  1. Now streaming 12-man (yes, 12 people are here!) MBAACC singles tournament: http://www.twitch.tv/Madscientist0 Bracket: http://challonge.com/madscientist
  2. We were just playing tonight. And by playing I mean training mode to find new combos.
  3. Zeron, I PM'd you our address and stuff. Even though there's pretty much no reason to travel to Waterloo rather than Toronto on a weekend for BB, this new apartment has enough space in the living room to hold a small tournament or ranbat. (We'd hit a limit on noise-making before running out of space for setups and people... or hit a limit on # of tables and chairs that we own, since we have to buy them all ourselves. :P) Provided we get enough furniture, we could definitely accomodate an extra car-full of people, if anyone was interested. I think we'll definitely start having ranbats for MBAACC and AH3, and maybe for another "popular" game like KoF13.
  4. Hey Zeron, we're planning to do casuals tomorrow. (See that thread Skub linked to.) You wanna come by? If so, do you have CSEX? I think we don't have a copy since LaN isn't back yet.
  5. Yo, Happy New Year Toronto! Looks like you guys got the best Christmas gift: csex. Yo Level5, it was great chillin' with you at NEC! Hope you can make it to more US tournies or even a Toronto one. Yo uberdeluxe, another Waterloo player? Is KW actually going to have a BB scene this year? Anyway, hope you can make it out to our upcoming gaming apartment near Erb and Westmount in January, or at least make it out to LaN's BB Basement. Zeron, you too: you have to start learning the high-level anime mind games while you're still young, so you have more time to win a US tournament before you get old and desperate like me. :P (It's also waaay more fun than staying at home. Ask LaN: he's played all kinds of crap with us just because it's more fun than playing BB online at home. )
  6. I've uploaded the AH3 matches and MBAA grand finals recorded on my camera to Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/Bill307fighting
  7. Ah, so it was you and LaN who turned the Will of the People against me in the finals! But I don't blame you for my loss. I blame myself for not using the Steindo Gate handshake.
  8. Man, what a fantastic event. Big thanks to everyone who entered MBAA and AH3. I hope it was a fun event for everyone! (Btw Leo, you've got the MBAA winners backwards: Sanasanasan came 1st and MadScientist was 2nd.) My apologies for letting MBAA and AH3 slip behind in the schedule. I should have found some more co-directors (in addition to Leo) to continue calling matches while he and I were busy. DeuS/Oscar and Greg also helped me out by recording matches with my camera, so thanks to them for that. For people who missed the stream, it's all recorded here. I believe Vince will be uploading them to Youtube later as well? http://www.twitch.tv/torontotoptiers/videos Shoutouts: - Vince: thanks again for the stream! It looks very professional. - Leo: thanks for organizing the event and running most of it. None of this awesomeness could've happened without your initiative. - A&C Games: you guys have a great venue. Thanks for hosting us, even though we ran into overtime. I think everyone in Waterloo is interested in coming to any future "anime fighters" tournaments that you guys host. - Pui, K2, Kousaka: good to see you guys again. Thanks for adding to the MB and AH hype! - Kaaai, B2: it's been a while since I've seen Kaaai and I don't remember if I ever met B2 before... maybe once at Baod's old place in Toronto? Glad you guys could make it out for Melty! - Raynex: it was great meeting you and talking about Arcana at almost every opportunity. I'm looking forward to seeing your Kamui and/or Saki at the next event. Hopefully you can start a healthy scene in Toronto! (For what it's worth, the AH1 scene in Waterloo used to be me and 1 other guy, lol. But perseverance and AH3 being awesome really helped the scene grow... to a whole ~5 guys!) Let us know the next time you're Waterloo and we'll see if we can arrange some Arcana. - Worldjem, Ernovaku, Amedeo, Ernie, Esef: it was great to meet another community of guys who are also enthusiastic about AH3! Again, I hope you guys can all start a scene for the game in Toronto. You're also welcome to come up to Waterloo on a Saturday or for any events we host in the future. Looks like registration on Homing Cancel is working again, so we can all communicate in the dedicated topic there. Hopefully we can have events like this more frequently.
  9. I'm going to seed MBAACC and AH3 by location. Right now, the only locations I know are "Waterloo", "not-Waterloo", and a few people from Lovegety. If anyone has a more specific location than Toronto / not-Waterloo, like A&C, then please let me know / write it down when you sign up. Edit: after thinking about this, I've decided that if there are 12 or fewer entrants, then I'll do random seeding instead. I think it'll be more fun that way.

  11. "Get hype yo." - omegaryuji There's also the Arturo Three Cheese with Bacon, which I do not recommend: it's too salty.
  12. one one one one one one Cool, I'll let people know. If we're still 6 or 7 and the room limit is 4 people/room, then that would work out really well. I think we'll have 4 people competing in MBAA but I guess we'll see. Is level5 not interested in entering AH3 and beating Arturo again?
  13. From Waterloo, we're planning to have 7 guys going (max). This doesn't include any of the Toronto players except omegaryuji. The Sheraton has a limit of 4 people per room, iirc? So we'll have 1 extra space in a room Saturday night... or possibly up to 3 people looking to split rooms with others. We should probably figure this out soon... :P We're getting everyone to re-confirm: we can probably get a final # of people by the end of the weekend.
  14. This is gonna be fun. :D I should practice my GG combo. I'm sure we can work something out for the streaming. Hopefully we can get some good matches on stream for all of the games. Leo I'll talk to you and Vince about it at the event. Edit: sounds like we can run top 4 for each game in its ~55-minute slot on stream, with bo5 GF and bo3 everything else. If GFs end early, we can possibly run a few exhibition matches in the remaining time, e.g. show off some other characters that weren't played in top 4. ('Course, that's assuming none of the previous games run long. :P)
  15. Hey, I didn't get to meet you at the event on Saturday. But anyway, if you come out to casuals sometime, there's always someone around to play AH3 with. We even got a new player recently named Dylan who recently started learning AH3. He's using Eko. I must warn you, though. If you come out, you may be tempted into a game of Tanto Cuore. And then you will waste many, many hours playing it instead of fighting games. I know from experience. T_T
  16. CANUCK INSTALL!! Finally! I've been waiting for someone to organize an event like this since forever! I'm in there for AH3 and MBAACC. If AH3 gets a good turnout then I'll enter give my money away in BB and GG too. I volunteer to commentate for AH3 and MBAACC if/when they get stream time, as well. I'm thinking that all of the games on the stream will want to focus on knowledgeable/insightful commentary since many of RXS's stream subscribers (and at least some percentage of the viewers) will be SF4/MvC3/MK9 players. No doubt there will be colour commentary as well. Shoutouts to Vince/RXS for volunteering to stream this, to A&C for the venue, and to the Toronto guys who are organizing this! Edit: anyone interested in Tanto Cuore casuals?
  17. Is there any interest in (and space for) AH3 or MBAA(CC) side tourneys?
  18. Happy Birthday, K2.
  19. What is the subject? Maybe this guy can help you:
  20. Fortunately, it was just my curious question, so no one has to do a fat chick. HoN must be offering something a lot different and better if it can compete with LoL. I don't know anything about the games, though. I just know that I usually hear people talking about LoL and not HoN.
  21. After seeing the recent posts, I decided to log in and say... Why would people play HoN if they can play LoL for free? o.Oa
  22. You're in a Japanese matchvid on Nico? @_@
  23. Thank you Awesome Hero Kousaka. I can't express how much more optimistic I am knowing I probably won't be making a solo trip. I was actually contemplating buying a Nintendo DS or a laptop just for the trip. I'll get in touch with him asap. Edit: He is Deus, the 2nd best IaMP player in Canada... or so he tells us. There's also a 2nd guy here who just plays the game casually.
  24. *pop-in* About NEC: so these guys in Maryland say they're going to "wipe the floor" with everyone else in AH3 at NEC. A reasonable claim, since they've been playing the game for 8 months already, but it made me resolve to go to NEC and blow them up or lose trying. I want to confirm that the Lovegettians who are going are unable to take one more person (me) for the drive, so that I can plan a Greyhound trip. (I've also PM'd Russel asking about any Tekken players who might be going.) There are also two other guys here (MBAA/IaMP players) who are on the fence about going. If either of them commits to going (like... tomorrow), then we'll probably just take a Greyhound together. In the interest of preserving my sanity, I'm hoping to avoid a solo 20-hour Greyhound trip all the way there, although that is the most likely scenario. =P
  25. lol Leo you got bumped from 4th to 7th.
