  1. Yep, UB super is totally unblockable, but the local Kokos can't combo it yet. I can't really say what's safe or not yet. Here's stuff I noticed, though: - Overhead hammer is v. unsafe. - Teleport is invuln. 1-24/26 (?), but unsafe up to its end at 33f. Can prob. jab her out of it as I've successfully used raw Shippu here. Implies it really needs to be set up to be safe. - Two types of mines: 22A is timed, while 22B is proximity/manual det. You can't go over them like with Rach poles. Can be cut. - Voidable projectiles: mines, fireballs, freeze gun, fireball super. I think that's it. - Her 6A is v. good. Beats a ton of shit outright. ... That's about it for now, I guess. I'll post more once the local Kokos develop their science.
  2. Will you be getting JP Xrd as well? I had the thought of saving the leftover Yen to make that purchase a bit cheaper overall. I think that would be a more worthwhile investment.
  3. Hmm... I said I'd do a write-up, but after thinking it over, her gameplan is similar enough to Rachel's that I don't know what I could say here that would make a difference. You're basically trying to get in while avoiding all traps + cutting stuff. Once in, dish it out. More or less the same as with the Rabbit. Even the RTSD gameplan is similar. Where Rachel will cover an approach with pumpkin + wind, Koko will go for a magnet + fireball + teleport setup. You'll then need to block a Litchi-ish mixup where the fireball acts like her Daisharin in the corner, except Koko can set this up midscreen. The only real differences I've found is that Koko has higher average dmg because a good starter will net her more, and she can control you better with magnets than Rachel can with wind. As for gimmicks... I haven't really witnessed them yet. I found her mixup relatively easy to block, though I'm sure that's going to change in the future. Haku can D counter many things, or cut projectiles which helps him a lot here. In the long run, I think this matchup will be Koko's advantage simply because she can zone Haku pretty well. He can still hold his own because of counters, void, and OD, so it's not a lopsided matchup. I suspect it will eventually be 6-4 Koko adv.
  4. Holy fucking shit, that is the last time I'm going downtown while there's a hockey game at the Bell centre. That traffic was terrible. 1h30 just to get in MTL + find parking, then got stuck for another 1h30 on a short stretch of highway because of construction. Never again. Anyway, had a blast tonight! Good games to everyone I played. I really need to up my Haku game to keep up with everyone. Good stuff! Yeah, since I wasn't planning on getting her. I'd have to ask you pay for her if you want her. Hope you don't mind.
  5. Yeah, played her quite a bit yesterday. She feels almost identical to Rachel, imo. Very similar gameplan. I'll be posting my thoughts in the Koko matchup thread once Mac has it up later tonight.
  6. Slayer was done just right, aside from that stump of a Pilebunker. DoT is just glorious. Loving Xrd. Thank you, based Arc.
  7. I'm sure. Won't be showing up tomorrow.
  8. You're most welcome. Have fun with CP, eh? Might not make it Sunday after all, other stuff got priority. There's always next Thursday.
  9. Here are tonight's results: Feel free to type it out if you want. Anyway, good shit tonight! Plenty of hype matches to go around. CP is honestly more fun than GG right now. Never would have thought I'd see the day where I'd say that. Now I need to get those OD combos down. There's no reason I shouldn't.
  10. Sweet write-up, Eb. I agree with pretty much everything. OD is really what bumps Haku up. If not for that, he wouldn't be as high as he is. That's the one, lol.
  11. He's a boss like that. Now give his Mission #30 a shot for his 12k OD combo. It's pringles.
  12. Initial impressions: - Loss of corner carry makes this matchup tougher. You really need to maximize combo damage. - 5D hold finds unexpected use here since it'll catch late swords for a free star. Cool. - OD hurts her a lot. Just as in CT where you would blow your load with 8 stars in one shot, OD serves the same purpose, except she can't burst. It may well be your most precious asset in this matchup. It's otherwise the same game since CT: you need to get in while avoiding/cutting swords, then go all-out and spend everything. Be patient, block everything, and don't get (air) grabbed.
  13. I should say that's only my initial impression so far. I haven't explored the Tager matchup in depth yet. I do feel that way because of the way the matchup is played, though. You're supposed to be poking him at a safe range, which is why j.C is so good now. Tager's buffs (and our nerfed counters) are definite plusses for him, but he still needs to be close to use them (where you got wrecked anyway previously). So the close game got slightly scarier, but this is offset by your poking game being superior. That's my view so far.
  14. I know, right?
  15. Man, is this guy annoying. He's in your face all the time and when you think he's finally finished comboing you, he adds some more stuff in there. Ok, so: - Stay out of his range. He's going to do some blockstring on you and sitting there will get you nowhere. I don't know what's safe/unsafe here, so for now I'd advocate just getting the hell out or countering if you're feeling ballsy. - Jumping out also prevents his annoying command throw. Get out of there. - Watch out for his counter super. He'll start walking towards you and the animation lasts for a couple seconds. I believe you can throw him in this state. - His AAs are good. I've had j.2C beat clean. Would recommend a strong spacing game instead. - Keep an eye on his meter. Expect more frequent reversal supers just because he can do them. Overall, you want a short match. This prevents him from building meter, which is where all his big damage comes from. He's got tools for most every situation, but nothing incredible. His weak point seems to be his range. Once you start spacing him out at around 5c length or so, his offence crumbles a bit. I would recommend keeping him at a safe distance while fishing for hits. This seems to be Haku's best bet at cutting this snake's head.
  16. I feel new j.C is a lopsided addition to the Tager matchup in that a small buff results in big changes. Since this matchup already revolves around you spacing him out, new j.C not only does more damage, but it blows him all the way into the corner in one shot. It's a big buff to Haku's spacing game here since he has to be doubly careful of a move you can just throw out casually. In my limited time vs. the local Tagers, this seems to me to be the biggest change. Everything else is more or less the same in principle: avoid getting too close, and play lame. Imo, where I felt it was Tager's favour in EX, it's now Haku's by .5 just because of j.C. It's that good in this matchup.
  17. So hype! Doing Hop Tsubaki -> Hotaru -> AD OD -> etc. is the hypest shit ever. Can't get enough.
  18. Sounds good to me. See you there.
  19. Lol yeah, it's "technically" $40, but if I gameshare then you have access to the DLC anyway (I think). :P ... But if $40 is your price point and there's no one else, I'd be cool with that.
  20. It's $120 because of the way you have to purchase it. You can't use an NA credit card, only JP. So you need to buy PSN codes to get Yen funded to your JP account. To do this, you buy JP PSN cards online. But the catch is that the game is Y6800, whereas the cards are only offered in Y1000, Y3000, Y5000, and Y10000 bundles. The store puts a markup of 20-80% on the cards, so it's not a direct Y -> CAD conversion. So it's $120 because it's more cost-effective to buy one Y10000 card than one Y5000 + two Y1000 cards (since you'd be purchasing Y7000 for essentially the same price as one Y10000 card). However! If we gameshare, then this $120 is split between two people making it $60 each, effectively the cheapest method around. It may sound a bit complicated with the way I explained it, but it's pretty self-evident if you check the way the pricing works on the website. :P (which you can do here: http://www.japan-codes.com/product-category/playstation-network-card) To sum it up simply: $60 for the JP v. $40 for the NA v. This includes DLC for each (otherwise it would be $40/$30 respectively). Hope this clears things up.
  21. Oh, you're welcome to gameshare the NA version with me (much appreciated!), but this is for the JP version. If you're willing to shell out $60 to get CP right now (JP), then hop on board. You're otherwise free to get the NA version instead if you'd like.
  22. I ended up getting digital CP after all, so it's first-come first-serve if you want to be the guy who gets the gameshare. You'll owe me $60, which covers the game + DLC. To offset this cost if you're getting the NA version as well, we can gameshare that too, which should come out to some $40 w/DLC.
  23. Played more Haku tonight. - Improved j.C is just gdlk. More dmg + huge blowback makes it a very effective air spacing tool now. Especially good against Tager. - Gatling into 3c is sweet. - OD is MAD FUN. It's like having slayer dmg on tap! The offset to all this is he lost corner carry and relies a lot more on oki to get his dmg. I don't feel he's ever been designed as an oki character in mind, so I've got mixed feelings about this. Knockdown, stagger, 6B CH, and the j.C blowback are all nice to have. But he's lost some versatility and corner dmg potential. If it weren't for OD, I doubt he'd be anywhere above mid to upper-mid tier. As it is though, OD is really the wild card. It's the game-changer that allows a win on a dime. Overall, I like him. He's not the efficient killing machine he was in EX, but I think he's got some flash and style to make up for that. Work that oki/burst dmg and you'll be ok as a CP Haku player.
  24. Man, CP is too good. I'll admit I didn't have high expectations for this game, so I've been pleasantly surprised with the effort Arc's put into it. I think the increased pace of the game is the most beneficial aspect it's received in a long time. I'm just a bit sad that CS wasn't like this off the bat as I think that hurt the BB franchise after CT. But for the first time I can honestly say BB's moved out of GG's shadow. It's its own FG now. Good shit, Arc. Anyway, yay for the Return of the King Kaeru. Good to see you again. :D Good games to everyone I played. That was some hype shit. Now I need to learn those OD combos and really get my Haku going.
  25. No, I don't believe anyone has.
