  1. My list. Online, of course. :3 Nu: DB72331 (or something like it) Hakumen: Ka-ru-ra / Bludika Tager: MojoPlenty / Heroic-Legacy Bang: Lord-Cruxis Litchi: EvBot Arakune: I don't play vs. Arakune Carl: Electrorobotic Taokaka: Ronove-The-Earl / TaoFTW Noel: SKD / Moemoekyun Rachel: Otakuspeedvibe / Zinac Ragna: Abelcru (used to kick his ass every encounter... now he kicks mine) Jin: Moi_X7 / ChrissCr0ss I'm sure there's better players out there, but this is my hit list.
  2. 3c -> 2c -> j.2c -> corner loop. Your move. :kitty::vbang:

  3. Easier said than done. Haku sucks vs. zoning Rachel. :\ But yeah, I get you in the corner, it's EZ MODO.

  4. J.D sucks, Hotaru is a better option. His 6b is counterable with 5D/6D, but also 2b. The one to pick is the one that puts you closest/into the corner. Between 6D/2b, I pick 2b because 6D prorates and 2b directly goes into falling.C -> loop if next to the corner for good damage. EDIT: Forgot to add you can also do TK Hotaru, but I find this is riskier if you're not fast enough. Whatever the case, punish that 6b as hard as you can.
  5. Alright, from now on I'll try to get up a vid before asking for something specific. Okay, now I realize I might have simply been playing wrong. I always try to get in on Ragna and find it difficult to mount any sort of offense against him, which means I jump around a lot in this match. If playing defensive aggression is the way to go, then I'll get to working on that. DP isn't a problem, it just makes certain approaches harder. The Ragna knows I can counter with a heavy 6c CH combo, so it's not easy to bait either. His 6a will be less of a problem since I'll stop staying in the air too much. By far j.C, I mean he hits with the very tip of the hitbox. It makes 6a either clash or I miss-time it. I guess I'm just not using it right. Yeah, his 5b is a really good tool and he's going to take advantage of it. His normals in general are the pain of this match, and Ragnas who know Haku are just . I'm not good with reaction counters, so I keep those for in-between block-strings. Alright, I'll get to work on these things which hopefully make the match more manageable. Not easy to set up, but I'll give it a shot. As always, thanks a lot for the info, guys. By the time CS rolls around I'll be sure to have a pro Haku on hand.
  6. Thanks, any bit of info helps. :)

  7. I hate this match-up. Feels 6-4 against a good Ragna who knows Haku, though I think it's really 5.5-4.5 in his favor. I've read this whole thread, but I'd like some extra input in dealing with guys who know Haku inside-out. More specifically they... (hypothetically... no one's play is perfect): - Can bait counters when doing block strings. - Are hard to get in because of Inferno and 6a. - Have good spacing, can punish my normals on reaction. - Seal my 6a with far j.C. - Never use unsafe stuff. Etc, etc. This match is a nightmare of having to guess right and basically offering myself as a sandbag for any chance to actually do damage. : \ Tips?
  8. O Great Sensei! I need to up my game against Rachel and Noel! Can you be of assistance to this poor wretch who selfishly aspires to be little more than a worm in an avian's plate?

  9. Okay, I went back several pages and dug stuff up: Ryoko on Noel. Posts around and before this one seem to have lots of Noel talk, so check e'm out. Ryoko's Noel matches. That's what I wanted to find. Time to study!
  10. Yeeouch. Okay, so that didn't go so well. First thing to come to mind, though: good job on the hop hotaru. You've gotten around to those, eh? I'll admit I don't know where to start... I'm guessing you haven't played that many good Noels? I'll just say playing defensive doesn't mean staying put. You can generate pressure just walking forward. Don't use 5c on Noel if she's running at you, 3c is better. You also got caught by air throws at obvious moments, tech those. I'll re-watch because there isn't much more I can go off of. EDIT: What Ryoko said. In fairness, I think you just chose the wrong stance to take against this guy. The way I deal with Noel is to punish her offense since I'm not good at pressuring her. I can block her mix-ups, so I can do so pretty safely. This sounds like the defensive option you wanted to use in this case, so maybe you can go with that instead.
  11. Which combo is this? I can always copy/paste my own combo file, and you can use that if you want.
  12. Ahhh, nvm. Forget I asked anything. I'll just ask the guy once I go there next week. Sorry to bother you for nothing, I'll be more on top of things next time. :)

  13. Oh, I was asking the question under the assumption you were using my account when I'd left last week, so naturally I'd have some unpaid debt. So I was wondering if there was a deadline of sorts the guy might have mentioned (you can leave and pay next time you come, right?)? If not, it's cool, I'm going there next week anyway. ... I am, of course, assuming I correctly understand how stuff works, which I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out I don't ... :v:

  14. Hey, before I forget, did the guy at Net Champ say anything about deadlines to pay for your account over there? With my hearing, I wouldn't want to find some nasty surprise waiting outside my house in the form of two suits in front of a black SUV, if you know what I mean. :v:

  15. ^ I think they're about the same speed. But as JackG notes, "your j.C is bigger, so you win".
  16. Yikes! Aggressive Hakumen indeed! There's nothing I can say beyond I'm going to steal some of this stuff. Solid pressure, well-executed combos, tech trap near the corner... even proper use of counters. This dude's got it all.
  17. ^ The only one I'm aware of is the one in the post above yours. I really haven't seen that much consistent high-level use of voiding projectiles.
  18. I agree with Miso. We might not explicitly say so, but your contribution is very much appreciated. This board has already lost a lot of OG people, so you leaving would be a pretty big blow to the community. I understand you might not tolerate a lot of the stuff being said, but I just wish for you to be aware that the thankful majority supports what you bring to the table. :)

  19. All hail Mac, greatest Haku this side of the console division! Such is your prowess that any comment I may make your way is a mere insult to your abilities! I'll bet they will even name a new burger after you: the Chaos Mac. They mash in everything they got, but it still works because it's just that good! <cough> More seriously, there isn't much more I could say. You seem to have a good handle on the Nu match-up, and I'm not pro enough to go into the fine details. If you have matches that aren't vs. Nu, I might be able to offer more... Clutch counters. Only immediate thing I'd say needs addressing is your combos. You really should learn to do falling.C stuff, the damage you get off those is really good. I can help you get them down if you're having trouble with 'em. Beyond that, from seeing you play, you've got solid fundamentals and those psychic counters. If you even add in IB'ing to your game, I'd hate to be at the receiving end of your Haku. It'll especially help you against Bangs and Litchis, anyway.
  20. Don't got too much time right now, so real fast... I can see you use Kishuu very well. As Slayer said, try not to waste stars (blocked j.C -> enma) unless you're going for a crush. You seem to have the same throw-happy habit that I do, so try to tone that down a bit and go for pokes or 2b if you're in range. Characters with DP's will DP you out of a throw more often than not. Didn't get a chance to see how well you combo, so I can't comment on that. Besides that, you've got a good Haku and you're good at handling Nu. Keep it up! Good Haku you got there. You seem to have your combos down, so no comment there. All I can say from a minute or so of watching is you could learn to IB since it seems you have everything else down well enough. That's all I got for now, gotta bail.
  21. ^ TK Tsubaki -> 2c works, you just have to be fast enough that it comes out low. Anyway, been practicing combos, so I have a few remarks: - Using meter on air throw is a waste. Meterless, you get 3.5k mid-screen, and more with the corner. - For this combo: 3c CH -> 2b -> Gurren -> hop 5b -> Gurren -> 5c -> Gurren -> 6c. Any reason why I should use 2b instead of 2c? Also, why the above combo, and not: 3c CH -> 2c -> Gurren -> 5c -> Gurren -> 6c? It does 3k, whereas hop 5b 3 star version only adds ~250dmg to that. It seems better to me, unless I'm missing something? - Is it worth it to staircase to the point where you can do j.C after a Tsubaki? AA 2c -> sj.C -> Hotaru -> dj.C -> Tsubaki -> j.C -> 2c -> sj.2c -> AD j.2c Will net you about 5k, but it seems it's also Haku's most damaging option off an AA 2c mid-screen. - Otherwise, I'm finding... 6c CH -> Gurren -> falling.C combo (5k dmg for 3 stars!!) Quite positively addicting. I've been throwing out 6c a little bit too much as a consequence. Finally, Leonil, how do you go about landing a low j.C? Jumping after a knockdown doesn't seem to give me enough time to land one, unless I'm doing it wrong? Also, how do you do the Ho/Tsu loop while in Mugen? I just can't seem to get it right...
  22. ^ Oh yeah, for sure. I'll finally get to practice some new stuff today, so I'll be incorporating a lot of them. You should post more vids of your Haku, too. We're all curious to see how you play! @Mac: Thanks, your Haku looks a solid one, too. I was kind of spamming air throw back there, so don't take that too much to heart. :P Generally, air throw if they jump/airdash too much or you anticipate it. You can air throw guys who go for a cross-up right in front of you, too. Bangs and Jins, for example. Jump back -> free CH AA throw. Just takes practice and timing like all other things Haku. @Miso: I know I'm throw-happy, but I can't help it! It just lands so often for a ton of damage! I'm also working on getting down a defense like A-92's. It'll take a while, though, like everything else. In the meantime, you can always teach me the ways of Haku, sensei.
  23. Yeah, this is really cool. I really appreciate your help. I'll also be checking out Zetaboards, and then it's training time!
  24. On the subject of guard crush, you can do: j.C -> 2c -> gurren -> enma -> renka (2) -> enma -> j.C For a near guaranteed crush from even libra. It's really surprising how much enma/renka push the bar. @Miso: Haha, sure. I'm only on during fridays/weekends and maybe thursdays, though. But I'll take you up on it since I could learn from you. And, ahhh... whatever, here are most of the combos I use. I keep my own file, so it's not something I have to type up anyway. :P Off Normals 1) 2a x2 -> renka (2) -> Gurren -> 6c 2) 6a CH (on grounded opp.) -> falling.C combo 3) 6a CH (AA) -> 5c -> Gurren -> [6c] or [Kishuu -> 2c -> j.2c -> IAD j.C/2c]. Second to push into corner. 4) 6b CH -> 2c -> j.2c -> j.C/2c. I dislike using mag on 6b. 5) 3c CH -> 2c -> j.2c -> j.C (I'll be phasing this one out) 6) 2/5 b/c CH -> falling.C combo 7) 6c CH -> Shippu Counters 8) 6c -> shippu or 6c alone. Specials 9) Renka (1) -> Zan -> Gurren -> 6c or corner variant. 10) Renka (2) -> Gurren -> 6c 11) Hop Hotaru -> [5c -> Gurren -> 6c] or [falling.C] 12) Hop Tsubaki -> 2c -> j.2c -> j.C 13) (Close to the kill or in need of big dmg) [Whatever] -> Shippu -> Kishuu -> [push into corner for loop if possible]. 14) (Same as above) Yukikaze -> Kishuu -> [corner loop] That's most of them, though j.a CH -> 5c -> 2c -> etc. is the only one off my head I haven't listed.
  25. Awesome, I'll work on these. Oh, don't take anything uploaded before the december vids too seriously. I got a lot better since the october stuff. The most I blow now is [Whatever] -> renka (1) -> Zan -> Gurren -> 6c, supposing I'm not in the corner. I guess I could post all the combos I use and we can see what I'm doing wrong, though...
