Montreal: Le Thread Generale Pour Weeaboo Fighters

We could probably meet at the south entrance to make an easy exit to the 40 as well. Now we just need Darkwolf to show signs of life. Where are youuuuuuu? -

I think I saw Slayer combo off 6p CH into 6H -> Pile. Did like 40% or something. Lolz. -

Still missing Darkwolf on my end. Sent him a PM, but he hasn't replied yet. -

So Gundam was good. I could see myself having a pocket Gundam, just in case. Just need to find my GundamSlayer and I'm set. -

Lol, so I guess we're in good hands no matter what. Good to hear. Excessive damage almost defines Slayer. He wouldn't be Slayer without it! Even so, he's still got pretty decent mixup and good defence, so given his chara design alone he should be fine even if he loses his damage. He might as well be a link chara considering how many of his combo routes have links. His late gatlings are also tight enough that they might as well be links. I still whiff a fuckton of his combos in matches just because his link timing puts me off. -

Fairview would be chill. We should all know where that is. It's close to the 40 which we'll need to take to get to Ottawa anyway. Darkwolf, Fairview sound good to you? -

Hmm... Saw no mention of this, but are Slayer's moves still a bunch of late gatlings? -

Well, a place to pick you up would be perfect. That could either be your house or someplace nearby that's easy(ier) to get to. Up to you. -

I'm a bit worried about Slayer from the footage I've seen. There's nothing to indicate he's got his Slayer Damage back, but I'm at least pleased he seems to have his style more or less intact by the looks of it. I'm hype regardless of where he ends up on the tier list, though! -

Yeah, I live all the way out in Pierrefonds-Roxboro as well. I wouldn't mind picking you guys up or catching someone out of the way either. My phone # on the front page is way outdated, btw. It's 514-966-1447 now. -
Yep, meter gain change as expected. It's going to affect his game outside of combos as I feared. I already made the observation that it could be a pretty big change to his playstyle, and this seems to confirm that view. Let's see if there are ways around it with some testing...

Heya Ken, glad to hear you're alive! Sadly enough, we already recieved our shirts about two weeks ago now, so you're about a month or two late to the party. They were commissioned by Kaeru and fulfilled by Gildan. Hit up the K-man if you're interested in your own! Good luck with your business, though. It's going to be tough, but don't give up. :] -
Play him moar. He can widely vary between playing like shit and playing like Daigo on Yomi Heaven Level 9.
-
If anything, I'd be more tempted to whine about Tsubaki than Azrael myself. Tsubaki has got to be one of the most annoying characters to play against in the game. Or maybe it's just the local player. Nerf Tsubaki. :<

We have some very angry people in this thread. Chill out, yo.

I'm thinking of j.D -> Fatal Agito -> Hotaru -> etc. as a thing.
-
^ Input each move asap. Hit with j.D as high and early as possible, then do j.2k. It's actually not too hard once you get it.
-
Haku nerfs are... pretty much exactly what he needed. But he doesn't get anything other than that, so boring changes overall. :/ Seems like the top is getting nerfed a bit, and the bottom is being brought up as well. Should make for an interesting EVO!
-
So new changes are in: Hakumen - Air Throw – Can no longer cancel the first hit into Overdrive. The second hit now ground bounces - Magatama Gauge – Decreases the rate that the gauge increases while Hakumen is midair. (Includes during Overdrive) - 6D – Increased the forward movement greatly, now has less recovery when it misses - Jump D – Can now be canceled into Agito immediately with only the press of an A button - Agito – Increased hitstop and recovery, is now worse on block While I agree with all the changes, I don't feel like he changed all that much. They basically made it harder to confirm OD while toning down dmg via meter gain nerf. Was also hoping we'd get something extra, but it doesn't seem to be the case. They didn't do much beyond "fixing" him. Sucks.

I also have to disagree about erosion. So long as people are consistent about coming, we'll have a community. It's being consistent that got us the numbers we have today, otherwise we never would have grown beyond the couple guys we used to be just 4-5 years ago (has it really been that long already? Damn). These days, pretty much any day you go you can expect at least a couple guys, and if we split, then it should be more evenly distributed. I'm sure we'll be fine. Anyway, I like Foonzo because it offers more than just games. NCBA and the HQ died out for being an unsustainable model (not to mention being sketchy as fuck). They'd have to offer something Foonzo doesn't for me to make the switch. Besides, we aren't yet to the point where going to Foonzo isn't feasible. There's still plenty of space on the off-days as it's really just Thursdays that are jam-packed as it is. My 2c. -
BB actually slowed down post-CT. It's only now with CP that it got sped up again, and it's a welcome change. CS1 was by far the slowest iteration.
