. What is pretty much universally safe is IBing 6B and then jumping forward and holding back immediately. If she does 3C or 6D you will just jump over and can land a j.4B for punish. If she does 2D or 4D you will jump IB and can punish with 5A/5B when you land. If she does 5D it will normally hit you out of a forward jump, but if you hold back Bang will go into air blocking stance and that actually shrinks his hitbox over the 5D. It's a lulzy option select but it does work. If she doesn't follow up 6B with anything, though, don't try to punish, you'll just eat a 4D AA.

Best overall damage output is probably either Litchi or Ragna. Litchi can get 4-5k meterless off all of her viable pokes while Ragna can hit 4-4.5k meterless off literally any normal with the exception of maybe 2A which I think prorates you down to 3.5k, but he also hits like 8k off an FC 2C. Bang can also hit 4.5-5k meterless off anything but only when in FRKZ. Makoto may be able to hit 5k consistently as well, I'm not sure. Valkenhayn gets very good damage as well but I'm not sure how consistently he can break 5k without meter. For raw damage that you're actually likely to get more than once in your life, Arakune can do something like 13k off a FC j.C while in curse and 7-9k off everything else. Hazama can also hit 7k or thereabouts off an FC Houtenjin with 100% meter which he gets super easily due to the meter build on j.C. Hakumen can 100% any character in Mugen but I've never seen it done in a non-Japanese match, probably because he needs meter for everything else so getting 8 stars is rare. DISCLAIMER: Numbers may not be accurate on account of me not giving enough of a damn to check them.

Oh look my Arcana Heart 3 preorder is in Preparing Order status now. Time for it to stay like that for a week and then finally be canceled. -
No one's mashing, bro. It's called timing. Also Daifunka is slow as hell, you never mash it out randomly.
-
Uhhhhh... 1) If you can't do 9-dash j.4Cx3 j.D 2B, then just do two j.4Cs then 2-dash 2B. In fact j.4Cx3 won't even work off some starters. 2) Bang is legit without FRKZ. I normally use FRKZ when I need/want the mixup options and huge damage, and don't anticipate rushdown/approach being that big of an issue. That's why I generally don't recommend using it on Ragna or Tao, they will clean the floor with you if they ever hit you while you're in FRKZ. 3) You hit them and start mixing it up. Dash into the air and j.B/C for overhead, dash down 2A for low, dash through 5B for crossup, etc. 4) What do you mean mash it out? You do the input and press the button and it comes out.
-
I've found jump IB works pretty well if they're just spamming the taildrop on you over and over. I think it might even work on normal block since you recover from blockstun before she even touches the ground.

How do the rules work for that? Do you only get one shot as opposed to two or do you just play rounds for both players in the team? -

Make that a real arcade setting. I've been to CTF and that place is a shithole. I mean I realize the arcade business isn't exactly booming and it is pretty much the only arcade on the East Coast, but damn they could stand to clean that place up a bit. -
Lots of people actually play pad and it doesn't actually make you any worse for it. Of course there are a lot of advantages to playing stick but a good pad has its strong points too. As for your questions: A) If you're having trouble with the inputs it's not an issue of muscle memory. I've found that the PS3 pad likes to drop diagonals (unsurprising, since it has no actual pressable diagonals) so you have to make sure you're actually hitting those inputs. BB's pretty lenient on some of the inputs but it will not shortcut you if you drop a diagonal like SF4 does. Turn on input display in training mode and see if that's the problem. B) It actually does. I've found the PS2 pad is either a lot more stiff while the Sixaxis is a lot looser, and the DS3 is somewhere in between. C) If it's not the diagonal thing then you might want to consider investing in a Saturn pad or something.

Also, what are people's impressions regarding this new arcade that's opening in New Hampshire? I saw something about it on Kotaku.
