lol @ this Elizabeth glitch in P4U2: http://www.mmcafe.com/nico.html#http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22350517

I tried this a bit after reading your post. Seems difficult to time? I wasn't able to get dj.B to connect, but if I did j.B land j.B j.C it worked. This means the fuzzy guard can work against any character that can be hit by rising j.B in their standing-block animation. If you jump forwards after 2DC 46B oki and they emergency tech, deep j.B is actually a tight blockstring with the orb. I think this would be really useful if I could time it consistently... Edit: https://docs.google.com/document/d/15_Lj5G0u1kX4-7YykGfoQ_twEsOze778z64tMHN-dE8/edit?pli=1#heading=h.d42aunq0l9v1

Cool! The timing of the 2nd 3C seems really strict, unfortunately. You can always get oki by ending the combo with 6DA delay 2DB. Some damage values for different starters: (close 5B 2B / close 2B / 6A) 6B 3C 2DC short delay 46A 5B short delay 3C 5DA 2DA 46B 6C delay 6DA delay 2DB (46A oki) [3069 +22 / 3537 +25 / 3720 +26] You can do other enders near the corner but you can't seem to squeeze more than 100 extra damage out.
-
How do you wind tech with Rachel? I've seen it happen but I'm not sure how to do it in training mode to see if there's any way to stop it.
-
This is worrying me... does 2D do something different, like a follow-up, if you're mashing 2D? Because I was testing with a dummy mashing 2D. I'm gonna go into training mode again now and double-check this... Edit: ... god damnit it changes to Enma when I'm holding A to tech. -_-;; Edit 2: this explains why Omnisscythe often jumped whenever he did midscreen B orb oki on Hakumen: it makes the 2D attack miss. Looks like midscreen 2DC B-orb gives you enough time to do a mix-up or even a deep, tight j.B (into possible fuzzy guard) if they block the orb, jumping over their 2D attack otherwise. In the corner, there is also a 2DA B-orb timing that gives you a frame-trap j.B if they block the orb. Nothing is guaranteed after 2DB A-orb, though. Edit 3: Unfortunately, it looks like Hakumen gets a free star for countering either orb. :/
-
If you're correct, then training mode must be broken, because I had no trouble punishing his 2D after blocking it, not to mention seeing it get hit by 46B immediately after activating. 2D is a grab? Whenever I got counter-hit by it (after 46A activated it), I got fatal countered up into the air. Maybe you're thinking of an older version of Hakumen? Or is it a grab up close?

Just bought 2 tickets for us for the Monday show. I'm gonna do what I do at US majors and see if I can talk to some of the other random people who attend as well. YES! ONE LESS PERSON TO FIGHT THRU IN BB! jk Sucks that you won't be able to come and defend your 3rd place. :/ Looks like I'll be taking the Greyhound to Final Impact 2, minus my PS3. Btw, can you print some tickets for me? (NEC / Megabus / Madburger Movie) Edit: Madoka related: Mami and Sayaka SO STRONG: https://twitter.com/tone765/status/405039933745676288/photo/1

This round ending, daaaaaaamn... SSF4AE Team PIE FT5 - Aulord (Cody) vs PIE Chin (Cody) (at 15:33)

Ok, I think I found the link to buy tickets: http://www.frontrowcentre.com/cinema/ontario/waterloo/galaxy-cinemas-waterloo/ (scroll down to Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part III: The Rebellion Story) Ryan, bad news: the 2nd show is on the same day as BBCP/etc. at Final Impact 2 in Toronto (Sunday Dec 15th). I can go to the 1st one, though, on Monday Dec 9th (Monday after NEC). If anyone else wants to go see this one with me (Kirito/BillDing/Ryan/...), let me know and we can buy tickets.

I used to have plastic forks and paper plates at the previous Mainbase for situations like this. Pretty sure the unwashed KFC bowl was my fault, sorry. Next time I buy food from the Zehrs plaza over there, I hope I remember to buy those disposable utensils and plates again. Ryan, what day/time are you guys seeing the new Madoka movie, again? Where can I buy a ticket for it?

Weird. Speaking of Wiki page errors, I noticed the description of his drive says he has 4 different stances. I guess if you count the stance cancel he has 4... Also, for 2DB, it says "Can not gatling into any other moves unless rapid cancelled." This is not true: you can drive cancel the 2nd hit, like with any other drive. Lastly, for 6DB, it says "Hits low and crosses up." This move hits mid.

Did some testing after commentating Omniscythe's matches vs Omnix. If you use any orb oki while Hakumen has 4+ stars, he can reversal super counter your orb to escape. You can super jump away (and double jump / air dash / drive) to avoid the unblockable hit, but you can't punish him because the recovery is completely invincible. Unfortunate. :/ (Edit: this next part is wrong. I was testing by holding A to tech, which also turns 2D's attack into Enma, which is punishable unlike 2D's normal attack.) If you use an A orb for oki after 2DB, Hakumen can emergency tech and 2D to counter it. You can block the counter attack and punish with 6B, 3C, or even 2C or 5C. (The frame data says it's -15 but this is clearly wrong. It feels like -19 or -20, just enough for 5C to hit.) You won't get a counter-hit, though. At midscreen, you can spend 50 meter to do 2C 2DB RC into 4.6k+, but without 50 meter you won't get much of a punish because they're too far for you to do a combo using CT, 5DC, or even 46A 5B. But in the corner, you can punish with 6B into 5.2k meterless. :D Hakumen 2D won't work against B orb oki because he gets hit by the last 4 hits. By the way, he can 3C (8 frames) all of your drives on block to punish them, except for 5DA 66 and 2DC (unless he IBs the 2nd hit). This is never a counter-hit, except for 5DA 44.

[BBCP] FT10s - Season 3.1 - Sat. 1/11/2014
Bill307 replied to LegendaryRath's topic in BlazBlue Online Play
Thanks for the stream, Rath! You can add me to the list of possible participants, too: - bill307_ca - Kagura - Canada (Southern Ontario, Canada) I'm ~3 hours drive Northeast of Detroit. Chicago, Cincinnati, and Philadelphia are all about the same distance from me. -
Same combos as 6A starter would work, but do more damage. Wow, never thought to use 2C to avoid the super like that! :O I wonder if that works even if you're running towards her... lol @ the OD thing.

Seems like delaying the orb isn't an option vs Kokonoe: you have to use the 6DC 2DC 46B route instead, and it needs a lot of short delays in it to make it work. :/ Ending in super, the 6DC 2DC 46B route deals [5963 -16], while the 6DC 5DA 2DA 46B route deals [6229 -14] but doesn't work vs Kokonoe, maybe others. A simple alternative deals [5571 -18]: 5DB short delay 6DC 2DC 46B 5C 6DC 2DA 5D~28D (This also works if you're close to their corner: just remove the delay after 5DB.)
-
(this combo actually does 5053 +36 btw) Never thought to try 5C 2DA 46B, cool. Note that 2DC isn't an oki ender in the corner: the opponent gets wall-slammed and can air tech out of the corner. I had to change the oki ender of the last combo to 46B 2C 2DB, resulting in 3786 +27. I'll add these combos to my list since they're easier (imo) than combos that do 50/220 more damage, although the 46A oki rather than 46B is a drawback.
-
I just updated my combo list with alternative combos for a CH flashkick in the corner. Curious about this one: does it require strict timing, besides the dash 5B? Because you don't have to dash 5B in the corner, but then getting 6DC 2DC to connect requires strict timing on the 3C. Here are the two best combos I found: Collapsed: corner CH 28C: CH 28C |> 5BB 5C 2DA short delay 5DA 66 3C 6DC 2DB (46A corner oki) [2803 +20] with 30 meter or more: … 3C 6DC 2DC 5D~28D [3921 -30] CH 28C |> 5B short delay 3C 6DC 2DC 46B 5C 6DC 5DA 2DA (46B corner oki) [3095 +22]

Against Kagura it's important to know when you should and shouldn't emergency tech / neutral tech / roll backwards / roll forwards. And when you should disrespect / mash / jump away. Rhythm blocking low-high and back-forward vs certain drive start-ups is very useful, too. Edit: that guide Pfhor wrote for Jin vs Kagura's drives is good to know. Since normals cancelled into drives is almost always disrespectable and jump-away-able (and punishable when Kagura's drive whiffs), make sure you know when you can and can't escape so that Kagura can't get in on you for free like that. 3C into any drive is escapable and mashable. Pretty sure 6C is, too. The only things you have to worry about are midrange 5C/2C into 6DC (fwd rush) and 2DB (low). At max distance I think you can always jump-barrier away from these drives, or at least 2DB for sure. You should head into the lab and test it out. If you neutral jump to evade them, you should get a free punish.
-
I think so. My landlord's going to be doing some work on the place this evening so I'll probably have to play from either Mainbase or Ryan's place, if possible.
-
Wow, XDest is backdashing you all day, Ryan. :O It looks like XDest has the advantage in all situations: offense, neutral, and even defense 'cause he always slips away. I doubt you'll be able to beat him at neutral simply because of the matchup, so I guess you'll need to figure out how to escape his offense and prevent him from escaping during your offense. Pretty sure he baited the burst after the previous hit he got on Raynex, too. Lemme take a 2nd look... yup, it was definitely a bait: www.twitch.tv/torontotoptiers/b/480688392?t=5h12m00s Earlier he hit Raynex with j.2C and didn't dash in for a combo 'cause he was baiting the burst. Then he landed the j.C and didn't dash in again. Not sure if Raynex noticed the 1st burst bait and figured Ryan wouldn't try it again, or if he didn't notice and now regrets it. (Reminds me of your burst baiting, actually: if the 1st bait is unsuccessful, try to bait it again.)
-
Hey Ryan, good stuff beating Raynex in losers semis! Just watched the set. You baited his burst AND got a trophy for it!
-
I want the announcer / system voice, not the "loketest voice"... :/
-
Julien: can you beat Score Attack with Tao on my PS3 next time I bring it over? I want to unlock her system voice: the Taonouncer is pretty strong. Edit: assuming this is actually a way to unlock system voices...?
-
Sure.
