I've been playing Wind Saki so much that I have trouble playing other Arcanas without a triple jump. :/ Gonna need a lot more practice time if I want to pick up additional Arcanas. If you're playing to improve, I think it's usually best to master 1 Arcana at a time. Have you seen Water Konoha before? I think it fits your description very well: very good rushdown, useful zoning, and perhaps the best character + Arcana choice for being "smaller, capable of dodging". When your opponent hits a water bubble, it nullifies their attack as if it whiffed: they can't even cancel it into anything. So when Konoha has water bubbles nearby, it can be very difficult to hit her without hitting one of the bubbles as well. In this match below, you can see how the water bubbles make it very difficult for Konoha's opponent to rush her down, and also allow her to rush them down without worrying too much about being counter-hit: the water bubbles would most likely break the opponent's combo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eGzfKr5V04#t=25621

Stupid neutral ground tech AKA the fastest wake-up I've ever seen. Neutral ground tech 4C if they're on the ground beside you. Neutral ground tech 2C or 28A if they're in the air above you. Neutral ground tech 4D 4C. Neutral ground tech and high-jump-block (281 or 284) is almost always a safe option-select. If you time it right, you should be able to block meaties AND jump-out if there's a gap. I hate this character. :P

Useful resources on the Homingcancel forums: - Saki LM Combos - Saki changes from AH3 to AH3LM - Saki LM Videos New to Saki? Here's what you need to know: - Flashkick ([2]8x) is great. B and C versions are invincible. - On block, you can homing cancel Flashkick to make it safe -- in fact, 5D j.A gives you a tight blockstring if you do it right away! - 5B is great: +1 on block, jump-cancellable, and lower body clash from frame 2. - Brionac, the horizontal kick ([4]6x) is +1/+2 on block for the ground A/B versions. Pressure reset! - Divekick (j.3C) hits overhead. - La'a, her command roll (63214x) can be EFC'd (A+B+C) for a quick ground cross-up and HC'd (6D) for a slower cross-up. - Love is one of the best Arcanas to start with: has great meter gain, a couple of projectiles, and very fast burst recharge. - Some simple and intermediate combos to get you started: A B C Flashkick Super - 1 bar 6210 dmg 2A 2B 2C [2]8C (2 hits) j.214A+B A B C Brionac Super - 1 bar 6344 dmg 2A 5B 5C [4]6B j.236A+B Bad Homing Cancel Combo - 1 bar 6866 dmg / 2 bars 8116 dmg 2A 2B 2C 6HC 5A 6C j.A j.B j.4B dj.A dj.B dj.C dj.623B (nothing / dj.214A+B) Bad Extend Force Cancel Combo - 0 bars 7061 dmg / 1 bar 8226 dmg 2A 2B 2C EFC 5A 6C j.C j.B j.4B dj.A dj.B dj.C dj.623B (nothing / dj.214A+B) Meterless BnB - 0 bars 7607 dmg / 1 bar 8872 dmg 2A 2A 2B 2C [6]4C j.A j.4B dj.A dj.B dj.C dj.623A (nothing / dj.214A+B) Simple Overhead or Punish Combo - 0 bars 8480 or 10317 dmg / 1 bar 10145 or 12502 dmg (j.3C or 6B) [6]4C j.A j.4B dj.A dj.B dj.C dj.623A (nothing / dj.214A+B) See the Saki LM Combos topic linked above for more advanced combos!

I've seen JP players using mirror in tournament matches. It's definitely been buffed since vanilla.

Any Saki players here? If so, I've added a bunch of LOVEMAX info (combos + changes) in the Saki forum on HomingCancel: http://homingcancel.com/saki/

We Need an Arcana Heart 3 Section
Bill307 replied to Grimsley-San's topic in Site Feedback and Suggestions
Voted yes for all the reasons Tigre posted. In particular, I think it'll be great if people could just have one account on one site to discuss anime games, rather than having to register on and hop between multiple sites. -
CvS2 is AWESOME! :D Joe: if you wanna learn Rock, search JP player OTK's CvS2 matches. :D

Hey guys. It looks like I'm gonna be in San Francisco from April 6th - 20th. Anyone interested in some casuals while I'm there? Especially AH3 casuals: I WILL be there if they're happening! I'm down for Divekick, BB, Melty, P4A, CvS2, SF4, 3s, and random/Capcom/Tales/whatever games, too, although I've really only been playing AH3 for the past few months. Edit: I'll keep an eye out for the next Norcal Dogfight, too. I'm hoping it'll happen on the 19th so I can go.

NIDHOGG IS OUT ON STEAM! http://store.steampowered.com/app/94400/ Edit: it has multiple stages now! And the game looks a loooot faster. :D

(cross-posted from Facebook to here) Northern Battles #8 (2014 Jan 12) Arcana Heart 3 results: (free-entry) 1. TeabagNation (Love Saki) 2. Rikir (Wind Clarice) 3. Arcana of Skill [RobFig] (Luck---no, SKILL Fiona!) 4. Joe (Wind Elsa) 5. Sol-Blackguy (Plant Akane) 5. DudeUnderscore (Petra) 7. Producer-san (Weiss) 7. NTR (Scharl) 9. ChaChaMan (Kamui) 9. Bash (Angelia) 9. Girls 4 M [Psykotik] (Scharl) - DQ'd 'cause too busy in GFs of other games 9. Brian (Heart) - DQ'd 'cause too busy in GFs of other games 13. NanhouDrops's Friend (Heart) 13. Akugi (Angelia) 13. ShiningNegro (ummm... ) 13. F Wily (Saki) Shoutouts to everyone who entered: we filled an entire 16-man bracket! If Karn, RyanKen, or Tenma could've made it, or if Mr. Mortified wasn't tied down running the stream, we would've had to run pools! Shoutouts to TeabagNation, the Arcana Heart King in the North, for moving here a week ago from Salut St. Marie and winning the first AH3 tournament he's entered! Who knew Salut St. Marie had an AH3 community (well, 2 guys, or just 1 now I guess). The grand finals was very exciting: TeabagNation lost to Rikir in winners finals but ran it back to win both sets in grand finals, with some very close rounds! Thanks to Akugi and umm... the other PS3 owner (A&C?) for providing the AH3 setups today. I should've mentioned that we rely on people bringing their copies to play. Next time, I'll remember to buy Bear Paws more than 1 day in advance... >_< .

Hearthstone is so awesome. (And I don't even have it. Been playing at Ryan's place. :P )
-
Kirito: my electricity will be out until 3 pm or later. I'm gonna be at Ryan's house playing games (probably non-FG?) for most of the day. Ryan says you can join us if you want to bus over anytime. Btw, I'm planning to sleep early tonight, maybe at 9-10 pm or earlier, unless I get a long nap or something. So if you wanted to come by in the evening and play games too, you'll probably want to come over on a different day instead.

I got home around 3:15 pm today. I've had no running water due to water main work. If I don't get my water back by 5:15, I'm gonna have to see if I can shower at Mainbase or something. I'm also hoping to wash my jacket, which smells terrible. If my water doesn't come back, guess I'll just have to wear a lot of sweaters. :/ I was planning to meet you at Conestoga Mall or the theatre at 7:00 pm, Kirito, but if my water comes back I may be a little late due to waiting for my jacket to wash and dry. Let's just meet at the movie theatre. I'll try to be there around 7:00.
-
Thanks, see ya!
-
A reminder for Kirito: I've got our tickets to see the new Madoka movie on Monday (Dec 9th) at 7:30 pm. I'm not sure how early we should get there to get good seats, but I'd like to meet at Conestoga Mall / Galaxy Cinema no later than 7:00 pm. You may have difficulty getting in touch with me between now and then, since I'll be leaving for NEC Thursday evening and should be back in Toronto (where I'll have free internet via my phone) at 9:30 am Monday. Not sure when exactly I'll be back in Waterloo, but I'll probably end up taking a nap around 2-5 pm! See you Monday!

looool, what happens when you swear while playing NBA 2014: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5okb9Vc8SY See you Friday, Joe!

What did you have in mind? (Should probably take this to the General Discussion or Player Critique thread.)

Contrary to what I wrote here earlier, this combo seems easiest if you do not delay 46A at all.
