  1. moriya had such a thing in lb2 these days, it would probably be an frc
  2. base is small, light, easy to accidentally move while playing.
  3. yesssssssssssssss
  4. upper level 3 can lead to 300 damage if you know how to follow it up mid level 3 is kinda ass, but at least you can recoin low level 3 isn't so bad either, you get ~150 damage (assuming you hit-confirm from 5K 5HS) and knockdown
  5. stay chill, why you trippin
  6. i have converters for my 360
  7. yeah, we're definitely not going to make things even more confusing. besides, being at another tournament beats watching a stream any day.
  8. also, when we were talking about distance between buttons earlier, i neglected to mention that measuring from the button housings is fairly misleading since they obviously don't activate the button when you press them. so, factoring that in, even when measuring from the edges, the buttons are much further apart than they are on any pad. and look dude, just because i didn't measure the force needed to activate a button with a fucking accelerometer and a g meter doesn't mean i can't accurately gauge how much is required for it to register, lol. likewise with not having to measure travel distance with a fucking micrometer; i have much better things to do, like say, actually playing games. besides, i highly doubt YOU'VE done such measurements yourself (and if you have, POST THEM). and what you're saying is in contradiction to what the community at large has adopted as matter-of-fact, so the burden of proof is on you, for better or worse.
  9. that's some good shit but what if it's dash canceled?
  10. lol, no you don't; you wanna wire a pad directly to a jamma board or get one of laugh's converters. that's the thing about this whole argument though; i'm willing to concede that there are some people (read: very few) that actually are better on pad than they are on stick (this is of course, assuming they practice on both), and that some people prefer pad for whatever reasons. but to come out and say that pad is "objectively" better not only goes against the decades now of experience the collective community has, but also is a flat-out dumb statement to make, since nothing is ever "objectively" better than anything; it's all opinion, which is by definition subjective, lol. what's true is that sanwa buttons require less force to activate and that wrists and your non-thumb fingers are more responsive than thumbs. you can argue to the hills that more control is a bad thing (which may be true, for you), but the fact of the matter is that while more control is harder to control, it is still, at the end of the day, more control.
  11. and what good is any of that if you can't even go out of your way to use it in an argument you supposedly have the higher ground in? for someone that demands proof as much as you do, you sure do a hell of a good job of not supplying it. (you're still wrong, btw. but at least you'll be able to hook your pad up to a supergun, right? )
  12. and yet everything you're saying amounts to "i'm a neanderthal who has no control over my wrists or forearm or any finger that isn't my thumb, therefore stick sucks and pad is better". and being objective, lol. as if there is such a thing as an objective opinion.
  13. but do they have to spend meter on their shitty mixups? lol i'm honestly fine with the way johnny's corner mixups are, i just really wish he could get one of his corner high/lows midscreen.
  14. here's a hint: danny was the guy who won the money match
  15. kinda like how he is now? lol whenever the subject of rebalancing johnny comes up, people always want to give him more gimmicks; let him pick up coins, give him a smoke grenade, give him a gun, whatever. either that or people cry over his execution barrier, which really isn't all that bad. all ac johnny really needs to raise to c tier are a few decent midscreen mixups. all the ones he has now are like kjfrc airdash or kjfrc dash hop airdash backwards and just a whole bunch of shit that's easy to react to, easy to disrespect and costs meter. if he had even one decent midscreen fuzzy or something, that'd be all he'd really need.
  16. i meant what i said (and i said that the travel is less, because it is), but you still fail to understand the difference between "button making stuff happen on screen" and "button traveling as far as it can". it can only be expected when you play on pad though. spoken like a true pad scrub, lol.
  17. http://www.examiner.com/video-game-news-in-national/snk-bringing-neo-geo-games-to-ps3-and-psp just sayin'
  18. i for one wouldn't mind a midscreen mixup that doesn't involve an airdash crossup.
  19. have you tried dropping it on your head? at this point, it may be your last hope. i've opened up more pads and sticks than you've used in your lifetime. wanna talk facts? here's a fact; sanwa buttons do not need to be pressed all the way in to be engaged- simply resting your fingers on them can cause them to do so. i used the dropping example because it proves just how sensitive they are, and it's something that you will never be able to do with any pad, ever, because pad buttons have to make contact with the rubber membrane in order to work, which requires much more force than what's needed to engage a microswitch in a sanwa button. just because the microswitches in sanwa buttons are huge doesn't mean they have to be pushed down all the way to work (don't believe me? ask anyone that plays on sanwa; you can breathe of them funny and they'll start going off). at this point, i can't help but wonder if YOU'VE ever opened up a stick, lol. and yet you fail to take into account the size of said buttons and how far the centers of them are (presumably where you're trying to press them) from each other? why would you ever think that measuring their distance edge to edge was what i was referring to? (answer: because you don't play on stick, lol.) just because arcade layout is superior to pad because the buttons are larger and further apart doesn't mean that buttons as big as humanly fucking possible and a hundred fucking miles apart are ideal. with such gross exaggerations and insane ultimatums, you sound like a clingy ex girlfriend, lol. i'd rather not get in to it, but let's just say there's a reason she's an ex girlfriend now oh, you mean what you've been doing for the past three or so pages? unfortunately for you, i am both. it's quite clear to me that in spite of your impressive collection of arcade cabinets, you fail to understand why arcade layout, buttons and sticks are superior for fighting games. is it because you have limited experience playing on japanese parts? is it because you learned on pad and nothing else? is it because you're absolutely terrible at fighting games? i'll bet my money on all of the above (don't worry though, nobody else here is much better than you at fighting games ).
