Montreal: Le Thread Generale Pour Weeaboo Fighters
Sophisticat replied to BladeOfJustice7's topic in International
I'm finally back from an awesome and enlightening venture. My mind has been blown every single day of the voyage. I've shed my mortal coil and no longer care about earthly things. :china: Yes! I'm more or less finished with MGR, so I can give it back next time we're both at Foonzo. Need I say more? :D -

Ah, I got it. Thanks, Mac. The trick is to simply do it all asap. That makes it connect nicely. -

Awesome stuff, Mac! Appreciated. Though how do you do... 6H -> j.D -> j.2k? I don't see how the j.2k could come out. 2K -> 2H -> BBU -> j.H -> 5H? The timing for the j.H is really tough, but I also seem too high to land -> 5H. If I do j.H -> j.K -> 5H, it seems more stable. And yes, anticipating more. -

Bibi or Kirby, could you please check tonight to see if I forgot my medical insurance card at Foonzo? If I did forget it, could you text me the info on it such as card# and expiration date? My # is 514-966-1447. Thanks!! -

Thanks, guys. That's not cool! Gear is so important. That shit saves lives! Good to know you came out of it ok, too. :P I only have a few minor scratches on my stuff, but I'll be keeping the reminder as well. Yep. And yes, much, much worse. I don't want to know what the same crash would do at 100km/h. Or more. -

Fucking rain... Ok, so I'm ok right now, but I crashed the bike this morning while going to work. I was braking right before a stop, but because of the rain my front wheel locked and I instantly lowsided. Was going about 40km/h when it happened. I rolled over about once and watched as my bike grinded to a stop (:cry:) a couple meters further. Was transported to the hospital shortly after that. Xrays were done, etc. Went to pick up the bike afterwards. So I've got a sprained ankle and right wrist atm. Didn't have more because I'm religious about wearing gear! The bike runs ok, though it's going to need a thorough inspection. Metal was grinded. My signal lights are shot. The engine guard left a bit of a mark in the side case, and my engine has a small knocking sound, I think. Still, it's all good, lol. Was really cool in retrospect, though I wouldn't try that again. -

Actually, and more seriously, the above combo seems pretty good for (meterless) carry and dmg as far as my testing tonight goes. You don't seem to get much different out of j.H CH -> 6H bounce -> etc. Might as well be stylish. :P Otherwise, how are you guys getting the "Link walk forward 5H -> P Pile" ender to work? They seem to tech too high for 5H to hit, and pretty sure I've been hitting with the very tip of 5H's hitbox. Otherwise, he's got some beast damage in the corner off of some variations of the combos posted in here. It's Late CH -> 6H -> IAD j.H -> 5H -> Undertow -> 5H -> P Pile = 270 dmg on Ky. If you hit with j.H CH instead for the above (more likely starter anyway), you still get 209 dmg. Not bad for a 7-hit combo! -
I missed your reply, Mac. Thanks for the info! I'll def. be using that option select. Her dash into mixup is so deadly if you don't counter it, so good to know you can poke out of it!

Lol, I like this new Slayer. You can do some really funky-looking combos. Take this simple thing I whipped up for instance: j.H CH -> 5H -> 2H -> j.K-2k-k -> dj.K-2k-k -> j.D -> j.2k -> j.D 147 dmg on Ky. Carries more or less full-screen. And it looks weird as hell. :P -

^ I'll add that on FRC, you can switch the 5k after 6p to a 6H for a bit more damage. Not sure if worth it, honestly. -

It's ok, we were all just tired and had a big argument. But we made up. We're back together now, with the Treasure Hunter trophy on the top shelf. So it's all cool now. Only 5-staring all missions is left until I'll have Plat'd FFXIII. It's going to be glorious. -

For the new combo thread, I would suggest making it as beginner-friendly as possible with full explanation of everything ever. *Hint, hint* :P (I just think a more complete and up-to-date front page would do wonders. The current state of the combo thread is that you need to know at least some Slayer beforehand, and read through a good portion of it. A lot of the combo discussions/discoveries are too scattered for the newbie to be of any use to him) -

I've finally, finally finished grinding turtles in FFXIII. I've acquired every single piece of equipment in the game after 3 years of concerted effort... Then I talk to Bhakti and get no Treasure Hunter trophy. Fuck youuuuuuu FFXIII. -

Funny you should mention Ninjas, because that's the name for Kawasaki's line of sport bikes. So yes, there are ninjas in there. :P -

Dunno if anyone's interested, but here's me going around the block. I finally removed the windshield and gave it a shot. I like the result. If I could just get the camera an inch higher, it would be perfect. -
After seeing Souji play at NEC, I'd just give up. Hang my controller right there. You can do nothing.

Good luck, mon ami! That's a lot of responsibility. Make him grow up into the Canadian equivalent of Daigo. I know you can do it.
