Arizona "Arcsys Release Dates Give Us Erectile Dysfunction", Thread

You know, I distinctly remember trying the shoulder buttons and getting nothing, which led to some disgust at seemingly not having that option when there were buttons not being used; couldn't check the manual because it has apparently grown wings. I'll check again next time I feel like playing it, though that'll only solve part of the aggravation; that camera really needs to be faster. The worst that a PSP will do to you MH-wise is force you to adopt an awkward left hand posture for manipulating the camera and moving at the same time. It's difficult at first, but kind of grows on you. -

Loss? What loss? Removing aquatic combat is the greatest thing they could do to Tri, right next to reimplementing Gunlances and Duals. Slower mobility with a poorly implemented Z-axis in an already limited-mobility game is hardly my idea of a good time =T If you were able to at least swim up/down without having to aim the camera in that direction, it'd be so much better. Unless I missed something in the manual and undersea battles that lets you do that... You should get a PSP. -

Playing the MHP3 demo. Dual Swords are even more badass than they were before. Switch Axe has also been improved; no more worthless wild flailing. -

I've been doing offline mode to familiarize myself with new monsters and grinding out my gear. Still at whatever HR I was at when I last played...which can't have been too high. Working on elemental SnS sets+farming Lagiacrus for armor to see if that'll maybe make SnS feel like a pale echo of duals. If not, I'll be sad and continue along with switchaxe and lance. Can't wait for MHP3 so I can get my duals and gunlances back :< -

That catch alone disqualifies it from my interests. I'll stick to F/UC for my totally-not-worth-the-effort combos. Icing on the cake is that the reward wouldn't even cover 1/4 of what I'd have to fork out just to grind it. Been playing MH3 again because I'm bored. And sad, seeing how worthless sword 'n board is compared to taking up a switch axe/lance and shaving 10-15 mins off my kill times :< -

Dan, I'm not sure how you managed it, but that avatar both suits you perfectly and not at all at the same time. -

Only if they changed the vertical limit for avatars. Everyone else seems to like to use the full horizontal allotment, something that can't really be done with screencap while keeping the full image intact. -

You can't cross up in MB if the characters aren't facing each other. In order for you to be able to get a cross up orb (or anything), you'd have to fix it so that it pops after you land on the other side, or double jump/air dodge (C/H moons only) to turn around while in the air. -

Family obligations. But I don't think you really want to play me in MB yet anyway. -

I only ever get called cheap... Have been waiting for people to decide they really like playing the game instead of just voicing it in passing thoughts :l I am greatly saddened at how long it's been since I had someone to play and how this thread got to be something like 95% BB and only an occasional post relevant to GG. -

Yeah, I'd already read the bits about how they want BB to be more casual orientated and GG is currently on the backburner. Saying they want to dumb down GG though...that's scary. Taking away Slashbacks...ok. FRCs...I kinda liked those, but I'm masochistic. I'm worried that they won't stop there, and I'd hate to see GG become what BB currently is. -

The answer to this is almost universally "no" if said friend is not a known player. -

Dan was honing his SF skills with some monks in Tibet for that showdown that was supposed to happen last week or something. -

C-Akiha's j2C is techable, but she has better options for setting up oki anyway. If you want ideas for Aoko, you really should be playing Aoko; only F-Akiha really has anything that remotely resembles some of Aoko's oki options. -

Making staffless j.C techable hurts a lot of her combos/loops. At least most of the ones I've seen. This kinda implies a damage nerf. If lower level on 6D means what I think it means, that means less hit/blockstun, which means weaker pres--ohwait, IB is stupidly good so that's a moot point anyway. Staff 6A nerf is only a moderate nerf to the stupid changes they made to it in CS. I'm not sure if it still has manten return state built in (if that exists at all anymore); if it does, then meterless combos are still possible. If not, then damage loss at sub-50% meter, possibly coupled with j.C changes. Regardless, nothing of significance has really changed, so I'm still not particularly interested. -

Litchi was beaten and left for dead in an alley. Rachel got some of her rushdown back. The S-tier musical chairs war continue. -

When did that class start, when does it finish, and how long ago was that workload assigned? -
I don't know if I'd say she has a lot of 50/50s. 6A has a 22 frame startup, which is almost as long as the purple throw break window (27f), Chun has a 26f startup. Neither is impossible to react to. For reference, 50/50s in GG generally involve overheads with < 20f startup; and even some of those can be blocked on reaction (for example, most people learn to react to Testament's 6P; 17f startup). There's some shenanigans that can be done with an RC'd Chun if you're willing to gamble the meter for it, when you have Kokushi Musou as cover/distraction, etc.; but it's not that rare in my experience for people to easily block a lot of the mixup attempts once they know what to watch for. If her mixup was really that good, she wouldn't need to fish for counter hits so often =\

A successful troll. Is all that really needs to be said on the matter.
-
Long combos that generally don't seem to do enough damage to justify the effort in comparison to most characters makes the matches boring for some people. Also, Tsubame Gaeshi.
-
His ground pokes have a nasty habit of beating out hers unless you charge into a 6B that's already out or something. His DP is also a lot better than hers; more invincibility, RC'able on block, and will beat Tsubame in a trade.

Not sure how much this counts, but the one time I managed something along those lines, the Tao in question used it during the first few hits of 13 Orphans towards the end of a match. I anticipated it and was curious to see if I could air throw her out of it. I didn't/couldn't; ended up eating the hit, but Tao dropped back down and ate the rest of the super.

2B > 6A gives you a halfscreen overhead.
