Jin can punish blocked 5D~A with 5C. (this was in a match so he may have IB'd it; don't have my copy to test atm) 2D~C looks "safe" but only because it pushes them back so far. 6D~C also got punished by Jin 5C. At some point I want to go into training mode and see exactly which drives are safe on block. If anyone knows of some other fast, long-ranged normals like Jin 5C that I can test against, please let me know! (I'll also try dash-up 5C and maybe a fast super... Jin's ice wave super?)

Sure. Ryan's getting his physical copy today so I can give you my 2nd digital DL instead. Just bring your PS3 to Mainbase whenever I'm there. And then wait probably 2-3 hours for it to download (it's 8 GB). If the DL kills Mainbase internet, then we can figure something out.

So I left my PS3 with BBCP on it at Mainbase. Gonna head there again tomorrow afternoon. We'll be watching Kill la Kill at Mainbase tomorrow as well, apparently. (Wish someone had mentioned earlier that people were watching it on Thursdays. -_-)

In OD, it looks like you're no longer limited to 1 use of each of 5D/2D/6D in a chain. E.g. you can do 2D~C 5D~C 2D~C. Edit: Aaaand apparently you just have to hold the follow-up button. <_<

Pro-tip: you can do his stance moves by mashing D+A/B/C in combos. :P

Got BBCP. Digital DL came with Terumi for free. Gonna try unlocking Kagura thru story mode tmrw. Yeah Ryan just send me a text before you come by. We can prolly go to Mainbase later, too, if ppl there want to try it. Also, while you're practicing I can work on my resume and stuff. :p Edit: Ryan, bring your PS3 as well. I'll let you use my 2nd DL until you get your disc. It can take about 2 hours to download and install the game, btw. We can leave it running while playing on my PS3.

D: Nothing to worry about: whether you're playing really well or not well, no one at Mainbase is going to think less of you because of it. In particular, we've *all* done incredibly stupid things in tournament matches before! So we all know how it feels to give a bad performance. >_< You'll definitely need to participate in more tournaments if you want to be able to perform well in offline tournaments in the future! Tournaments can bring out your best play ever, but if you lack tourney experience, then the nerves and fear can easily result in your worst play ever. Learning how to stay (relatively) calm in tournaments and other high-pressure situations is a critical part of being a competitive player. Anyway, I think Mainbase has been kind of inactive recently? Ryan and I played P4A at my place a couple of times last week rather than going to Mainbase. But you'll definitely want to try to come on Nov 9th edit: Nov 8th: Greats and Miller from Michigan are planned to come over that day. Main games will be AH3 and P4A/BBCP, respectively. Question for everyone: BBCP release casuals tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon/evening at Mainbase?

Registration for the event and for P4A and GG ends in 2 days on Oct 13th. BB and Skullgirls are side games that you can register for at the event. There was considerable interest in running AH3 on Facebook. It probably would've been an official side tourney if Skullgirls didn't grab its spot. It'd be really hype if Derek and/or Jon came and entered. I'll ask Russel if we can run AH3 on our own (my) setup. Potentially we could use the setup for Divekick as well, which sadly doesn't have its own official side tourney either.
