To get you on the right track: 2D CC 5K is a 1-2 frame link on almost any character. You can do it if you're experienced, but I reckon you're not, so you might want to keep this for later. CH 2D CC gives about a 10 frame window to hit your opponent, some characters can be hit by 5S(f) (like Chipp), but nearly always you can dash a little if you go for 2S(so the sequence for that is actually 663S). Then you can convert to 5H (s)IAD.P-S SV. Alternatively, if you get the CH, you should also be able to dash 5S or dash 5K-S and convert that into one of the aircombos. As for easy launchers, Order Sol doesn't really have any at level 1. At level 2 you gain the l2Ri which goes to some decent damage and at level 3 you get l3SF, l3Ri and l3BRP which you can all combo into. If you want to launch at level 1, you need to attempt stuff like Fafnir, GBs and 5Ds on regular hit or go for a CH with 2D, 2H, 6P, AA 5H or jH.

her 6H loop isn't the problem, it was that she could land 4 puffballs without affecting the guard bar that was a problem.

Alright, ty. What about failed slashback having 2 frames recovery? Is that 2 frames total or 2 frames added to the SD recovery? Also, good to know they are taking the lag issue seriously.

As we're on the clarification tour: are these changes related to the previous loketest or related to GGXXAC? And did they really make Slayer's jH stronger?

If you pay attention you can notice a delay in you pressing the button and your character actually responding. And yeah, I suppose many people should write them a letter telling them that a PC version is a very welcome alternative. -
Like a true fanboi I'll only sign when it's GG we're talking about(unless the next iteration sucks, then I'm talking about GGXXAC).

I think with the recent loketest that arcsys silently confirmed this for us, but I did notice MvC3 having this issue. Anyway, we should just push arcsys for a PC release, if they keep the requirements low we can make portable PCs and use those for tournaments. If they make a Linux version we can easily tailor those machines to booting just Accent Core as well. -
lol, that has to be the most indecisive poll result I've seen so far :D Also, I'd pay $60 for a Linux version.

Well, I doubt the TK FB SW would hit crouching opponents, so it could be used as a grounded fuzzy mixup or alike, but I don't really think it will go much beyond that.

Don't forget that Justice has a command dash that has wallstick/wallbounce properties and that she still has 2 airdashes. I'm still more worried about OS's sweep change, I'd say it almost looks asif arcsys wants OS players to gunblaze if they want/need low profile. -

Alright, either already or soon, RaptorIIC will be uploading a new nullDC with JAMMA plug to his site. The new nullDC has differences in the CPU instruction emulation so if you don't use the latest version, you will desync. The plugin now uses UDP and has packetduplication. In nullDC.cfg you will find three lines: minpacketdup, maxpacketdup and packetdup. Due to a thinking error on my behalf and me being to lazy to fix it, the packetdup is really only there to show what packetdup is actually in effect. If you want to prevent your upload getting DoS'ed (or make sure it is getting DoS'ed) you need to adjust the min and max values. Though I believe the defaults should suffice for most people. -
How the fuck do you think everyone started these games? This is not SF4 where you come in and have the opportunity to win some. If you start playing against players that are even remotely decent, you will lose. You can lose as much as 300 games before getting a little understanding about how to play the game. If you cannot deal with this, you might as well quit the game. If you want a really big tip: stop playing with your pride on the line.

I'm sure everyone knows that top level play is a totally different ballgame to what we're used to. And I'm sure everyone knows that putting knowledge into practice can be really hard. But none of that takes away what your eyes are seeing. As you become able to discern what choices they make and which ones turn out to be a mistake, you can gain experience and knowledge from watching. So we don't and won't catch all information, but I'm pretty sure that people are getting there. -

I forgot to reply to this. The story of 3s is quite different, we see these players doing well in tournaments, yet even these players say that they can't get any form of consistency going when it comes to winning. Kuroda is known to be good with Q, but he's really strong with just about every character. Heck, RX was even looking at Kuroda just for ideas on Urien. As for top level play insights, we don't necessarily get our info spoon fed, but some stuff I can make out on my own. If you look careful enough, they aren't doing anything that is overly complicated. And if you just follow the basic rules of making hard situations simple(like turning a 3 way mixup against you into an attack or block mixup) you will start to have a pretty good understanding of the choices that these players make(uppercutting isn't the only example of course). -

Wow, chill out dude. Even if he doesn't see or do high level play, he should still be able to voice his opinions or suggestions, even if you feel they are wrong. Heck, if you just go into an argument with him, he might even... learn something! -

I'm repeating myself here, but I really don't think you should balance according to the 'average' or 'decent' player. Balancing stuff according to casual gameplay will really hurt competition because they are two completely different mindsets(which in turn means two different games). -

No, I read it right and if you read properly you'd have seen I was responding correctly. Again, the meter fill mechanic itself wouldn't change, but because puddle would be a launch rather than a hold, little eddie would immediately dissappear triggering the meter refill. Meaning that during his combo, he'd get half or 3 quarters of little Eddie meter, add to that the blowback and the meter would be full by the time the opponent gets back into his face. As it is now on the other hand... little Eddie stays around during the entire unblockable combo triggering the meter refill only after the combo. Yes, that is how the character plays(or how Ruu plays the character), not how it is balanced... -

No, now he has to hit his third unblockable. If you give him the quicker refill, he doesn't need to go for third unblockable because he can go back to mawaru loop straight away (which in terms of execution is much safer!). I still stand by that this is matchup specific, as I've never seen this happening vs OSs or Johnnies. I'm just saying that your 'nerfs' might not turn out the way you expect them to :D Like I keep saying, just remove the chipdamage and reduce meter fill, that alone is enough. If the best performing player can show bridget to be balanced or overpowered, than he is balanced or overpowered. Averages don't exist when measuring character potential, the fact that only some people reach that potential just means the character is really hard to play, not that it is underpowered. -

Keep in mind that if you would do that, the eddie meter will be refilling during that combo. So not only is Eddie getting 'free' damage, he'd be able to almost immediately summon little Eddie again. Personally I would consider this a huge buff to Eddie rather than a nerf. 300 damage against lighter characters, maybe, but I haven't seen ex-drill going over 200dmg against normal characters. Personally, I think that Eddie's outrageous standing with the rest of the cast has mellowed out quite a bit. I don't really have that much issues vs him anymore and I'm playing Order Sol out of all characters. I've seen Johnny and other bottom tier characters do great vs Eddies on Japanese streams as well. The only thing I still find really retarded is that Eddie's meter refills too quickly and that his little Eddie not only forces you to guard, but also chips your life when you're not faultless guarding(out of tension). Again, I feel this has mellowed out quite a bit in the past few years. I personally don't have any real experience with these characters(these characters are not compatible with my will in the game), but everything considered, I have seen players that do really well with these characters and I don't feel that these characters should be touched.
